PERFORMANCE TASK: INFOGRAPHICS

Make an infographic related to your social advocacy. Using any software

application.

1. Objectivity- 15 pts
 Define Purpose: Before starting, identify the main message or purpose of the infographic. Is it to
inform, compare, show trends, or explain a process?
 Target Audience: Tailor your content to your intended audience. The tone, language, and
complexity should be appropriate for the readers.

2. Strong Visual Hierarchy-15 pts

 Prioritize Information: Organize the information in a way that guides the viewer’s eye from the
most important to the least important elements. Use size, color, and placement to highlight key facts.
 Use of Headings & Subheadings: Clear headings and subheadings will help break down the
content, making it easier to digest.
 Spacing & Alignment: Ensure proper spacing between elements to avoid clutter. Proper alignment
enhances readability and flow.

3. Simple and Consistent Design-10 pts

 Consistent Colors: Use a limited color palette to maintain cohesion. Colors should complement the
message (e.g., calm blues for serious topics, bright colors for fun content).
 Easy-to-read Fonts: Choose legible fonts and avoid overcrowding with multiple font styles. Stick to
two or three fonts—one for headings and one for body text.
 Icons & Graphics: Use simple icons, charts, or illustrations to represent complex ideas. Avoid
overloading the design with too many visuals.

4. Data Visualization- 20 pts

 Graphs & Charts: Use bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs, and other visual elements to simplify
complex data. Ensure they are easy to interpret at a glance.
 Simplify Numbers: Large numbers can be overwhelming. Use icons, percentages, or visuals to
make them easier to comprehend.
 Maps & Timelines: If relevant, use maps or timelines to show geographic or chronological data.

5. Submission and Uploading- 10 pts

 Submit and upload your infographic to the link provided by your teacher on or before November 13,
2024
