PROFILE OF NGO – HUMAN TOUCH FOUNDATION
The Human Touch Foundation (HTF) is a non-profit organization that operates India wide,
working in all round development of towards by providing an education, shelter, nutrition, life,
skill, training, medical health, support and love.
Founded in 2021, The main objective of Human Touch Foundation is to address three major
barriers in India:
Inequality of work opportunity due to unfair bias,
Sexual harassment of women in the workplace, and
Discounting of environmental sustainability for short-term economic gain.
The foundation has introduced the POSH Act initiative to promote equality of opportunity and
combat sexual harassment in the workplace, assisting Indian firms with compliance and
providing unbiased third-party consult, inquiries, and resolves.
Environmental sustainability is a key focus, with the foundation having planted over 10,000
plants in various locations like schools, offices, public places, and local jails.
The core committee members include: Sanjay Joshi (Secretary), Abid Naqvi (Creative
Director), Soma Singh, Navneeta Bhattacharya, Kriti Naren (Youth Wing Chair), Madhurendra
Kumar, Neelam Naqvi, and Rajeshwari Mitra.
Our Belief:
Unfair societal barriers seriously limit our society's holistic growth by overlooking an
individual's merit, a healthy society provides equal merit-based opportunities for all
its sections. To take the Indian society closer to this goal, HTF work for the overall
betterment of the underprivileged (poor).
We primarily focus on issues related to equality of opportunity, sexual harassment &
environmental conservation.
WHAT THEY (HTF) DO TO ACHIEVE THEIR OBJECTIVES?
We are one of the front running NGOs in India and we are actively working in many fields like
- Civic Issues, Education & Literacy, Health & Family Welfare, Human Rights, Legal Awareness
& Aid, Nutrition, Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation, Vocational Training, Women's
Development & Empowerment, Youth Affairs, Beti Bachao Beti Padao etc.
1. Awareness about some of the deadliest diseases like Aids, Cancer and HIV, that is creating
a major problem in front of people.
2. Slum and poor children are provided education free of cost at secondary and primary levels
at the schools.
3. We work with committed people and organizations to change in these children's lives. We
fund and support projects health, nutrition, child protection and education.
4. Medical camps are run free of cost.
5. Its aim is to promote and conduct activities of health care, mass Literacy, employment
generation training activities, cultural and of charitable nature among the poor and the
neglected people residing in undeveloped colonies and slums.
Human Touch Foundation is a society based on equity, justice, honesty, social sensitivity and
a culture of service in which all are self- reliant.
WHAT THEY ACHIEVE THROUGH HELP OF UNDERPRIVILEGED?
Over all children impacted 6,61,752 through Human Touch Foundation, from which:
80% Children in human touch foundation project areas, between the ages of 6-18
years, in school.
86% children in human touch foundation project areas, under the age of 5 years,
prevented from malnutrition.
99% of adolescent girls, in human touch foundation project areas, between 11-18
years, protected from child marriage.
94% children, in human touch foundation project areas, between the ages of 6-18
years, protected from child labour.
INTRODUCTION OF THE ACTIVITY
DAY 1: DISTRIBUTED CLOTHES TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN IN NEARBY SLUM AREAS.
On the first day of the community service program, I actively participated in a clothes
distribution drive organized by Human Touch Foundation. The objective of this activity was
to provide essential clothing items to underprivileged children residing in nearby slum areas.
Activity (what I have done?):
The day started with my group friends (other volunteers) at the NGO's premises,
where we sorted and arranged the donated clothes into separate bags based on size
and gender.
Following this, the team loaded the clothing items onto vehicles and headed towards
the designated slum areas that is Tugalpur, Greater Noida.
Upon reaching the Tugalpur, me and my fellow volunteers began distributing the
clothes to the children, ensuring that each child received suitable dress according to
their size and needs.
The atmosphere was one of joy and gratitude as the children excitedly accepted the
clothing items, expressing their thankfulness through smiles and heartfelt
thankyou's.
Through this activity, I not only contributed to fulfilling the basic needs of underprivileged
children but also witnessed firsthand the impact of simple acts of kindness on the lives of
those less fortunate (poor).
DAY 2: ORGANIZED A RALLY TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT WATER CONSERVATION IN THE
COMMUNITY.
