The Waves Zone And The Mid Tide Zone
As the Cellana denticulata is distributed in the upper lower intertidal zone and the mid tide zone it
must be able to withstand the upper lower intertidal zone and the mid tide zone as the rocky shore
experiences tidal fluctuations (abiotic factor) that occurs in a regular pattern in which the beach has
submerged areas and desiccated areas (the niche of the Cellana denticulata) this is an abiotic factor
that affects their survival. Tidal fluctuations are when the tide(sea) comes in and submerges areas of
the rocky shore while others are exposed. The tide ranges in vertical differences along the rocky
shore; from high tide, mid tide to low tide this is called zonation. These are the tides that fluctuate in
a regular pattern along the rocky shore and this is mainly due to the gravitation pull of the moon.
However the sun also affects the tides but has less gravitational force as the sun is further away from
earth. The gravitational pull of the moon is the main cause for tidal fluctuations as the moon has a
stronger gravitational pull as it is closer to the earth than the sun, hence the main cause for tidal
fluctuations as the gravitational pull from the moon exerted onto earth is greater than the earth.
Because the earth is in constant motion of rotation the earth and the moon become closer in distance
as the earth is not perfectly round and has uneven surfaces. These uneven surfaces or areas of the
earth are closer in distance to the moon and therefore the gravitational pull
The History Of Modern Corporate Collection
In the 1988, one year after Black Monday when Don Jones Industrial Average fell nearly 23
percent in a single day, Art Auction the international art market journal published its annual
edition with the troubling headline: Is Corporate Collecting Dead? . Almost 20 years later, the
financial crisis made hundreds of bankers lose their jobs, and the image of people moving out
their offices can still be recalled even today, and the same question aroused again. The same
questions may appear again and again in the future, but as an essential part of world of art
collecting, corporate collecting won t die in the eyes of most people in the field.

The brief history of modern corporate collection

It is hard to chase back to the origin of the art patronage, since it is nearly as old as art itself, but
the shift from a model dating from the Renaissance, in which leaders of industry used the fruits of
their labor to purchase or commission superlative art either for their private residences or for the
benefit of the public (or of God and the Church), is surprisingly recent. So it s essential to isolate
modern corporate collecting from other great but older tradition such as hanging decorative pieces
and portraits of founders and other core members to embellish a boardroom or showcase the firm s
position or reputation.
Modern corporate collecting began in nineteenth century in the United States as a movement to
preserve the records, memorabilia, and products of a company.
The Roles Of The Indus River Valley And Egyptian...
Rivers are the key aspect of civilization. The early civilizations are usually found by rivers. The
reason is these rivers give early civilizations certain gifts, or the essentials for survival. The rivers
give people silt. Silt is a very wet clay the makes soil fertile for farming, no matter your location.
In turn, the plans grown in silt give the civilizations food and items to trade. Another, gift is fresh
water. You cannot drink salt water, or water your plants with salt water or they would die. The fresh
water allows civilizations to use irrigation systems to move the flooding of the rivers to the plants to
water them. With the fresh water, they can even clean themselves with it. Along with silt, the river
provides food by giving fish... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The geography was a huge aspect of the civilizations way of life. The Indus River Valley was a very
peaceful civilization. There was little to no weapons found in the civilization. They faced so much
time with no attacks they had no army. The reason the Indus River Valley could remain untouched
because of its natural barrier. The Hindu Kush Mountains surrounded the civilization to the north
and the rest was surrounded water. The rivers provided transportation out of the civilization and
acted as a trade route for the people. Despite their communication with the outside world, the
civilization remained peaceful because no civilization was going to climb mountains to conquer
it. One civilization did cross the mountains. They were called the Aryans. The Aryans combined
with the civilization presently there and created one huge civilization. The disadvantage of the
location of the Indus River Valley Civilization was monsoons. Monsoons were strong seasonal
winds that gave the civilization two seasons: the wet and the dry. The wet season was during the
summer and it blows moist air eastward causing floods. The dry season was during the winter
months and it blows dry air westward causing droughts. Although there was a disadvantage of
living in the Indus River Valley Civilization, it was still a very peaceful civilization to live in. Out
of these civilizations, I would rather live in the Indus River Valley. One reason is the Indus River

