✅ Basic Sentence Structure in English

Most English sentences follow this pattern:

👉 Subject + Verb + Object

1. Subject – the person or thing doing the action


🟢 Example: I, She, The dog

2. Verb – the action or state


🟢 Example: eat, run, is, play

3. Object – the thing receiving the action (not always needed)


🟢 Example: apple, music, ball

Subject + Verb She sleeps. ‫هي تنام‬.

Subject + Verb + Object I eat an apple. ‫أنا آكل تفاحة‬.

Subject + Verb + Adverb He runs fast. ‫هو يجري بسرعة‬.

Subject + Verb + Adjective The sky is blue. ‫السماء زرقاء‬.

Subject + Verb + Prepositional The book is on the ‫الكتاب على الطاولة‬.

✅ 1. Subject (‫)الفاعل‬
Who or what does the action in the sentence.

🟢 It can be a person, animal, or thing.

Examples:
● I eat an apple. → (‫)أنا آكل تفاحة‬

● She runs fast. → (‫)هي تجري بسرعة‬

● The dog barks. → (‫)الكلب ينبح‬

✅ 2. Verb (‫)الفعل‬
The action or state of being in the sentence.

🟢 What is happening?

Examples:
● I eat. → (‫)آكل‬

● She runs. → (‫)تجري‬

● He is happy. → (‫)هو سعيد‬

● The cat sleeps. → (‫)تنام‬

✅ 3. Object (‫)المفعول به‬


The person or thing that receives the action.

🟢 It answers the question "what?" or "whom?"

Examples:
● I eat an apple. → (‫)أنا آكل تفاحة‬

● He reads a book. → (‫)هو يقرأ كتاًبا‬

● She helps her friend. → (‫)هي تساعد صديقتها‬

I (subject) + eat (verb) + an apple (object).
