Descriptive Adjectives
Descriptive adjectives are used to describe or provide more information
about a noun or pronoun.

It provides more information about the noun, making it easier to visualize


or understand what it is.

It may be about;
• Color
Example: The green tree looked very healthy.
The blue sky looked beautiful at the beach.
• Age
Example: I miss my old school.
I bought a new bag.
• Size
Example: Tanauan Institute is a big school.
Taal Volcano is the world’s smallest volcano.
• Quality
Example: The colorful flowers filled the garden with their sweet scent.

• Shape
Example: Sarah painted the round table.

Learning Task 3: Blind Artist.
Mechanics: The class will be divided into two groups. Ask the students to
choose a representative who can draw (artist).
The teacher will show a picture of a person or thing to the members of the
group. The members of the group should describe the picture without saying
what is it. The representative needs to draw it without being able to see the
picture.
If the representative draws it right, the group will have the point. The group
with the most points wins.
Rules for playing
• The team cannot tell the “artist” what the picture is; they can only
give instructions/descriptions.
• The “artist” cannot ask any questions and can only draw based on the
instructions/descriptions given by their team.
• There is a time limit of 2 minutes for the drawing to be completed.