Finding Emergency Housing After A Fight Essay
From trying to find a place to get her mother in law s hair permed to having to find emergency
housing after a fight erupted between two seniors (sisters, no less) over dentures to spending
Christmas in the emergency room instead of the living room, Gail s firsthand experience shows how
sticky it can get when you are in charge of your parents.
The book is divided into 60 vignettes followed by questions, including Surviving the Annual Family
Reunion, To Tube or Not to Tube, That Is the Question, and When I Will Means I Won t.
Gail, who also speaks and holds workshops on aging, says the questions get people thinking about
their own situations.
One problem is most people think they are going to just up and die. That s like 10 percent of
people now, she says. This means that most of us will end up needing care provided by others at
some point, like it or not. It s the best of all worlds when you are willing to broach it before the
crisis, Gail says. What it brings up if you wait is more fear. Death is undergirding everything to talk
about.
Like Amy, Gail says a meeting is best. The first thing is to bring family together after a letter or a
phone call to tell them it s time to talk about end of life issues. She also suggests using a
facilitator, like a geriatric care manager, nurse or social worker who will cover the basics because,
sometimes, parents will refuse to talk.
And siblings may not be on the same page. During these emotional times, Having ground
Stock Reflection
What i learned throughout the past weeks about my stocks is I learned that I have to spend my
money more wisely throughout the whole entire week that we had this project. I think the most
important lesson I learned about these last 8 weeks is that I should have bought and sell more
stocks I think if I would have done that I would have gained more moneythrough the long run it
would have made it more interesting because if I would have bought and sold more. I would have
learned the lesson not to do it again in case I lost a huge profit. What I also learned about this
project is that I might go into the stock marketone day and see how I do to see if gain actual money
or if I lose money because it s actually a good thing to invest in because you could potentially gain
profit from it rather than just saving money and you could also double your money from saving and
the stockmarket.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think what I would also do is I would take some different advice from people who actually used
the stock market to make some good money because if I learn from them I might actually miss
some mistakes when I actually invest into the stock market. I feel like people have a really good
insight on what to buy into the stock market because they have doing this for countless years and
the know how to potentially make a profit from the stock market and when to be wise and save
there money and not make a mistake a waste there money on just one stock. I would actually look
at different graphs about the product to see if I made a good decision or
The Three Types Of David Emile Durkheim s Theory Of Suicide
In this essay I will explain about Durkheim theory of suicide, which were categorize in three
types.Firstly, I will include an introductory history of Emile Durkheim about his life and work
throughout his life.Secondly,an elaboration on the theory of suicide followed the three types of
suicide which are altruistic, egoistic and anomic (which I will be focus more in this essay) . Lastly,
a relation of society in Brunei with one of Durkheim s theory of suicide.

Firstly, I will include an introductory history of Emile Durkheim about his life and work throughout
his life. David Emile Durkheim was born on April 15, 1858 in Epinal, capital town of the
department of Vosges, in Lorraine. He is one of an outstanding student at the Collège d Epinal,

Despite poor health already induced by overwork, he devoted himself to the cause of national
defense, organizing a committee for the publication of studies and documents on the war, to be sent
to neutral countries in the effort to undermine German propaganda. Several patriotic pamphlets
were written by Durkheim himself, and sent to his fellow countrymen in the effort to maintain the
national pride. But for the most part, Durkheim was unaffected by the war hysteria, and, though
always a patriot, was never a nationalist. Indeed, by 1916, he was concerned lest a German
military defeat be turned to the advantage of the conservative, clerical party in France; and on at
least two occasions, as a native of Alsace Lorraine and as a Jew with a German name, Durkheim
suffered aspersions of disloyalty motivated by the most vulgar kind of
Role Of The Nurse During Safeguarding Individuals That Are...
In this assignment my aim is to discuss and evaluate the role of the nurse in safeguarding
individuals that are at risk of undergoing female genital mutilation (FGM). My presentation group
decided on the subject matter as it was felt that it was being reported in the national press and
therefore was a current issue. There also has been recent updates, recommendations and legislation.
The essay will identify a specific policy, procedure or support mechanism that is in place to help
safeguard individuals that are at risk of FGM and apply it to practice. After this I will reflect upon
what I have learnt from the module safeguarding vulnerable groups. I will then use this reflection to
help influence my future safeguarding practice as a nurse.

The world health organization defines FGM as all procedures that involve partial or total removal of
the external female genitalia, or other injury to the female genital organs for non medical reasons .
(World Health Organisation 2016) FGM is a tradition deeply rooted and practiced in Africa, Asia
and the middle east by specific ethnic groups. It is for the most part performed on children and as
such is recognised as a violation of human rights and the rights of a child. (Creighton, 2015)

FGM is a widespread issue with unicef database statistics estimating that at least 200 million females
living in 30 different countries have undergone FGM, The statistics show that the countries with the
highest prevalence of FGM are Egypt, Sudan,
The Caribbean And C.l. R. James
The Caribbean and C.L.R. James
I was sitting on a beach in Jamaica reading a collection of C.L.R. James s occasional writings on
cricket (Grimshaw 1986). The place had once belonged to Errol Flynn. My daughter was playing
on the edge of the sea. James had been Neville Cardus s deputy as the Manchester Guardian s
cricket correspondent in the 1930s. I found myself reading about my father s heroes in the
Lancashire cricket team of that period as if it was today s sports news. I had been devouring
everything I could by James since I came to Jamaica to help establish a new graduate school for
social science research. I knew that he had lived in Lancashire when he left Trinidad for Britain. It
occurred to me that we had lived in the same places, the Caribbean, Britain, America, Africa in a
different sequence, at different times and with very different trajectories. Now, watching my
daughter play on that exotic beach, with my father s stories from childhood coming alive again,
the gap between this old black man and myself was collapsed into a single moment by the
compelling immediacy of James s prose. Generation and racial differences were erased in an
epiphany of timeless connection. I felt compelled to meet him and so I wrote the first and only fan
letter of my life.

