Syntax: =VLOOKUP(lookup_value, lookup_table, col_index_num, lookup_type)*
lookup_value is the item you want to lookup. Can be text, number, a cell reference or expressio
lookup_table is where you're looking up the lookup_value. Can be a cell range, table or express
col_index_num is the column number of the lookup_table containing the data that you want retu
lookup_type is whether you want an exact match between the lookup_value and the lookup_tab
*I've renamed some of the syntax arguments above so they're more self explanatory. The syntax
=VLOOKUP(lookup_value, table_array, col_index_num, range_lookup)
