Ans: Everyone thought that it was a part of the park. Therefore, no one thought of developing it.
Ans: It had been left without care. It was covered with heaps of debris which in turn was being
covered under a thick undergrowth of thorn bushes and grass.
Ans: Amer earned his livelihood by buying and selling brass items going around on his bicycle.
Q#4: How did Maham react when Amer first told her of his plans? Why?
Ans: She did not believe him. Many times she had heard such plans and nothing had come of those.

“Non-finite verbs are not governed by the subject of the sentence. The do not show tense and do

In the sentence above, the verbs “enter” and “look” are not connected to the subject of the
sentences. Although the non-finite verb “looking” suggests the continuous tense, notice that the
