The German language is fascinating! It is a West Germanic language primarily spoken in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and parts of Italy, Belgium, and Luxembourg. It is also one of the official languages of
the European Union. German is known for its compound words, grammatical structure, and its three genders:
masculine, feminine, and neuter. It has a rich literary tradition and has contributed significantly to fields like
philosophy, science, and music. German is a complex and fascinating language with a rich cultural heritage.
Learning it can open up opportunities for communication, travel, and cultural exploration.
Class description:
All are classes are based on reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Each class we will learn new topics and
grammar patterns. And every class we will be doing revision of the all the previous topics. Classes are interactive
and with easy to learn approach. With audios and videos for all topics makes it more stimulating session.
Learning Goals:
The most important: Speak German Language fluently. Apart from this, to overall develop reading, listening, and
speaking skills.
Assessment:
After every week, the details of the class will be shared with the guardian or yourself. Assessment will be done on regular
basis.
Materials for course:
All the books, audios and videos and any other assignment materials will be provided from my end. Please note, the books
will be in e-books format.
Duration & Age group:
Per session of 1 hour. Time flexibility is provided. This language can be learned from the age group +6 years & above.
1.) A1 Level (Beginner)
Listening: Can understand familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at satisfying concrete needs.
Reading: Can recognize familiar names, words, and very simple sentences, for example on notices and posters or in catalogues.
Speaking: Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
Writing: Can write a short, simple postcard, for example sending holiday greetings. Can fill in forms with personal details, for
example entering a name, nationality, and address on a hotel registration form.
2.) A2 Level (Elementary)
Listening: Can understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance
(e.g., very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
Reading: Can read very short, simple texts. Can find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material such as
advertisements, prospectuses, menus, and timetables.
Speaking: Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics
and activities.
Writing: Can write short, simple notes and messages relating to matters in areas of immediate need. Can write a very simple
personal letter, for example thanking someone for something.
3.) B1 Level German (Intermediate)
Listening: Can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school,
leisure, etc.
Reading: Can understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday or job-related language. Can understand the
description of events, feelings, and wishes in personal letters.
Speaking: Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce
simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
Writing: Can write simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. Can write personal letters describing
experiences and impressions.
4.) B2 Level German (Upper Intermediate)
Listening: Can understand extended speech and lectures and follow even complex lines of argument provided the topic is
reasonably familiar.
Reading: Can read articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular attitudes or
viewpoints. Can understand contemporary literary prose.
Speaking: Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite
possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on
a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Writing: Can write clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects related to his/her interests. Can write an essay or report,
passing on information or giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view.
5.) C1 Level German (Advanced)
Listening: Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Reading: Can understand a
wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meanings. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously
without much obvious searching for expressions.
Speaking: Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-
structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive
devices.
Writing: Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational

6.) C2 Level German (Proficient)
Listening: Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.
Reading: Can read virtually all forms of the written language, including abstract, structurally or linguistically complex texts such
as manuals, specialized articles, and literary works.
Speaking: Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently, and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in
more complex situations.
Writing: Can write clear, smoothly flowing text in an appropriate style. Can write complex letters, reports, or articles that present
a case with an effective logical structure which helps the recipient to notice and remember significant points. Can write summaries
and reviews of professional or literary works.
