Lysander Act 1 Analysis
ACT I Prologue Throughout act I, the setting and era of the play is established, the characters in
the first act are introduced and the conflict that arises and contributes to the climax is discovered.
The first act takes place in Athens when the Duke, Theseus, prepares a festival to commemorate
his marriage to Hippolyta. Soon after, Egeus, a well respected nobleman enters the stage with his
daughter Hermia. Hermia is caught in a love triangle: Hermia loves Lysander, but her father wants
her to marry Demetrius, who is in love with her. Helena, Hermia s friend, loves Demetrius but he
does not love her, and the four end up running into the woods with or after their apparent love
interests. This act is vital, as it sets up the play and gives the audience an insight into what is
happening, which contributes to the peak of the play. ACT II Conflict/rising action During act II,
the base problem proposed in act I is complicated further when other elements throughout the act
shape the main characters along their journey. In this case, this concerns Puck trying to solve the
humans love triangle but accidently causing Lysander to fall in love with Helena instead of Hermia.
He attempts to fix this mistake but falls through once again causing Demetrius to fall in love with
Helena, too. This thickens the plot as now Helena is attracting love from both men and Hermia is
not wanted. ACT III Rising action/climax Typically, in Shakespearian plays, the climax is located in

My Life Of The Dixie Chicks
On August 17, 2016, as I sat in row GG seat 4, I realized that my childhood had come to a close.
Just seven days shy of starting a new chapter in my life, college, I was standing in Bridgestone
Arena in the presence of the Dixie Chicks. Since I was a little girl, I have been listening to their
music through out every part of my life. I can remember as a three year old, blonde headed little
girl, my daddy would put one of their CDs in the radio and dance around the living room with me
standing on his feet. On Sunday afternoons, when I was around the age of six, my Mi mi, Uncle
David, and I would pile into their jeep and go for a ride down some back roads with their music
playing in the background. Or as a thirteen year old girl, knowing every single word to Travelin
Solider. Now as an eighteen year old, as I listened to the song being played, I thought to myself,
This is it. I am about to enter a brand new chapter in my life.
Rewind to six months earlier, it was Valentine s Day and my parents were getting ready to give
my sister and I our gifts. We were handed a small, narrow wrapped box that contained tickets to the
DCX MMXVI World Tour. My parents had bought tickets for them, my sister, and I. This tour was
said to be the final tour that the Dixie Chicks would perform and we were going to the concert in
Nashville. Since I had a love for the group from birth, I was ecstatic! It was just a waiting game
after we received the tickets because the concert was six months
The Sculpture Of Nataraj The King Of Dance
This essay will focus on the sculpture of Nataraja, meaning The King of Dance . The sculpture
represents one of the three major deities of Hindu religion called Lord Shiva. It centres around the
idea of Lord Shiva being the creator and destroyer of the world. The reason I chose this sculpture is
because, I want to gain more knowledge of the spiritual and religious messages connected to the
sculpture as well as understand its importance to Hinduism.
In my opinion, the sculpture is very beautiful and detailed, it shows Shiva with four arms and two
legs in a dance posture known as Nataraja. The name comes from one of the oldest languages in
India known as Sanskrit. The term Nata convey to dance and Raja to king, meaning king of
dance. The height of the sculpture is 48cm by 36cm, and every single features of his cosmic dance
posture signifies the creation and destruction of the world. The figure of Lord Shiva stands within
a circle of flames and it is seen as the endless cycle of birth and rebirth, within this Shiva dances to
his cosmic dance of bliss.
The two stretched out upper hands of Shiva are positioned to reveal the sense of balance between
the powers of creation and destruction. In his right upper hand Shiva holds a drum shaped like an
hour glass, it provides the sound of rhythm to which Shiva dances. But it is also represented as the
drum which made the first sound and summoned things into existence. In contrast his upper left hand
holds flame of fire, which

INTRODUCTION OF 7 ELEVEN
7 Eleven was founded by J.C. Thompson in the year 1927. Previously it was known as the
Southland Ice Company in Dallas, Texas. It was started as an ice vendor and later the company
began to offer milk, eggs and bread on Sundays and evenings when the grocery stores are closed.
The new business idea produced by them satisfied the customers and also increased the sales. This
idea triggered them to establish their business to the modern convenience retail concept.
The company s first convenience outlets were known as Tote m stores and in the year 1946, it
became 7 Eleven to indicate the store s new extended hours which is from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. and
also operating seven days a week. The company s corporate name was changed from The Southland
Corporation to 7 Eleven Inc. in 1999. Now, including with its global licensees, franchisees and
partners in 16 countries, 7 Eleven operates over 50,000 stores worldwide.
In Malaysia, the first 7 Eleven store was opened in October 1984 at Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala

