Sewing the fingers 6

1. Place Finger B between the two Finger A's, ensuring it's

centered.
2. Connect (by sewing or SL ST) Finger B to both Finger A's
with 3 stitches, aligning them as evenly as possible.
3. Ensure Finger B has 5 stitches on each side after sewing.
4. Each Finger A should have 13 stitches remaining.

Refer to the graph below for stitch counts in each finger.

Optional: Place stitch markers before and after the 3 sewn

stitches to easily identify them in future rounds, when
connecting the hand to the fingers.

Connect your yarn to the end of a finger you just made. We will
work in rounds. Make sure you are working in the same direction
as the stitches you made for the finger.

You will have a total of 36 stitches once the fingers are connected, keep
following the pattern bellow.

R2: *INC, 19 SC* x2 (42)
R3-6: SC around (42) (4 rounds)
Do not cut the yarn, we will keep working in rounds once we attach the thumb on
the next page.

Sewing the thumb to the hand

To attach the thumb, sew 4 stitches

together, aligning them with the
corresponding finger. Ensure the
stitches on the thumb are oriented in
the same direction as the stitches on
the hand, as we will continue working
in the same rounds.

Optional: Place stitch markers before and after the 4 sewn stitches to
easily identify them in future rounds, when connecting the thumb to
the hand.
The hand 9
We are back to working on the hand, which is now at row 7. With the thumb
connected we now have 50 stitches in the entire round.

READ BELOW. There will be two options available to finish the arm.
R19-79: SC around and add stuffing as you go (10) (60 rounds) (You can make
this part longer or shorter!)

Option 1 (NO-SEW): keep working R19-79 SL ST, fasten off cut yarn and leave a tail
for sewing.
TIP: When working on the arm of the hand, the arm will naturally twist as you
complete more rounds, requiring frequent hand flipping. To minimize this, hold the
arm in place and twist it 3-5 times. If working clockwise, twist counterclockwise; if
working counterclockwise, twist clockwise.

Option 2: (SEW) Making a tube (arm) separately to minimise twisting while

crocheting.
If you wish, you can simply work on the arm separately from the hand. This will
require sewing the arm to the hand and the ring. To do so, SL ST cut the yarn of the
yarn and follow the pattern bellow :
R1: CH 10 (10)
SL ST in the first chain to connect.
R2- 34: SC around, add stuffing as you go (10) (32 rounds)
SL ST to connect, fasten off and cut the yarn but leave a tail for sewing.
10
Sewing the pieces together

Using the tail of yarn left from the arm, sew the ring to the end of
the arm, carefully aligning the seam where the ring was closed.
