Dear diary,

Today, in the market I met Ridhima, a school friend after five years. It felt so good to see her. She has changed
so much! She has gained a lot of height, and I could not recognize her at first.

It was only when I heard her voice that I found it familiar and called her.

Ridhima and I went by the same bus and studied together for ten years. Now she is pursuing legal studies and
is in the hostel. She was on her vacation and was in the mall when we bumped into each other.

I am still so excited because all my childhood memories were refreshed on seeing her. It was nice meeting her.

That’s all for now.

Bye.

SAMPLE 2: You are Akshaya / Akash. Reflect on a day spent without using any electronic devices. Write
your diary in 100-150 words.

9 p.m.
Dear Diary,

Today was an unusual but refreshing experience. I decided to spend the whole day without using any
electronic devices—no phone, no TV, no computer. At first, it felt strange. I didn’t know what to do with my
time. But soon, I realized how much I was missing out on the simple joys of life.

I spent the morning reading a book I had been meaning to finish for weeks. It felt so peaceful and relaxing,
unlike the usual rush I feel while scrolling through my phone. Afterward, I went for a long walk with my family
in the park. The fresh air, birds chirping, and chatting with my family without distractions made me realize
how much I enjoy these moments.

In the afternoon, I spent time drawing and playing board games with my younger sister. It was so much fun to
be fully present without any interruptions. By the end of the day, I felt calm and connected, both to myself
and my family.

I think I might make this a regular habit, just to disconnect and enjoy the world around me.

Goodnight!
Akshaya/Akash