How Corporate Governance Is The Rules And Systems
Corporate governance is the rules and systems, based on which a company is run. These systems are
put in place to ensure that a company always runs in the best interest of its stakeholders such as
shareholders, management and customers. These rules prevent managers in an organization from
participating in a self interested manner that could be damaging to the company and its stakeholders.
During the time DSH was issuing its prospectus, the company would need a diversified board of
directors to prevent corporate governance issues. The board should consist of members who have
industry relevant experience. Dick Smith s board of directors should have a balance of executive
and non executive members to ensure there is balance of power across ... Show more content on

The chairman of the board provides leadership to the firm and ensures that stakeholder s interest are
prioritized. The chairman interacts with both directors and management and have a great deal of
influence over the company. DSH must have a chairman who is an independent member of the
board of directors. There are many reasons why a chairman should be separate from the CEO. The
chairman of the board is responsible for overseeing management and the CEO is the primary
manager of the company. There is no reason why one person should do both jobs as it will result in
conflict of interest. For example, during the nominating process for the board of directors, if the
CEO is chairman, he or she might choose members who have personal loyalty to the CEO resulting
in the CEO exerting influence on board outcomes.
The CEO should be a member of the board. One of advantages to having the CEO as the member
of the board is a CEO has the ability to make better decisions as they have a broader perspective on
the business in terms of operations and strategy. Besides that, having the CEO on the board gives
equal voice between management and stakeholders. The board of directors and CEO hold different
responsibilities but both roles are equally important as it balances stakeholder s and management s
best interest. Having the CEO on the board shows that the board has confidence in the
Illegal Immigrants Should Be Legal
We should be able to refuse immigrants. There are a lot of illegal s that are taking jobs that actual
Americans need in the current economic conditions, plus they cause our taxes to go up because
we have to pay for their health insurance and they might need welfare so they get all the money
taken from our pay so they don t have to work. They should have to speak English too, if I went to
their country, no one would be taking care of me and making sure that I can find the bathroom, or
feeding my kids with their money (Aquino 2016).
Many people believe that immigrants do not provide us with any beneficial effects to our country.
This is not the case at all. At one point all of the current Americans that reside in the United States
today had ancestors that traveled from another country or countries to the United States of America,
thus making us all decedents of immigrants. Immigration helps boost up the economy, not hurt it,
for the most part. Illegal immigrants take jobs that have lower pay and horrible hours. They also
tend not to file for tax returns or claim their Social Security money (Aquino 2016). Illegal
immigrants do not claim social security or file for taxes in order to prevent themselves from being
found out and deported back to their home countries.
Therefore, the quote stated above is ignorant, we should accept immigrants and allow them into our
country. The United States of America would not be what it is today without immigration. Yes,
immigrants should
Shrek Argumentative Essay
Shrek is the hero of my story. At the beginning of the story he is located at his home. He lives
there alone and he doesn t want any company, at all. Alot of other animals come to his home
invading his privacy and that is where he will receive a call to adventure. The call to adventure was
going to see Lord Farquaad. Lord Farquaad is the person that the animals were trying to escape from,
and that s why they went to Shreks home.
He accepts the call to adventure immediately, because he wanted to get all the other animals to
leave. That s is also what motivated him to accept the call. Donkey helps him on his journey,
because he knew where Lord Farquaad was located and shrek didn t. Shrek didn t want Donkey to
show him the way. Shrek didn t like Donkey because he couldn t be quiet. None of the other
animals wanted to tell him where Lord Farquaad was because they were scared.
The main thing that is significant about shrek is that he is a Ogre. Lord Farquaad is the person that

He overheard Donkey and Fiona talking and became very angry. He hid his feelings, and started
being mean to Fiona. Shrek and Fiona both believe that the relation is doomed, because they are
from two different worlds. That is the point where everyone becomes hopeless, except Donkey.
Donkey is the one who saves them. Ogre called Lord Farquaad the next morning, because he
wanted for them to take the princess so he could go back to his normal life.
Donkey begins to battle with himself mentally and with a close friend which is Fiona. He wanted
for Shrek and Fiona, but he didn t want to betray Fiona by telling Shrek her secret. He didn t want
to tell Shrek that they actually weren t talking about her. She was talking about herself that way and
he overheard everything that was said. Princess Fiona and Lord Farquaad planned to get married
later on that day, because she was mad at Shrek and wanted to upset