Dear Mr James,
Like you I have lived in Britain, the USA, Africa and now the Caribbean. I started out from
Lancashire. In the last few months, I have read a good fraction of your writings, as well as a
Tomorrow When The War Began
The movie Tomorrow When The War Began is directed by Stuart Beattie. This movie is about a
group of adolescents whose their country has been invaded and destroyed. Ellie Linton is the main
character in this movie, she is the leader of the team. She also had a mess relationship with Lee. The
challenge that Ellie has to face is that when the soldiers coming to catch them, she blows up the
soldiers with the lawnmower.

In the movie, the scene when Ellie used Kevin s clothes to wrap around the stick, lit the stick;
through to the lawnmower. In this scene, we can see a very low camera angle to show the
dramatic, how she solved the problem and set up the ground level. At this point, Ellie remains calm
and collected and is still able to use good judgment when everyone else is panicking. When the
mower exploded, the orange fire cloud just like it going to hit the viewer. The thing that scared me
most was the thought that maybe all the violent things I d been doing, with the ride on mower and
the truck, had transformed me in the space of a couple of nights into a raging monster. This quote
shows Ellie had no time for anything time to think what going to happen next. ... Show more content

It could show Ellie s emotion and this shot shows Ellie s face more clearly, without getting
uncomfortably close. This can help the viewer to pick up on the character s movements and gestures.
In this shot, Ellie closed her eyes tightly, it could tell the viewer Ellie appeared strong on her face
but she was actually scared. In the scene Ellie did not mean to kill the soldier, she just tried to save
her friends from the danger. After that She becomes mentally
Explain Why The Hunger Games Should Be Banned
Have you ever seen a book being banned for violence? Have you ever seen a book promoting a
damaging lifestyle being read to children everywhere? There are over 11,000 books being
challenged worldwide and hundreds of them are currently banned in school. Those books are being
restricted for being inappropriate for readers or promote things that are considered negative. One of
the top ten most banned booksof all time is The Hunger Games and the series. The books are about
teenagers being reaped every year to join the hunger games and kill each other, it shows a different
society with people fighting and basically being slaves for the Capitol which categorizes the bookto
have violence and promote a damaging lifestyle. Parents, schools and even countries are banning
The Hunger Games since the series shows rebels fighting against the government and that can
create rebellious actions. The series has become one of the most controversial series because there
are plenty of reasons it should be banned but it is also one of the greatest book series of all time....

The Hunger Games is full of violence, murder, and profanity but the theme of it is hope. Hope is
expecting or desire for certain things to happen. When you look at the Games where the Capitol
can execute 24 children each year but they let them fight to give them hope. In the darkness of the
Games, Peeta is the one who gave Katniss hope by being by her side wanting them to win gave her
someone to believe in. I don t want them to change me in there. Turn me into some kind of monster
that I m not Peeta Mellark. That quote is Peeta showing hope, he hopes that he would always be
himself, not someone being controlled by the Capitol. Although the books have negative things, the
theme hope is the true meaning of the books. They don t want this society, they hope to live
Analysis Of Mother Tongue By Amy Tan
Language is key in order to communicate vast complex Englishes we picked up during our youth
and benefited from it by broadcasting our ideas to speak amongst our family, friends, and peers.
Language is defined as, the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of
the use of words in a structured and conventional way, by Merriam Webster. From my perspective, I
believe that our languagecan convey our Englishes to speak with many types of characters on
certain types of situations. Knowing that we as humans, has a certain adaptation of picking up
things we hear, can be beneficial due to the fact, that we use those components in order to
communicate. In the article, Mother Tongue, by Amy Tan, discusses a time, where she had to deal
with learning three types of Englishes from her mother which includes simple, broken and watered
down English. Having to deal many struggles and worrying about being criticized can be agitating
due to the fact, that she wanted to be seen as speaking and writing proper academic English. But
through thick and thin, Tan believes that the Englishes she learned from her mother is very
important and shouldn t be concealed with only them two but, should be shown towards everyone
reading her stories. Having a vast amount of Englishes is great, however I specifically speak three
types of English which consist of Taglish, texting, and academic English.
