Coca Cola Financial Analysis Essay
Financial Analysis Project Final Paper
Jennifer M. Harding
Cardinal Stritch University
MBA 521 August 28th, 2014
Purpose of Analysis
All managers need to understand where value comes from in their firm. The purpose of this
analysis is to identify the financial strategy and performance of this particular publicly traded
company. The process of understanding the risk and profitability of a company by analyzing
reported financial info, especially annual and quarterly reports are vital to identifying the company
s overall financial performance. I wanted to analyze Coca Cola because the company has so much
history and is one of the most recognizable brands in the world. I have always enjoyed researching
food and beverage companies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Major Operations
The Coca Cola system is not a single entity from a legal or managerial perspective, and the company
does not own or control all of their bottling partners. While many view the company as simply Coca
Cola, their system operates through multiple local channels. The Company manufactures and sells
concentrates, beverage bases and syrups to bottling operations, owns the brands and is responsible
for consumer brand marketing initiatives. Coca Cola s bottling partners manufacture, package,
merchandise and distribute the final branded beverages to Coca Cola customers and vending
partners, who then sell their products to consumers (Wikipedia, 2).
All bottling partners work closely with customers (grocery stores, restaurants, street vendors,
convenience stores, movie theaters and amusement parks, etc.) to execute localized strategies
developed in partnership with Coca Cola. Customers then sell their products to consumers at a rate
of more than 1.9 billion servings a day. In January 2006, company owned bottling operations were
brought together to form the Bottling Investments operating group, now the second largest bottling
partner in the Coca Cola system in terms of unit case volume.
Distribution
Coca Cola s portfolio features 17 billion dollar brands including Diet Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Coca Cola
Zero, Vitaminwater, Powerade, Minute Maid, Simply, Georgia and Del

number of themes and symbols in his novel and one of the strongest themes of the novel is Sin and
Atonement . Amir, the protagonist of the novel lives with guilt after he doesn t stand up for Hassan,

The Foucault s Idea Of Organizing Students
Michel Foucault (birth name Paul Michel Foucault) was born on October 15, 1926 in Politiers,
France. Both his father and grandfather were working in the medical field and his mother was a
major part of his education. The Foucault Society wrote that Foucault emerged as a brilliant
young thinker while studying philosophy with the distinguished Maurice Merleau Ponty (The
Foucault Society). After getting his diploma in 1952 he held a teaching position at the
universities of Uppsala, Warsaw, and Hamburg for teaching French. Throughout his life he
publish many different books about multiple topics. One book is Discipline and Punish: The
Birth of the Prison which was published in 1975. After reading this work I can say that I agree
with Foucault s idea of organizing students because it could help the students who need it and
will let the teachers have an easier time making a lesson plan. It is also a good idea because it will
solve the problem of a disorganized classroom. Focault gives his own ideas about having discipline,
which he describes as, analyse space, break up and rearrange activities, must also be understood as
machinery for adding up and capitalizing time (Foucault 376). Foucault, with this work, help him
become part of the movement to have a class system in education. In his book, Foucault argues that
there needs to be structure and organization in the classroom. That there needs to be a way to
organize students by their academic performances. Foucault
Violence In Stan Lee s Dr. Strange
Silver age comics were steeped in the conservative nature of the 50s, even the edgier Marvel
comics fell into this trap and Dr. Strange is no exception. Stan Lee s Dr. Strange, though he wears
a cape, is no golden age Superman. Instead, he is a conservative man who answers to a greater
vow to aid all humanity regardless of the cost to himself, who just happens to get along with local
law enforcement. There are four main things in the Dr. Strange comics that set them apart from the
golden age comics, the first is the conservative nature of the conflict seen, even in the greatest
battles ever seen no one is truly hurt, the second is the lack of corporate or harden criminals who
need to be taught a lesson, instead the criminals introduced in... Show more content on

Strange finds himself faced with also differ from the golden age criminals. Instead of committing
violent crimes or being a part of organized crime that put others in danger they are petty criminals
such a thieves, or guilt ridden men. Even as these men commit the crimes seen in the comics they
are wholesome criminals. For example, in issue 110 When Dr. Strange is faced with a man
haunted by nightmares and guilt about robbing a man, Strange agreed to help the man stop his
nightmares as he was not yet aware of their cause. As Dr. Strange attempted to help the man he
was trapped in a trance. The man then attempted to kill Strange to prevent him from telling the
authorities but, Strange easily subdued the man once he awoke from his trance. Faced with his
guilt the man clamed it s over! You re alive, that means I ve lost. (Dr. Strange 110, 5) The man
concluded that his escape was improbable, therefore deciding it was best to surrender and claim
now I ll confess. (Dr. Strange 110, 5) In a later issue Strange is faced with Two thieves who steal a
gem and get transported to the Purple dimension and become slaves. Not only is the issue of
slavery addressed as being fundamentally wrong, as Dr. Strange makes it so Aggamon can only
regain his strength by letting people go, but the criminals once saved realize the error of their ways
and turn themselves into the police (Dr. Strange 119, 8). They said they wanted to serve time, pay
their debts to
The Legalization Of Marijuana Effects
Legalization of Marijuana Effects Growing up, everybody is informed that, Drugs are terrible for
you, time and time again. Now as a child you don t generally comprehend the thinking behind it,
however you listen to your power figure regardless. I was told this my whole life and even to this
very day. However, as I got more prepared I comprehended that people would regardless utilize

