EXTERIOR PLACARDS & MARKINGS — MAINTENANCE PRACTICES


1. Exterior Placards
A. Fuselage Station -4 - Fuselage Station 193C
See Figure 201 for location and description.
• HOT DO NOT TOUCH, located below temperature probe right hand side only (Aircraft 1490 and
subsequent)
• NO HAND GRIP, located left and right sides above angle of attack probes
• HOT DO NOT TOUCH, located left and right sides around angle of attack probes
• STATIC PORT, located above static ports
• DO NOT PLUG OR DEFORM HOLE AREA MUST BE SMOOTH AND CLEAN, located below
static ports
• Aircraft model and serial number, located aft of main entry door (Aircraft 1000 thru Aircraft 1404
• PUSH, located on main entrance door
• CAUTION PULL TO DETENT POSITION, located on main entrance door
• NO HAND GRIP, located above pitot static probe on left side only
• HOT DO NOT TOUCH, located below pitot static probe on left side only
A1. Fuselage Station 219.5 - Fuselage Station 442
See Figure 202 for location and description.
• CAUTION VENT-DO NOT BLOCK, located above oxygen vent and pressure fill sense port
• ESCAPE WINDOW RELEASE PUSH, located left and right sides beneath emergency windows
and above emergency window release handle access door
• OPEN DOOR PULL HANDLE UP PUSH WINDOW IN, located left and right sides beneath
emergency windows and forward of emergency window release handle access door
A2. Fuselage Station 539.75 - Fuselage Station 864
See Figure 203 for location and description.
• CAUTION DELICATE INSTRUMENT NO HAND HOLD DO NOT BUMP, located on Power
Lever Angle (PLA) transducer bracket on left and right engine
• ENGINE OIL FILL, located on oil fill access door on left and right engine
• BATTERY ACCESS, located on left batteries access door
• Aircraft registration identification, located on left and right sides of vertical stabilizer
• OUTSIDE BATTERY SW, located below batteries access door
• Baggage door instructions (an arrow), located on baggage door just below door handle
• Aircraft model and serial number, located by tail compartment door (Aircraft 1405 and
subsequent)
A3. Upper Aft Fuselage and Pylon, Fuselage Station 580 - Fuselage Station 650.75

• PRECHECK FOR PRESSURE FUELING, located inside on right wing refueling access door
