Project Title
Improving Road Safety at Danborough College in Glenview 1 along Patrenda Intersection

Stage 1: Problem Identification


There were no road safety features near the school. Vehicles often sped through the
Patrenda intersection, putting students and pedestrians at risk. The area lacked speed
bumps, visible crossings, and proper signage.

Stage 2: Research and Investigation


We interviewed students, staff, and local residents. Observations showed unsafe road use
and speeding. We studied similar cases where safety features reduced accidents. Findings
confirmed an urgent need for action.

Stage 3: Design Development


We developed practical solutions:
- Raised zebra crossings
- Speed bumps
- School zone signs with flashing lights
- Sidewalks and pedestrian barriers
- Crossing guard during school hours

Stage 4: Planning and Development


We created a site layout, selected materials, and estimated a $2,150 budget. A 6-week
timeline was proposed for phased implementation. Resources included signs, paint, speed
