1. What is Windows 8?  It was released on 2012
 Designed to bridge the gap between traditional Windows Operating
System and the revolutionary Windows Phone.
 It has unique interface, combining the features of a desktop OS with
those of a mobile platform, making it incredibly versatile for users.
 User interface based on a tile-base system, where the user can pin
applications, websites and settings to their start screen (easy to
access the most used programs, files and settings, as well as provide
live updates from the various tiles.)
 The Interface can be tailored to the user’s tastes, with plenty of
customization options.
2. Built-in Applications  New Internet Explorer 10 browser.
 Microsoft Office 2013
 A suite of Microsoft-developed applications such as People, Mail,
Calendar and Xbox Music.
All these applications are designed to work with the new interface,
making it easier to use and navigate.

13. How to Install Windows 8 step-  Windows 8 is an operating system like other operating system like

 You have Windows 8 drivers available.
 If you reinstall Windows 8 on an existing computer, you need a
backup copy of your files and settings.
17. Windows 8 Installation process 1) Power On the Computer.
2) Insert bootable Windows 8 CD, DVD or USB in the USB port
3) Restart or Power ON and on after 30 Seconds the computer.
4) Press F12 as the computer restarts again and get the boot option
menu.
5) Select CD/ DVD and press Enter. (If you are installing Windows 8
from USB then you will see the USB Option.)
Note: Read the message under the image before taking any action.
6) If all the above process will be OK then the computer will start the
setup.
7) Choose your language from the Language setting options.
8) On the next Click on Install Now.
9) On the next page, license terms window checks the “I accept the
license terms” checkbox.
10)On the next choose from Upgrade or Custom Advanced. I
recommended choosing a Custom Advanced to start a new
installation.
11)On the next window choose on which drive you want to install the
Windows 8.
(Setup will show your hard disk information click on the Drive option
(advanced) then click on the Next.
12)Click on New to set the new partition.
13)Type new partition and then Apply or click on Apply without typing any
number to leave the partition as before.
14)Click on the OK Button.

16)On the next step choose according to your requirements from the
options.
17)After completing all the above press Now, the setup will start to
finalize the setup process.
After several minutes the above process will complete.
18)After completing the above process computer will restart or can
manually restart it by clicking on Restart Now (But I recommended
letting the computer restart by itself) and update registry settings.
19)On restart, Do not press any key here.
20)Personalize Settings
In this step, you can change the Windows 8 color scheme.
21)On the next, type your name, setup will automatically create the
computer name from your typed name.
22)Click on the (Use Express Settings)
23)If you have a Microsoft account then you can enter it OR click on the
Sing-in without a Microsoft Account .
24)Click on local account
25)Move your computer mouse into any corner of your computer screen
26)On the next page, type the product key but if you don’t have a key,
click on Next.
27)On the next, this window will appear with the following options; -
a. Use Recommended Settings.
b. Install important updates only.
c. Ask me later.
If you have typed the product key then click on the Use
Recommended Settings otherwise click the Ask ke later.
28)Set your date and time
Now computer will restart and finally, complete the setup.
