Design And Management Of Networks
Design and Management of Networks By Name: Course code+ Name:Professor: Institution: City and
State: Date: Introduction NGN Co. is one of the leading and fastest growing online consulting
corporations in the biosphere specializing in the telecommunications and networking industry
(Plunkett, 2014). Based on the dynamism with which technology is advancing, the number of
expected and the often set goals are increasing which must be achieved in an attempt to keep the
company up and running. One of the major areas that need proper attention and updating is the
networking department. Maintaining the highest level of dynamism and security in the integrated
network is critical especially with the recent developments in technology (Lavan, et.al, 2007).
Further, the company has recently experienced growth in their customer base and size and as such
increasing the possible challenges most likely to face the network. As such, it would be necessary
for the company to develop a more integrative network architecture design to continue enjoying the
positive growth both currently and in the days to come. This paper seeks to present a more concrete
network architecture design that improves on the current network infrastructure of NGN Co. to
integrate the most recent wireless technologies for better and more reliable connectivity within the
organization and to the outside world (Walters et al., 2007). This does not only take focus on
providing better service for their
Essay about The Revolutions of 1848
The revolution of 1848 encompassed many of the European countries. The revolutions sweeping
across Europe included Germany, Italy, and France, excluding Russia and England. Many
historians refer to the year of 1848 as, The Year of Revolutions , because of how the revolts spread
throughout Europe. The question is which political groups were the influence behind this
revolution and what were the causes of the revolution. The revolution united many diverse groups
of people; they were able to put aside their differences to move toward the greater good of the
society as a whole. Perhaps, the revolution was about basic human survival, by means of having
adequate food, shelter and the basic supplies to live; and political upheaval to make... Show more

The industrious response to the growth of the population was parallel to the new population size.
More people from rural areas were found moving to the cities to find work in the new industries
that were created. The major problem that led up to the revolution was the tension that was forming
between the classes. The working class had major issues dealing with survival in poverty. There
were three main causes of the outbreak of the revolution in Germany such as: the down spiral of the
business cycle, business failure and loss of job, and the harvest failures throughout Europe. The
people sought after change but in the end they did not fully reach their goal. ( The revolutions of 1848
: in Germany, Italy, and France ) In Italy, nationalism began to form, the conservative leaders felt
threatened by the ideas of the nationalist as well as liberalist because the ideas were very radical.
The pervasive crop failures for two consecutive seasons were part of the reason for the quick
uprising. The working class as in Germany took the brunt of the problems that the loss of crops
had on Italy, because they were those, directly linked to their ability to buy food . ( The
Revolution of 1848 ). Giuseppe Mazzini was a key supporter of unifying the Italian state. Mazzini
as well as the pope s support was required to raise an upheaval for a revolution. The Italian
nationalist needed three key components to make their revolution happen as well as Mazzini and the
pope s support and
Top 1 Cause for Project Failure

In your experience, what is the TOP #1 cause for Project failure?

From experience, the following are the TOP10 causes of Project failure that Mathew can think of
(they are not in any kind of order):

#1. Lacking Sponsor s Involvement/Ownership

#2. Halo Effect (Wrong Man for the Job)
#3. Poor HR Management
#4. Poor/Inadequate Project Communications
#5. Ignoring Project Stakeholders
#6. Absence of Risk Management
#7. Scope Creep/Unrealistic Expectations ( scope creep: Frequent and uncontrolled changes in the
scope or requirements of a project)
#8. Lack of Monitoring of Plan
#9. Absence of a Project Management Methodology ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For me this question shows the real reason for faillure. Most projects focus on producing a rocket
(only focus on delivery). Successful projects however look further: why do we create a rocket?
Because we want to go to the moon. If NASA would have only focussed on delivering rockets,
they would never have reached the moon and probably had produced a great number of disasters
while delivering or using those rockets. A Business Case focus, rather than only a delivery focus!

(By the way off topic: this delivery approach for me also caused the current financial crisis. Only
focussing on the deal, not on the long term effects.)