The second day of the community service program I take a proactive role in organizing a rally
focused on raising awareness about water conservation within the community. Recognizing
the importance of preserving water resources and promoting sustainable usage practices
then, I collaborated with fellow volunteers to plan and execute this impactful event.
Activity (what I have done?):
The day commenced with my group friends (other volunteers) at the NGO and
organizing team strategizing the rally route, selecting key locations within the
community to maximize outreach and engagement. Posters and banners for water
conservation were prepared, conveying important messages about the significance of
water conservation and the need for collective action.
As the rally commenced, me and fellow volunteers led the march through the streets,
chanting slogans and distributing information to bystanders. I actively engaged with
community members, initiating conversations about the importance of water
conservation and offering practical tips on reducing water wastage in daily activities.
The rally culminated in a public gathering where the we delivered information
highlighting the critical need for water conservation efforts and urging community
members to adopt responsible water usage practices.
Through active participation in organizing the rally, the I developed leadership skills, effective
communication, and a commitment to encouraging for environmental sustainability within
the community. This experience served as a valuable opportunity for me to contribute towards
addressing environmental issues and fostering positive change at local areas of Alpha 2,
Greater Noida.
DAY 3: CONDUCTED A SURVEY ON VOTING BEHAVIOR AND REASONS FOR NON-
PARTICIPATION IN ELECTIONS.
On Day 3, I, along with fellow volunteers, conducted a comprehensive survey on voting
behaviour within the community. The primary objective of this activity was to understand the
factors influencing voter turnout and identify reasons for non-participation in elections.
Activity (what I have done?):
On this day, I, in collaboration with fellow volunteers and under the guidance of Kriti
Naren, Human Touch Foundation, conducted a comprehensive survey to assess the
voting behaviour of community members and identify the underlying reasons for non-
participation in electoral processes.
The survey methodology involved structured questionnaires, designed to find out
information on individuals' voting history, awareness of electoral processes,
perceptions of political efficiency, and barriers to voting, etc, help to ask their
participation in the survey.
The survey findings provided valuable insights into the root causes of voter apathy and
served as a foundation for subsequent advocacy efforts aimed at promoting voter
education and civic engagement.
Through structured questionnaires and insightful conversations with community members, I
actively participated in collecting valuable data regarding voting patterns and attitudes
towards civic engagement. I successfully gathered a wealth of information pertaining to voting
behaviour and the prevalent challenges hindering electoral participation. The survey process
was conducted with professionalism and sensitivity, respecting the opinions and privacy of
the participants.
DAY 4: ADVOCATED FOR THE PROTECTION AND EDUCATION OF THE GIRL CHILD THROUGH
A RALLY WITH THE THEME 'BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO'.
On day 4 marked a significant advocacy effort focused on promoting the rights and well-being
of the girl child. Under the theme 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' (Save the daughter, Educate the
daughter), I along with enthusiastic volunteers, organized with the aimed to raise awareness
about the importance of safeguarding the rights and promoting the education of the girl child,
thereby combatting gender discrimination and fostering gender equality within the
community.
Activity (what I have done?):
The rally commenced with impactful speeches highlighting the challenges faced by
girls in accessing education, healthcare, and equal opportunities in Alpha 2, Greater
Noida. Through compelling messages and slogans, me and fellow participants
encouraged for gender equality and emphasized the critical role of education in
empowering girls to fulfil their potential.
Through the collective efforts of I and fellow advocates, the rally succeeded in raising
awareness, sparking meaningful conversations, and inspiring positive action towards
the protection and empowerment of the girl child within the community.
Adorned with banners, placards, and slogans advocating for gender equality and
female empowerment, I along with enthusiastic volunteers and community members,
embarked a brave march through the streets, capturing the attention and garnering
the support of onlookers.
Accompanied by vibrant banners and posters, the rally navigated through the community,
attracting the attention of residents and garnering support for the cause. I actively engaged
with the audience, distributing informative pamphlets and fostering discussions on strategies
to promote gender equity and combat discrimination.
DAY 5: RALLY TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TOBACCO
CONSUMPTION IN ALPHA1, GREATER NOIDA.
On Day 5 of the community service program, I actively participated in organizing and
conducting a rally aimed at raising awareness about the detrimental effects of tobacco
consumption. The rally took place in a local village, where community members, including
children, adults, and elders, gathered to participate in this significant event.
Activity (what I have done?):
I played a pivotal role in planning and executing the rally, collaborating closely with
fellow volunteers and members of the Human Touch Foundation. Prior to the event, I
engaged in thorough research to understand the harmful impacts of tobacco on
individual health and the broader community.
During the rally, I, along with other volunteers, distributed informational pamphlets
highlighting the dangers of tobacco use, including various diseases such as cancer,
respiratory disorders, and cardiovascular complications.
Additionally, posters and banners carrying impactful messages were displayed to
attract the attention of the audience, through effective communication and
interaction, I successfully conveyed the message of adopting healthy habits and
making informed choices to safeguard personal well-being and that of the community.
The rally served as a platform to instigate meaningful conversations about the issue of tobacco
addiction and its effects, encouraging community members to consider the long-term
consequences of their actions. By actively participating, I established a strong commitment to
promoting public health and fostering a culture of well-being.
DAY 6: ENGAGEMENT WITH VILLAGERS IN SAKIPUR TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF THE GIRL
CHILD.
Continuing the dedication to community service, on Day 6, I along with fellow volunteers,
started a mission to promote the welfare and empowerment of the girl child. The focal point
of this activity was Sakipur, a village where gender disparities and socio-economic challenges
often hinder the progress and development of girls.
Activity (what I have done?):
I actively engaged with villagers in Sakipur, initiating meaningful conversations and
discussions surrounding the importance of prioritizing the education, health, and
rights of girls. Recognizing the significance and address prevailing societal norms and
stereotypes that hinder the growth and empowerment of girls.
Through interactive sessions and awareness workshops, I facilitated dialogue on key
issues such as access to education, gender equality, menstrual hygiene, and
reproductive health. By leveraging storytelling, group activities, and visual aids, I
effectively conveyed messages of empowerment, resilience, and solidarity, inspiring
girls to dream big and pursue their aspirations with confidence.
Additionally, I actively and contributed to building a supportive ecosystem encouraging
to the holistic development and well-being of girls in the community.
Overall, the engagement with villagers in Sakipur exemplified my firm commitment to
promoting gender equality and social justice. By advocating for the rights and empowerment
of the girl child, I demonstrated exemplary leadership and compassion, leaving a lasting
impact on the lives of individuals and the community as a whole.
DAY 7: RALLY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION BY PLANTING TREES, REDUCING
PLASTIC USAGE, AND SAVING WATER.
On this day, I along with fellow volunteers, organized a rally to raise awareness and promote
environmental conservation practices within the community. The rally focused on
encouraging people to take proactive measures such as planting trees, reducing plastic usage,
and conserving water resources.
Activity (what I have done?):
The rally commenced with a briefing session where the objectives and significance of
environmental conservation were highlighted. Me and my group of volunteers were
educated about the adverse effects of deforestation, plastic pollution, and water
scarcity on the environment and human well-being.
The rally proceeded through the community, with volunteers carrying banners and
posters to engage the public. I actively interacted with community members,
emphasizing the importance of individual actions in mitigating environmental
degradation.
At Alpha 2, Nawada, we encouraged residents to participate in tree planting initiatives.
Additionally, practical tips and techniques for reducing plastic usage and conserving
water were shared, aiming to create sustainable habits among community members.
The rally concluded with a collective pledge ceremony, where me and my group committed to
adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and spreading awareness within their social
circles. Overall, the event served as a operation for promoting environmental management
and fostering a sense of collective responsibility towards preserving nature.
DAY 8: VOTER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN (ENCOURAGED LOCAL VILLAGERS TO EXERCISE THEIR
RIGHT TO VOTE AND CHOOSE THEIR IDEAL CANDIDATES).
On this day, I actively engaged in a voter awareness campaign targeted towards local villagers.
The objective was to encourage and empower community members to exercise their
democratic right to vote and make informed choices during elections.
Activity (what I have done?):
The campaign commenced with a series of interactive sessions conducted in Alpha 2,
Nawada. I played a pivotal role in spreading information about the electoral process,
voter registration procedures, and the significance of participating in elections.