struggle with the law and danger their life just to use drugs? The prescription that I am talking
about is Mary jane, and shockingly it is surrounding us. Pot is even suggested in today s media
Mainstream media sources that people acknowledge, like music, films, and TV shows up, don t
essentially attempt to give the pharmaceutical a chance to alright alone for their framework.
Presently being a young adult and having my own one of a kind contribution with the medicine and
knowing its effects on others, I inquire as to why it s not legal. In what manner would it be able to
be that this medicine has wound up unlawful wherever all through the world? The reasonable
discourse to legitimize Mary jane in the United Statesof America has been fought about steady
since the nearness of the drug and its possessions. Weed has been confirmed to give an especially
beneficial outcome on the American society for a few reasons. Some of these reasons are for
America s economy, prosperity and even wrongdoing.
Research Paper On Peta
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or known as PETA, have had the same goal from
today all the way back into the 1980s. Peta has wanted to prove to the common people and the
people of the law that Animals are not ours to eat. Animals are not ours to wear. Animals are not our
to experiment on. Animals are not ours to use for entertainment. Animals are not ours to abuse in
anyway.
In the early twenty first century animals were used for drug testing and experimental surgeries as
required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). For instance, in the article Animal
Experimentation by Marc R. Fellenz, tells us about how many of the companies have now made
¨purpose bred¨ which are animals made and born strictly to be tested on. Companies ... Show more

PETA went on and passed a their first lawsuit in 1982 to becoming a parent or guardian for the
abused animals that were used in the experiments. Because of PETAs first campaign a company
called SEMA stopped confining the chimpanzees into small chambers and later moved on to not
testing on them at all. These are just a sample of the achievements that PETA has passed but they
are bound to make more as time goes on, PETA has given some people a way to express their
passion and love for animals on a different level. PETA has not yet passed their goal but is making
huge strides in history and is making their voices and animas be
The Economy Of The Norse Peoples
The economy of the Norse peoples settled in Iceland evolved primarily around husbandry of
cattle, pigs, and goats. Livestock provided an array of foodstuffs and wool, which was used to
make cloth, while agriculture was geared more towards pastoral care and dairy farming than the
cultivation of cereal grains due to the cold climates and poor soil. Their grains consisted mainly of
oats and barley, which could be grown during the short growing season. Chieftains and wealthy
individuals also relied upon seafaring trade for valued luxury goods from continental Europe.
Economicswere deeply intertwined with social practices of the time. Kin groups functioned as
economic units. Members of the community often relied upon one another. The Haensa Thorir s
Saga is an example of close knit socioeconomic community struggling to preserve the health of their
pastorally based economy upon the backdrop of a poor harvest as a result of famine.
The Nordic people established extensive trade networks that transverse Europe and lined the
Scandinavian coast. Near the beginning of the story, Ørn, a Norwegian merchant, docked his
vessel in the Borgarfjord harbor with the intent to sell his goods. The local chieftain, Odd, visited
the merchants and declared that he always set the prices on goods that were sold there, to which
Ørn replied We ll deal with our goods as we see fit, whatever you say, because this cargo belongs to
us and not to you. Ørn challenges the political power of the
The Role Of A Good Father
Robert Duvall an American actor and filmmaker once wisely stated, Not every successful man is a
good father. But every good father is a successful man. This quote reveals just how fulfilling and
important a true father s job can be. A father has many responsibilities, yet his family should be a
priority in his life every day. No matter what else is going on around them, a father must bring his
familytogether and show them Christ s love. The role of a father encompasses many different
duties. Yet, a man begins learning fundamental qualities early on in life that will help him raise a
family later on. In order to become an excellent father, a man must first master the skills of leading,
providing, and protecting.
Mastering leadership skills is essential in order for a man to gain the respect of his family while
managing his household. When a father leads, he earns the respect of his wife and children,
which in turn allows him to oversee the affairs of the family. For example, a father makes a habit
of reading scripture to his family, and praying for others in need. He is mentoring his wife and
children through this activity, and showing them how a father should guide all the members of his
family, helping them grow spiritually. Also, a family decides to go to dinner, but no one can agree
on where to dine. Who ultimately makes this decision? The father must take control of the situation
and select a place to eat, avoiding hours of useless bickering about who should make
