for a long-term student visa to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering for Natural Risk
Management at the University of Genoa. This prestigious program is scheduled to
commence on 16th September 2024 and will span two years.
Personal Information and Academic Background
I am ** years old, born on 10th February 199*. My academic journey began at Aftab Uddin
School and College, Kishoreganj, Bangladesh, where I completed my Secondary School
Certificate (SSC) in 2013 with a GPA of 4.19 out of 5.00. I continued my education at
Milestone College, Dhaka, Bangladesh, achieving a GPA of 5.00 out of 5.00 in my Higher
Secondary Certificate (HSC) in 2015.
In 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (BCSE)
from the University of IUBAT, Bangladesh, attaining a CGPA of 3.56 out of 4.00. My studies
encompassed both theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science, particularly
focusing on ICT techniques. Under the mentorship of Assistant Professor Dr. Abhijit Saha,
I engaged in thesis and projects that honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the
field. My coursework related topics such as " Data Collection and Analysis, Modeling and
Simulation, Alert Systems, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and
Automation, Cyber Infrastructure, which have prepared me well for advanced studies in
Engineering for Natural Risk Management.
Purpose of Travel and Motivation
My decision to study at the University of Genoa is driven by my aspiration to become an
expert in Engineering for Natural Risk Management and to contribute to solving the complex
natural challenges facing our world today. The University of Genoa's distinguished faculty,
comprehensive curriculum, and strategic location in the Mediterranean region make it an
ideal place for my studies.
Pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering for Natural Risk Management will enable me to
build on my academic foundation and acquire the necessary skills to address risk
management issues effectively. I am particularly inspired by the opportunity to learn from
esteemed professors such as Gabriele Moser, Raffaele, and Andrea Randazzo, whose
expertise will undoubtedly enrich my academic experience.
Financial Sponsorship and Support
My mother, ** Akter, will be sponsoring my education and living expenses. She maintains
a robust financial standing with sufficient funds in her savings account at Agrani Bank
Limited. My annual tuition fee is €0, and the estimated monthly living expenses are around

of my program. I have secured temporary accommodation through Booking.com and am
actively seeking permanent housing through the university's accommodation services.

Future Plans and Career Aspirations
Upon completing my Master's degree, I intend to return to Bangladesh and contribute to the
academic and professional fields of Engineering for Natural Risk Management. My goal is
to join the Bangladesh Weather and Climate Service Department as a researcher, leveraging
my advanced knowledge to enhance the department's capabilities. My ultimate aim is to
drive impactful research and policy development in natural risk management studies within
Bangladesh.
In the long term, I also aspire to pursue a PhD in a related field, which will further solidify
my expertise and enable me to make even more significant contributions to academia and
policy-making. I believe that the rigorous education and diverse experiences at the
University of Genoa will provide a robust foundation for my future doctoral studies.
