STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

In today’s era where IT and the business industry have become the fastest-growing and most prospective areas,
integrating business administration into computer science is among the most confronting challenges. An
interplay between technology, business, and society can be evident without a hitch indicating the
comprehensive need for software systems to ensure digital transformation. The prerequisite of having
expertise in this particular domain persuaded me to compass my learning toward advanced knowledge and
methodologies. This letter is to express my keen interest in pursuing a master’s degree – Master’s in Global
Software Development at your esteemed education institute – FULDA UNIVERSITY.

Irrespective of the most demanding and challenging field, the sphere fascinates me the most. My interest in
studying computer sciences is driven by my childhood habit of reading articles and being fascinated by movies
with underlying computing themes. This habit benefited me in many aspects; it improved my understanding of
scientific and computing ideas and concepts as well as boosted my confidence that I will be able to make a
career in computer science. Alongside, this always inspired me to think out of the box and be more creative.

Nonetheless, as I was exploring various career paths, I chose science subjects during high school. Even though
I excelled in those subjects and achieved good grades, my prominent area of interest in exploring computing
concepts remains influential in choosing a degree program for my undergraduate studies. I realized the growing
opportunities in the field of computing. It was a pivotal event that made me choose computer science as my
career.

Foreseeing the significance of in-depth knowledge of basic computing concepts such as programming, web
development, web designing, etc. which were barely stretched during high school studies, I decided to pursue
an advanced diploma. I joined the APTECH Institute in 2016. The three-year advanced diploma in software
engineering delve deeper into the core concepts of programming, database, application development, cloud
computing, etc., offering a more specialized and intensive study experience. My strong foundation and passion
for getting admission to a reputable university became my strength, which helped me accomplish my goal. In
2019, I got admitted to the most competitive degree program – a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
offered by one of the well-renowned Universities in Pakistan, MAJU University Karachi. It was the first milestone
I accomplished towards my dream.

The four-year journey of the graduate program was a great learning and enriching process for me. The broad
spectrum of curriculum further concreted my knowledge in core modules on software systems through subjects
like Introduction to Programming, Object-oriented Programming Techniques, Software Engineering, and
application development for mobile devices. Expanding the horizon to the core modules of hardware systems
such as digital logic design, computer architecture and assembly language, and computer communication and
networking. The comprehensively designed curriculum also taught me extensive knowledge in advanced
computing techniques through subjects like Artificial Intelligence and Human Computer Interaction.
Maintaining my academic performance, I graduated with a CGAP of 3.53/4.00, ranking among my badge's top
10% of students in my class.

The practical approach of my bachelor's degree program added valuable dynamics to this program. During my
bachelor studies, I completed various semester projects, including taxi service, restaurant desktop application,
etc. The projects based on designing management information systems such as inventory management
systems for pharmacies and blood bank management systems were the most interesting and provided me with
a vast scope to implement concepts of software development and software project management in real-time
scenarios. These projects stretched my learning from choosing the right technology, programming language,
hardware and software fragmentation, and high-end security to ensuring compatibility with third-party APIs.
The Virtual Business Incubation was designed as our final year project. The project was developed on web
application with React.js, Node.js, BAAS as Firebase, and Database as SQL. The goal of a business incubator was
to help entrepreneurs overcome the challenges of starting and growing a new venture by providing them with
a supportive environment, access funding and networks, and other resources. I also added a feature of project
management system in a web application to track the progress and distribute the task between the team to
manage the workflow till the completion of the project. Additionally, the integration of an application provided
admin panel oversight for onboarding businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, resources, and sales.
While developing this project, I amassed valuable insights into the world of business prospects, particularly
startups.

In parallel to academia, I was fortunate enough to shape my career in the corporate world. While working in
ETECH MAESTRO as a Web Developer and Web Designer, I was exposed to the development and
implementation of websites attaining a strong knowledge of bridging the gap between technology and business
goals. I also amassed a responsibility for integrating API’s of third-party software solutions for an optimized
technological landscape. I also honed my software engineering expertise during my tenure at Venture Dive. I
not only gained valuable insights in software development but also in software quality assurance. The close
collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, and develop functional specifications documents,
strengthened my influencing, and negotiation skills, while honing leadership, teamwork, and creativity skills.
Foreseeing the complexity and the constant evolution of this particular sphere reinforced my passion to
broaden my learning horizons in the field of Software Development.

While gaining first-hand experience, I became proficient in various programming languages, platforms, and
project management tools and methodologies, including PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, JAVA, Python, JS, C#, .Net,
SQL, My SQL, Firebase, JSON, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, API Integration, API Testing, Agile, Waterfall, Jira, Meta Ads,
Digital Marketing and WordPress, OpenCart, VPS.

With an ambition to excel in my career in computer science, the significance of having advanced knowledge in
the specialized domain urged me to pursue post-graduate studies with advanced skills. I am confident that the
Master’s in Software Systems at Bamberg University will be a smooth transition from previous studies and
professional experience.

Signing up for this practical-oriented master's program will hone my analytic, creative, and constructive abilities,
enabling me to develop software systems addressing complex challenges. The core focus on programming,
technologies, methods, and applications will solidify my knowledge in the design and realization of complex,
distributed software systems. I am particularly drawn to the modules including parallel programming, Model-
driven development, Cloud computing and BigData and NoSQL Databases, and Building Web and Mobile
Applications. These courses build a strong foundation bridging the gap between my experience and graduate
studies as well as it will scale up my professional hierarchy. The focus on intercultural topics during my Master's
thesis is also captivating for me. Additionally, the qualified faculty aims to provide their hallmark skills including
leadership, personality development, and solving complex and unclear problems with innovative solutions.

This journey of widening my limits of learning capacity promises to be challenging and exciting but my
educational background and my practical experiences have equipped me to make a significant contribution to
Fulda University's Global Software Development program. I am certain that the curriculum will help me advance
my abilities and give me the knowledge I need to succeed in this fast-paced industry.
