Nama inovasi : Smart Phonics Reading

Masalah/ isu :

● Guru tidak dapat menilai bacaan murid secara individu.


● Penilaian secara individu mengambil masa yang lama dan akan menyebabkan
kawalan kelas yang tidak berkesan.
● Guru sukar untuk mengesan perkembangan murid dalam kemahiran membaca
(phonics).

Objektif:

● Untuk menilai /mengesan pembacaan murid mengikut tahap (phonics)


● Untuk menarik minat murid dengan penggunaan teknologi.
● Untuk memberi pendedahan dan keyakinan murid dalam penilaian kendiri.
● Untuk memudahkan guru membuat pentaksiran PBD melalui penilaian kendiri murid.

Rekabentuk :

● Murid menggunakan aplikasi Google Docs dan kaedah Voice Typing untuk
menyemak bacaan / sebutan perkataan.

Aplikasi :

● Boleh diguna untuk bacaan Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Arab atau mana2 subjek yang
berkaitan penggunaan bacaan (bahasa).

TAJUK: Unit 3 In the past

KEMAHIRAN: 3.1.2 Recognise and sound out with support


beginning, medial and final sounds in a word

3.1.3 Blend phonemes (CVC, CCVC)

OBJEKTIF: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to


pronounce phoneme /r/ and /h/. Pupils will also be able to sound
& blend phonemes to read a word.

AKTIVITI PENGAJARAN & PEMBELAJARAN:

Pre lesson :

Teacher shows a picture of a rat to pupils. Teacher asks to


identify the animal from the picture. Teacher introduces the word
rat. Pupils elicit new phonemes from the word ‘rat’. Teacher
introduces phonemes /r/ and /h/.

Pupils recall blending techniques from prior lessons by playing


Bob Books.

Lesson Delivery:

1.Pupils play videos to introduce phonemes – /r/ and /h/.

2. Teachers review lyrics of the song with pupils and pupils sound
phonemes with gestures.

3. Teacher introduces a blending of phonemes – rat, hat and red


using a sound calendar. Teacher uses PowerPoint to check pupils’
blending.

3. Pupils repeat phonemes in numbered heads, one word of each


number.

4. Pupils repeat blending phonemes by groups, one word of each


group.

5. In pairs, pupils check their sounding and blending using a


checklist.

6. Roll and Read – pupils play games in groups. Groups who


completed the game can claim a reward from the teacher.

Post lesson:

Smart Phonics Reading

Pupils read sound and blend phonemes from word lists using
voice typing. Teacher provides a word checklist. Pupils take turns
and read the words using voice typing to check their
pronunciation. If the correct word appears on the document,
pupils can tick their word checklist. Once all the word checklists
are completed, pupils get a reward from the teacher.
Differentiation by task – Group B

1. Checklist – complete only 2 phonemes, 2 words.
