Gender Stereotypes Of Male Characters In Video Games
Male characters in gaming count according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki
/Category:Male_characters_in_video_games are 225.
Female gaming characters according to http://geekfeminism.wikia.com/wiki
/List_of_Women_Characters_in_Video_Games are 176. Now before you come after me saying
see that s proof of sexism lets just realize that ALOT of the male characters in these games have
little to no personality. Or they are simply huge bulky guys made to simply kill things that are it.
Example, Doom guy from the games first introduced December 10, 1993 introduced doom guy. A
mostly emotionless space marine fighting demons, never speaks except to a grunt now and then.
Male characters are most of the time are fit men. Female characters most of the time are fit
women. What confuses me if no one ells is why people are so pissed about this, example, if a male
gaming character is shirtless, no one gives a shit, if a female gaming character, is say in a bikini, its
sexualized . Point and case, some feminists attacked the game hitman for sexualizing woman and
being able to kill the female strippers, but fail to take into account your a hitman, and normally you
kill them if they are either in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Take GTA V, a big criticism is, as Anita sarkeesian said you can pick up hookers, kill them, or you
can either run them over. Now my argument to this is, so the fuck what, first of all why is it bad
you can pick up a hooker? Shocker, hookers exist, and people pick them up. Secondly while it s
not good, this happens in the real world, and GTA V is an open world, players have full control.
No one is forcing you to kill anyone, in the sandbox anyway. In the campaign, you shoot at men and
kill them all the time, shoot them, stab them, run them over, ect. You get into gun fights with cops
regularly, most of them men, not because of sexism, but they are simulating real life. Several
thousands of men are killed; nearly half as many women
Human Resources Career Essay
The Human resources career field is very alluring to me. I believe that this career choice would be
very rewarding to me because I would be able to support others within the company in many ways
including emotionally. This career choice would allow me to be a great asset to the firm because I
would be able to improve the firm by managing both existing and new talent. The Human resources
career choice would be a great fit to me because I would be able to practice my introvert and
extrovert sides. This is because within this career opportunity, one helps the firm with assignments
such as payroll, yet it would allow me to practice my extrovert side when reaching out and assisting
the firm s most valuable asset, their employees. The human resources... Show more content on

Working conditions should be accepted by the employee if such conditions allow the employee to
feel comfortable in such environment. Relationships are defined as connections that one creates
with individuals inside and outside of the working environment. Individuals create relationships
in order to better know another individual to which they can relate to and enjoy being around
with. Support means that one feels empowered by the individuals and resources inside and
outside of the professional world. Support is important because it allows individuals to feel
comfortable and appreciated. I find a working environment where I am respected and supported
both professionally and emotionally very desirable. The human resources career path would allow
me to intensify my relationships within the workplace, which is something that would allow me
to network well. The career that I have selected would offer the working conditions that would
make me feel secure. I enjoy quiet environments that every so often would require me to attend or
hold social events, and this career path would offer the best of both worlds. Within the firm, it is
important to feel the support of your employer and colleagues. I believe that this career path would
offer the resources needed in order for me to become successful and voice my opinions and requests
to others. This career path would fulfill my top three values, therefore allowing me to grow and

Action Camera Research Paper
What features to look out for when choosing an action camera could be a jungle for a novice user
but after many years of experience trying to catch that special moment from my own extreme
sports I have found a few things that will make a difference when you go out to find an action
camera. What I have learned from my experience could be of great value to you if you do not want
to miss out on that perfect moment which I have done so many times in the past because of lack of
knowledge on what features my action camerashould have.

First you need to know in what context you need to use your recordings and for what purpose
because if you need to broadcast this you might want to go for a large, expensive and pro camera
but on the other hand you might as well pick a small, handy and lightweight action camera because
now a days you can get really good quality recordings with this which might be enough if it is only
for home use or the Internet.

My first choice is to find a handy action camera that is small and lightweight because when doing
extreme sports I can not be tied down to a large camera I have to be able to move which is not as
easy with a larger camera. The camera also needs a minimum of protection so it will not break with
just a small hit or drop to the ground. The protection you will find in many variations just ... Show

night
Machiavelli s Influence On Religion
Religion was arguably the most influential factor that contributed to political, social, cultural and
intellectual changes during the Middle Ages. The Catholic Church became a powerhouse since the
Holy Roman Empire made it it s state church. It s power grew since then, but during the Renaissance,
individuals began to doubt dispute the Church s authority and sources. Movements such as
Renaissance Humanism, Scientific revolution, and the Protestant reformation, influenced individuals
to publish written works. By supporting intellectuals in their studies and committing some
controversial actions, the Catholic Churchinadvertently created an environment where individuals
could criticize and question the church s authority.
One way the Catholic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the Catholic Church s foundation is confessing to a priest one s sins in order for God to
pardon the sins. The Church had been known for their questionable methods of pardoning sins,
such as Pope Urban II s speech in 1095 stating how individuals would be pardoned for their sins if
they took part in the Crusades. During the 16th century, reformers began to complain for the
selling of indulgences, which were pardoners selling pardons in order for individuals to not go to
purgatory. At times the indulgences were not sold for the buyer, but for a relative of a buyer in
order for the relative s time in purgatory to be minimized. One example is Pope Leo X and how he
commissioned Johann Tetzel to sell indulgences. The Church not only committed corrupted acts, but
also, according to Martin Luther, demanded an excessive amount of services from their
Tp53 Gene Essay
The gene most associated with HCC is the TP53 gene, which is a tumor suppressor gene universal
among many cancers. The p53 protein, when turned off, can mistakenly cause cancer since they are
normally turned on (Rhine 4). When normal, the TP53 gene assures that cells do not grow beyond
where the should, meaning they have anchorage dependence and density dependent inhibition.
When damaged, abnormal cells and the formation of HCC can occur since the P53 protein is
involved in cell cycle functions and apoptosis, because it does not stop the cells from accumulating
mutations over time if its function is degraded (¨ Do We Know [...]?¨, Debuire and Lemoine). This
tumor suppressor gene follows Mendelian rules, meaning they are recessive and must... Show more

Job evaluation helps to ensure that pay is internally aligned and perceived to be fair by
employees. Step 3: Pay Policy Identification Pay policy identification is the process of
determining whether the organization wants to lead, lag or meet the market in compensation.
The pay policy or strategy will likely influence employee attraction and retention. Pay policies can
vary across job families (i.e., groups of similar jobs) and job levels if the top management feels
that different strategies can be effective in different areas of the organization. Step 4: Pay Survey
Analysis Pay survey analysis is the process of analyzing compensation data gathered from other
employers in a survey of the relevant labor market. Gathering external pay data (e.g., base pay,
bonuses, stock options and benefits) is essential to keep the organization s compensation externally
competitive within its industry. Employee attraction and retention can be improved by maintaining
externally aligned pay structures. Step 5: Pay Structure Creation Pay structure creation is the final
step, in which the internal structure (Step 2) is merged with the external market pay rates (Step 4)
in a simple regression to develop a market pay line. Depending on whether the organization wants
to lead, lag or meet the market, the market pay line can be adjusted up or down. To complete the
pay structure, pay grades and pay ranges are developed. In this case, upper level undergraduate or
Hunting Vs Hunting Essay
Misconceptions Vs. Reality of Hunting
Many people have misconstrued ideas about what it means to be a hunter. Some have this idea in
their heads that hunters are just out to kill and have no respect for the environment the animals live
in or the animals themselves. When in reality hunters care more about the environment than most
people because of the very fact that they care about the animals they hunt. Hunting is one of the best
way to bring a family together like no other activity. The misconception that hunting is a just an
individualized activity couldn t be more wrong. When hunting with your family, you experience an
adventure with your loved ones that brings you all closer together like no other way. The truths of
what it means to be a hunter are hunters care about the animals they hunt and the environment they
hunt in more than the average person. Hunting is a great way to bring the family together unlike any
other activity. Also, hunting brings people closer to nature in way unlike any other. And it s this
connection with nature that keeps hunters humbled by the environment they are in and the animals
that live in it.
Hunters know more about the animals they hunt and the environment they live in better than anyone
else. Before a hunter ventures off to pursue the animal they are hunting, weeks of pre season
scouting are required in order to pattern the animal to get in close enough to make a kill. The
misconception that hunters have to just drive around and watch for an animal then go kill it is
completely absurd. Hunters spending days even weeks looking for and observing the animals they
are attempting to harvest, and coming up with a game plan on how they are going to harvest them.
Biologists, the Game and Fish Departments, and many other wildlife agency s depend on hunters
reports for accurate data in measuring the health of big game herds. When a hunter receives their
tag in the mail, it usually will come with a blood testing kit. The Game and Fish started issuing
these kits a few years ago in an attempt to track where the brucellosis disease was spreading to.
Now, the Game and Fish could have just tranquilized a few hundred elk from each area surrounding
the state of Wyoming over the years. But

The regulations were the initial steps of Coach Carter s disciplinary actions. Although moving
further down the season, the community witnessed the success through his rules and finally

movie that by the end colleges believed that these student athletes would positively contribute and
complement their campuses. These downtrodden players became not only physically, but
intellectually strong to acquire the skill to articulate their ideas in very intricate and profound
quotes. For example while at study hall Timo Cruz, a shooting guard announced this quote, Our
deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond
measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve
the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won t feel insecure
around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It s not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. (Coach Carter)
Originally Cruz was deeply confused and became aware that through his
To Pin A Butterfly Analysis
For my album review, I chose To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar. It was released in 2015 as the
follow up to his critically acclaimed debut studio album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City. The album
exhibits a more socially conscious style of rap than many other contemporary rappers. The album
deals with many heavy subject matters such as institutionalized racism, police brutality, colorism,
and commercialism. The album is heavily influenced by jazz and funk. It samples various artists
throughout the track list. King Kunta samples James Brown s The Payback and Ahmad s We Want
the Funk. Furthermore, artists involved in the Los Angeles jazz scene played instruments for the
various songs on the album. These artists include Thundercat and... Show more content on

Later, this poem is extrapolated on in the album s final track, Mortal Man. It turns out the poem
heard throughout the album is actually the intro to an even longer poem. The excerpt deals with
his rise to fame and the additional problems it brought. During the making of the album, he
evidently felt that he had been using his newfound fame for the wrong purposes. By mid poem,
he was in a hotel room contemplating suicide. At the end of the poem he rejects both suicide and
the appeal of Lucy, a reference to Lucifer. Lucy is referenced throughout the album and the way he
permeates through our culture through greed, lust, and pride. Certain songs on the album deal
with certain parts of the poem. For Sale in particular deals with the appeal of Lucy. The track u
chronicles the point in which he was in a hotel room contemplating suicide. Momma references
when Kendrick returns home to Compton. The final track, Mortal Man , ties the messages and
themes of the album together. After the initial song fades out, he reads the full poem that is read
throughout the album in excerpts. At the end he addresses it to Tupac. The song samples an
interview from when he was still alive in order to make it seem like Kendrick and Tupac are having
a conversation. At the end of the conversation Kendrick reads yet another poem entitled To Pimp a
Butterfly. It reads: The caterpillar is a prisoner to the streets that conceived
Stereotypes Of Student Athletes
Okay I ll sign this paper, but this doesn t mean you re excused and you can t make up the
participation points you ll miss. My first thought, then why are you signing the paper? I m a
student athlete here at Tulane University. My sport is Track and Field and I am a hurdler. As a
student athlete, one of my responsibilities is to inform professors of when I ll be out of class due to
a meet and to have them sign a form saying it s okay to miss their class. On quite a few of these
occasions I ve heard the first quote above. These professors believe that I am the stereotypical
athlete. There are these ongoing stereotypes that student athletes are dumb, lazy, and privileged. It s
understandable that people believe these stereotypes, news magazines and reports are always talking
about how athletes are coddled and cheat their way to success. Though it is nowhere near true for the
majority of student athletes, a select few situations encourage this negative categorization of us, thus
putting student athletes under even more pressure to perform. Student athletes are constantly
misjudged and the assumptions are affecting us. For example, in his article Checking Athlete s
Privilege, Michael Kasdan writes, Giving star athletes preferential treatment doesn t begin in college.
It starts much younger. The coddling, the entourages, the brushing aside of academic requirements
(OK we ll say it: cheating) ...But we sure do master it by the time those athletes get through the