Through engaging discussions and informative presentations, I highlighted the
importance of voting as a fundamental right and civic duty essential for shaping the
future of the community and the nation. Importance was placed on the role of
informed voting in holding elected representatives accountable and driving positive
socio-political change.
Furthermore, I actively encouraged villagers to critically evaluate the policies and
promises of political candidates and vote for individuals who align with their aspects
and interests. Practical demonstrations of the voting process were also provided to
clarify any misconceptions and to facilitate voter confidence.
The campaign finished in a pledge ceremony where participants committed to exercising their
right to vote responsibly and encouraging others to do the same. Through this initiative, I
contributed towards strengthening democratic values and promoting active citizen
participation in the electoral process.
DAY 9: PRESENTING MORAL STORIES TO CHILDREN, INCLUDING 'CAP SELLER & MONKEY'
AND 'THIRSTY CROW', TO CONVEY VALUABLE LESSONS.
On Day 9 of the community service program, I undertook the task of presenting moral stories
to children from underprivileged backgrounds. The objective of this activity was to convey
valuable life lessons and moral values to the young minds, thereby contributing to their
complete development.
Activity (what I have done?):
I selected two stories, namely 'Cap seller & monkey' and 'Thirsty crow,' renowned for
their moral teachings and engaging narratives. Through expressive storytelling, I grab
the children's attention and effectively conveyed the underlying moral messages of
perseverance (retry to achieve goal), resourcefulness (creativity and knowledge), and
empathy (understanding others).
The storytelling session provided a platform for interactive learning, encouraging
children to reflect on the moral dilemmas faced by the characters and draw
equivalents to their own lives. Through open discussions and reflections, the children
were able to internalize the moral lessons imparted by the stories, thereby fostering
character development and ethical awareness.
Overall, the activity proved to be both educational and enjoyable for the children, introducing
values of kindness, cooperation, and resilience. It served as a meaningful intervention in
nurturing positive attitudes and behaviours among the young beneficiaries, thereby
contributing to their overall well-being and personal growth.
DAY 10: PLANTATION DRIVE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION BY PLANTING TREES
AND PLANTS IN THE NGO AREA TO CONTRIBUTE TO A HEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT.
On the final day of the community service program, I led a plantation drive in collaboration
with Human Touch Foundation to contribute to environmental conservation efforts. The
primary objective of this activity was to promote sustainability and create a greener, healthier
environment within the NGO area.
Activity (what I have done?):
I along with volunteers and community members, actively participated in planting a
variety of trees and plants selected for their ecological benefits and aesthetic demand.
Prior to the plantation drive, I conducted research to identify suitable plant species
that succeed in the local climate and soil conditions, ensuring the long-term
sustainability of the initiative.
Through hands-on involvement in digging, planting, and watering, I demonstrated a
strong commitment to environmental management and community engagement. The
plantation campaign not only beautified the surroundings but also served as a tangible
reminder of the collective responsibility to protect and preserve the natural
environment.
Furthermore, the activity provided an opportunity for educational outreach, with I share
information about the importance of trees in mitigating climate change, improving air quality,
and supporting biodiversity. By raising awareness and fostering a sense of environmental
consciousness, the plantation drive inspired positive action and encouraged community
members to take proactive steps towards sustainable living.

• Learning: Recognizing the significance of environmental conservation and the

awareness about water scarcity and conservation efforts.
Day 3: Conducted a survey on voting behaviour
• Learning: Understanding the value of public engagement and the reasons
behind voter participation or non-participation, gaining insights into
democratic processes and citizen responsibilities.
Day 4: Encouraged for the protection and education of the girl child
• Learning: Recognizing the importance of gender equality and education for
girls, encouraging for social justice and empowerment of disregarded groups,
particularly girls.

MISSION AND VISION:
Education: - At Human Touch Foundation we aim to work on the root level of all the
problems. we believe that if a child gets educated at the primary level, he/she can make an
impact to the lives of their families and friends. It is not just the child but whole community
that gets better.
The problem of poverty arises because of lack of awareness on opportunities due to the
illiteracy, we aim to end that illiteracy.
Environment: For the environment we believe that with the ongoing situation we won't be
able to make this world a sustainable one for the future generations. We believe that if we
can all come together and try to reverse the process in order to save the environment it can
make a change.
CONCLUSION
