Instructions
Work in continuous rounds.

Head (in cream):

Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 6inc (12)
Rnd 3: (1inc, 1sc) x6 (18)
Rnd 4: 1sc, 1inc, (2sc, 1inc)x5, 1sc (24)
Rnd 5: (1inc, 3sc) x6 (30)
Rnd 6: 2sc, 1inc, (4sc,1inc) x5, 2sc (36)
Rnd 7: (1inc, 5sc) x6 (42)
Rnd 8: 3sc, 1inc, (6sc, 1inc) x5, 3sc (48) Once the head is complete, stuff the head
Rnd 9-15: 48sc (48) and insert the safety eyes between
Rnd 16: 3sc, 1invdec, (6sc, 1invdec) x5, 3sc (42) rounds 9 and 10.
Rnd 17: (1invdec, 5sc) x6 (36)
Rnd 18: 2sc, 1invdec, (4sc, 1invdec) x5, 2sc (30) They should be 9 stitches apart.
Rnd 19: (1invdec, 3sc) x6 (24)
Rnd 20: 1sc, 1invdec, (2sc, 1invdec) x5, 1sc (18)

Fasten off. No need to leave a long tail.

Arms x2 (starting in brown):

Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 6inc (12)
Rnd 3: 12sc (12)
Rnd 4: change colour to cream, then 12sc (12)
Rnd 5-12: 12sc (12)
Rnd 13: (1invdec, 1sc) x4 (8)

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Stuff the arms. I like to add more stuffing to the bottom of the arms and leave the tops of the arms more lightly
stuffed so that the arms are floppy.

Legs x2 (starting in brown):

Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 6inc (12)
Rnd 3: (1inc, 1sc) x6 (18)
Rnd 4: BLO 18sc (18). IMPORTANT: In the last stitch of this round, change to the colour you’ll be using for your
overalls.
This will be a ‘straight’ colour change, so now slip stitch around in the back loops of all 18 st.
Rnd 5: sc in the back loops of all 18 of the slip stitches you just did (18)
Rnd 6-11: 18sc (18)
For the first leg: fasten off. No need to leave a long tail.
For the second leg: don't cut the yarn, you will use this yarn to crochet the body.

Body (in overalls colour):

Now we will crochet the two legs together.

Using the yarn from the 2nd leg:

Rnd 12: 1ch, *18sc on the 1st leg, 1sc in ch, 18sc on the 2nd leg, 1sc in ch (38)

*Note: after you’ve done your 1ch for Rnd12: insert your hook into the stitch opposite where you finished off on the
first leg. This will ensure the colour changes for both legs are round the back.

Rnd 13: 9sc, 1inc, 8sc, 2inc, 8sc, 1inc, 8sc, 1inc (43)
Rnd 14: 1inc, 42sc (44)
Rnd 15-17: 44sc (44)
Rnd 18: (1invdec, 9sc) x4 (40)
Rnd 19: 40sc (40)
Rnd 20: (1invdec, 8sc) x4 (36)
Rnd 21: 36sc (36)
Rnd 22: (1invdec, 7sc) x4 (32)
Rnd 23: 32sc (32)
Rnd 24: (1invdec, 6sc) x4 (28)
Rnd 25: 28sc (28)
Rnd 26: (1invdec, 5sc) x3, 1invdec, CHANGE COLOUR to the body colour in the back loop of the next stitch and then
slip stitch in the back loops until the end of the round. (20sc + 4 sl st)
This will be a ‘straight’ colour change so now slip stitch in the back loops of the 20sc from round 26 and then single
crochet in the back loops of the final 4 slip stitches from round 26.
Rnd 27: sc in the back loops all the way around (24)
Rnd 28: (1invdec, 4sc) x4 (20)
Rnd 29: (8sc, 1invdec) x2 (18)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Now stuff the body.

Ears x2 (in brown):

Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 6sc (6)
Rnd 3: 6inc (12)
Rnd 4: 12sc (12)
Rnd 5: (1inc, 1sc) x6 (18)
Rnd 6: 18sc (18)
Rnd 7: (1invdec, 1sc) x6 (12)

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Do not stuff the ears.

Horns x2 (in dark brown):
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2-3: 6sc (6)

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

I generally just use the tail from the magic

ring to stuff the horns.

Tail (in cream):

Chain 7
Starting in the 2nd chain from the hook: slip stitch all the way down the chain.

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Add brown tassels to the bottom of the tail.

I usually cut 6 pieces of yarn (around 20cm each) and then
pull through 2 yarn pieces at a time through the
bottom of the tail and tie.

Trim the tassels to your desired length.

Nose (in brown):

Ch 7 and then starting from 2nd ch from your hook: 5sc, 1inc
Now you are going to be working on the underside of chain: 1inc, 4sc, 1inc (15)
Rnd 1: (1sc, 1inc) x 7, 1sc (22)
Rnd 2: 22sc (22)
Rnd 3: 1inc, 9sc, 2inc, 9sc, 1 inc (26)
Then do 3 more sc and a sl st to finish off
(I find that this just makes the nose shape look more even).

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Overalls pockets (in overalls colour):

1x large pocket
Chain 9.
Row 1: Starting from 2nd chain from the hook: sc in each chain (8). Chain 1. TURN.
Row 2: sc in each st (8). Chain 1. TURN.
Row 3: sc in each st (8)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

1x small pocket
Chain 5.
Row 1: Starting from 2nd chain from the hook: sc in each chain (4). Chain 1. TURN.
Row 2: sc in each st (4). Chain 1. TURN.
Row 3: sc in each st (4)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Large pocket Small pocket

Overalls straps x2 (in overalls colour):

Chain 10.

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Flowers x4 (DK yarn colours of your choice):

Use a 3mm hook
For the flower itself: Create a slip knot and chain 3. Then into the very first chain: dc, chain 2, sl st. This is the first
petal.

Then for each of the remaining 4 petals: chain 2, dc, chain 2, sl st (all into that first chain).

When you have 5 petals, fasten off and tie off ends at the back of the flower and trim as close to the flower as
possible.
For the centre of the flower: Use a French knot
(there are lots of great YouTube videos if you’re unsure how to do this!)

French knot: Bring your needle up through the middle of the flower. Wrap the yarn around the needle point twice
and then insert it back down through the centre of the flower. Knot at the back of the flower to secure and trim all
yarn ends.

For the flower stem:

Chain 10. Then starting from 2nd chain from the hook: sc all the way down the chain.

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Now using whip stitches, sew the two edges of the stem piece together to make it more cylindrical.

Warning: This will be very fiddly!

Now sew the stem to the back of the flower, trim yarn tail and weave in.
Assembly:
