Causes Of Good And Evil In Confessions
For years, people have continuously tried to figure out the causes of good and evil without
settling on just one theory. And it makes sense as to why people would want to find the root of all
good and evil, given that throughout mankind, good and evil has been prominent with figures
representing both sides. From Hitler to Mother Teresa, we see two very distinct sides of the
spectrum. There s Hitler who is responsible for the death of millions of Jewish people. Led by
racism, he was a ruthless killer and was also was the main cause for WWII. However, on the other
side, there s Mother Teresa, a nun and missionary who spent her whole life to helping the
disadvantaged. Plato, Augustine, and The Manicheans were just three of many philosophers who
came up with ideas regarding good and evil. In Phaedrus, Plato talks about the idea of a dual natured
soulbut Augustine, in Confessions, challenges that idea; Plato also describes the qualities of evil
which Augustine transforms to fit in with his own beliefs in Christianity. The Manicheans talk about
the journey from good to evil being led by external forces and Augustine challenges that idea, as he
takes on a more internal viewpoint. Star WarsIV: A New Hope, is a movie which has parts of each of
the three ideas, however the one I found to be more prominent in this particular episode was the
Platonian philosophy, represented by the character Han Solo.
When it comes to the idea of the dual natured soul, Plato believes that humans have
Local And National Provision For Football Essay example
Local And National Provision For Football The game of Football was first organised in England
in the 1800s and is now the most popular sport around the world. The World Cup is held every
four years and is the most watched sports event today. Around 70 thousand boys play football, for
either a school or club team, at each age level between the age ranges of Under 11 to Under 16,
and over 500 thousand play between the ages of nine to 16. Only 0.6% of those five hundred
thousand young footballers register in football academies, and a further 1.2% in centres of
excellence. I am one of many who play football and I am going to find out what the associations are

Female Offenders And Male Offenders
Statistics show that the number of female offenders in the legal system has been increasing steadily.
The number of female offenders entering the American justice system is growing at a rate faster than
males. Statistics from the United States in 2010 show the female offender population to be
increasing by 2.7% each year, compared to the male population at a rate of 1.8% each year, with
similar statistics being seen in other Western countries (West Sabol, 2010). The continued increase
has made understanding female offenders and their catalysts for committing crimemore imperative.
Despite the general consensus that the number of females involved in crime is continuing to rise,
males are still the dominant gender committing crimes, especially for violent offences. This may be
why there is a continued lack of research on female offenders using a gender specific approach that
accounts for gender differences. Historically, female offenders have been primarily studied using a
gender neutral model comprising mainly male offenders. Although there is support that a gender
neutral model can effectively apply to both male and female offenders (van der Knaap et al. 2012),
there has been an ongoing debate on whether the pathways and processes that lead to female
offending can be successfully explained and ultimately applied to interventions and preventions by
using theories originally created to explain male crime (Steffensmeier Allan, 1996).

How Youths Are Deemed As The Perpetrators Of Today s...
When the words youth and young people come up there are different connotations that come along
with it, some people may feel very positive towards the youth of today. However, some people feel
the complete opposite and have negative views altogether. In some cases, people believe they have
Ephebiphobia which is a fear of youngpeople, with 1.5 million Britons considering to move houses
last year and about 1.7 million people not going out after dark to avoid youngsters (Lewis, 2016).
Researchers are fearing that the public are alienating the youthand A rise in social Paedophobia will
simply make matters worse Nick Pierce the IPPR (Institute for Public Policy Research). In this
essay I will be discussing how youths are deemed as the perpetrators in today s society and how
this theory came about. Furthermore, discussing how young people are also vulnerable to being
victims as well, but are also under protected. Adding to that I will discuss the UK s policing
structure such as stop and search and taking young people into custody and whether it has been
successful for the past years in England and Wales or not.
So what defines youth or a young person? criminologists for years have attempted to find a
definition for youth. However, criminologist John Muncie has summed it up well: An ill defined and
variable period of the life span between infancy and adulthood. (Davies, Francis, and Greer, 2007).
Although this is a definition people still don t quite understand what
Hell You Talmbout Analysis
Hell You Talmbout , a new protest song from Janelle Monáe s Wondaland collective, is striking in
its simplicity. Monáe (along with fellow Wondaland member Jidenna) made headlines yesterday
for marching in Philadelphia against police brutality, and this song sounds like an extension of
that march. Drums dominate the scene; they are at once tribal but organized, like a powerfully
primal marching band. The lyrics are simple as well, but there s nothing more to say Walter Scott
say his name! Jerame Reid say his name! Philip White say his name! Three men who died at the
hands of police, all in the last year; all three are widely considered to have been unfairly killed.
These are not the only three, either. Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Sean Bell, Freddie Gray, Aiyana
Jones, Sandra Bland, Kimani Grey, John Crawford, Michael Brown, Miriam Carey, Sharonda
Singleton, Emmett Till, Tommy Yancy, Jordan Baker, and Amadou Diallo make up the rest of the
verses. Their deaths range from days gone by, where racism... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These names sound like they re shouted into a megaphone, not from a recording booth; the audio

candidate for the Black Lives Matter movement to sing. Wondaland s members all contribute a
verse; Jidenna, Monáe, Deep Cotton, St. Beauty, Roman GianArthur, and George 2.0 all of them
give their martyrs names a deserved emotional gravity. Hell You Talmbout is all you can ask for in a
protest song it has emotional depth, but still goes to an irresistible inner beat. Even more
importantly, it cuts the crap and focuses on all that matters in arguably our time s most important

The variable age is the independent variable and is of a ratio level of measurement (Loiselle et al.,
2011). The measure of central tendency to describe age in table 1.2 are the mean of 57.62 which is
the average age, the median which is the middle score within the distribution when all scores are
organized of 58.5 and the mode of 58 which is the most frequently occurring age (Loiselle et al.,

The kurtosis has a large negative value which is representative of a flatter curve also know as
playkurtic (Salkind, 2013).
The average deviation of scores from the sample mean is 16.26. In order to calculate if there any
extreme ages, any ages that occurs below 2SD and above +2SD would be considered extreme and
occurs 5 out of 100 cases (Loiselle et al., 2011). Scores that are between 2SD and + 2SD occurs 95
out of 100 cases (Loiselle et al., 2011). At 2SD the value is 25.10 and at +2SD the score is 90.14, in
table 1.2 the minimum age is 22 and the maximum age is 91, therefore, there is an extreme score
which is an age of 22 which is below 2SD (Loiselle et al., 2011). Thus, the median would be the
preferred measures of central tendency to describe the sample as the median is insensitive to
extreme scores (Loiselle et al., 2011).

Role Of Nurse Practitioners On The Health Industry
Introduction
Definition of Role
Over the last few years, the nation health system has gone through some significant changes. Factors
such as rising costs of healthcare, population increases, aging in the population as well as divergence
in the health division has played a large role in shaping the health industry. Nursing is one of the
professions has gone through a paradigm change in its organization and capabilities, structure and
role stipulations (AHRQ, 2015). Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are registered nurses who receive
advanced education and clinical training, in a wide variety of areas that range from preventive and
acute health care services to individuals in all age groups. Nurse practitioner is usually involved in
the direct practice of nursing, care, and medicine. At the same time, majority of nurse practitioners
practice their skills in several different areas but most are in an ambulatory setting as compared to
other nursing roles that are in an acute care setting (AHRQ, 2015).
A nurse practitioner squarely falls under the clinical department of both medicine and nursing. This
is because the primary role of a nurse practitioner is to provide direct care to the patient as well as
delegated medical services. The oversight is done indirectly and directly by a physician.
Additionally, a nurse practitioner diagnoses, contains and manages acute and episodic illnesses. At
the same time, they also act as advocates of health promotion and disease prevention. Other
Code Talkers And Code Talkers
Throughout history, different people are treated with isolation and discrimination. This is shown in
our culture through songs, movies, television shows, and other forms of art in every corner of the
world. For example, the movie and song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer parallels the oppression
of minorities, specifically with the Code Talkers, in the novel, Code Talkers, by Chester Nez, during
World War II. Since before the beginning of United Stateshistory, the people of the United States
have oppressed and repressed the Native Americans that have lived on this land long before them.
The lyric, All of the other reindeer/ used to laugh and call him names/ they never let poor Rudolph
/ join in any reindeer games parallels the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And for the Code Talkers, years and years later, when they could finally discuss the code, Senator
Jeff Bingaman . . . proposed the Honoring the Navajo Code Talkers Act . . . the act called for
recognition for the code talkers (Nez 256). Both saved the day and both oppressor groups were
largely grateful for their sacrifices and for their differences that made it possible. Also, their
differences from the rest of the world were not only unique, but were hard or impossible to
obtain. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer s talent was obviously that he, had a very shiny nose
(Autry 6). This is difficult to obtain because he was born with it, it was not earned by him and it
seems that this phenomenon has never happened before in the North Pole reindeer world.
Likewise, pronunciation of even one Navajo word is nearly impossible for someone not used to
hearing the sounds (Nez 91). This talent can be obtained, but is seemingly impossible to be
learned later in life, as the language was so complex it could be learned only is one began in
infancy (Nez 91). That being said, this talent was in high demand because of the very small
percentage of people who could speak Navajo in the United States and the US Government could
not simply take shortcuts in learning the language because they would need to grow a colony of
Navajo speaking children over the span of about eighteen years. Which, was time no one had.
Regardless of how the other reindeer or the United
Adolf Hitler s Oppression Of The Jewish People
Throughout history, humans have sought out power and to establish supremacy above all of its
rivals. Many wish to attain power, but few ever succeed. Those who do are left with a choice, to
rule with love and compassion from his people, or to rule with an iron fist and suppress any who
stand in the way to ultimate power. Although many rulers and generals have tried to obtain a
positive and supporting view in the eyes of their people, there have also undoubtedly have been
malevolent generals who were willing to suppress, not just a few people, but hundreds, thousands,
even millions to reach power. There is no more famous suppressor in our time than the monstrous
Nazi commander and general Adolf Hitler, who is responsible for the targeting, oppression, and
genocide of the Jewish people. He is arguably one of the worst men to ever walk this Earth, and is
by far the most... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, these qualities were really complementary. Although he brought everything around him
into a state of flux, he remained in the eye of the whirlwind, unchanged (Kubizek 57) His mania
drove him into a position of power that very few would have expected was possible. He
constantly challenged everything in the world around him and made it into the way he envisioned
it, which turned out to be a strong approach that would propel him to become a monumentally
powerful oppressor of any who dared to stand in his way. He gained support through his almost
impeccable public speaking skills and his determination, driven by his mania and strong set belief in
the wrongdoing of the Jews whom he considered to be subhuman swine and tried so hard to oppress.