All reasons summed up in the question above are in my view symptoms and results of the delivery
only approach rather than reasons.

I would say #7. Scope Creep/Unrealistic Expectations. All the others reasons are certainly strong
source for failure but somehow most of them point to have a bad road map document.

This is why a Project Manager is so useful in any organization to make sure that we get the right
project management plan, which include a concise and accurate project scope statement and realistic
project expectations.

Discourse on Method Essay example
Discourse on Method

Heuresis (or invention) comprises, as Richard Lanham notes, the first of the five traditional parts of
rhetorical theory, concerned with the finding and elaboration of arguments (1991: 91). In Aristotle s
Rhetoric the category of heuresis included the kinds of proof available to the rhetorician, lists of
valid and invalid topoi, as well as the various commonplaces the rhetorician might touch upon loci or
stereotypical themes and observations ( time flies ) appropriate to a given occasion
(Lanham 1991: 166 170). In a more contemporary sense heuretic is defined by the OED as the
branch of logic which treats of the art of discovery or invention. Both senses of this word, along
with its more familiar cognate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ulmer s book presents itself, in part, as a heuristic device for enabling such new forms of research
and text production from the inventio provided by Jacques Derrida. In The Other Heading, reflecting
on contemporary Europe,
Derrida repeats a fundamental question posed by Paul Valery in 1939 in the wake of fascism: What
are you going to do?
What are you going to do today? (1992: 18, cited in Ulmer 84). Ulmer sees his work as a
response, in 1992, to this call for invention. Ulmer s text also presents itself as providing a method
for the contemporary paradigm (12) of poststructuralism comparable to the method Descartes
provided for an emergent scientific rationalism. He is quick, however, to qualify this project for any
attempt at a postmodernist method is contradictory (an impossible possibility) (25). In one of the
most suggestive sections of work, the initial chapter contends that all of the manifestos of the avant
garde, belong to the tradition of the discourse on method (8), and provides an analysis of the
common elements comprising such discourses. They are
representable for mnemonic reference by the acronym CATTt (8).

C = Contrast (opposition, inversion, differentiation) A = Analogy (figuration, displacement) T =

Theory (repetition, literalization) T = Target (application, purpose) t = Tale (secondary elaboration,
representability) (8)

Thus Descartes discourse on method

Going To College And The Struggles Of Real Life
Struggles of Real Life

Financial Planning

Going to college is a big deal for some people, college usually means getting out of the town you
grew up in and going on to bigger and better things in life. Some get scholarships to go to their
dream college, others aren t so lucky, they have to take out student loans and get other financial aid
help. There are many challenges about going to college, but money is the biggest challenge of them
all. Having money is the only way to get into college or getting scholarships, but not everyone gets
scholarships. If your parents do not have the money to send you to college, they have to take out
student loans that you have to pay for, for the rest of your life almost. It is challenging to get into
the college that you really want to go to school at if you do not have the money to put yourself
through college.

Going through college is a tough decision, there are so many things that you have to pay for when
you decide to go. I would like to go to Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota or Northwest
College in Powell, Wyoming. I am going to have to work really hard to get myself ready for college,
I want to take a gap year and get a good paying job, so I can save up for college. I will take out
student loans so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Taking out student loans are difficult to pay back, some even take up to Thirty years to pay back.
Some get behind on their payments or are unable to pay for their college, then get kicked out and
the money that they had spent on college belongs to the college, therefore you will not get any of
your money back. Paying for college is a difficult task to do, some would rather work odd jobs for
the rest of their lives, then paying for more school and not knowing if they will even have job after
their college career is over. Going to college is a huge commitment to make when the payment for
college is
Essay on Emily Prager s Our Barbies, Ourselves
Emily Prager s Our Barbies, Ourselves?

In the essay Our Barbies, Ourselves, Emily Prager explores the history of the Barbie doll and
talks about the Barbie doll itself. Prager seems convinced that the Barbie doll was an object
created by a man and that Barbie reeks of sexuality, sexual innuendo and serves as the anti feminist
embodiment of every man s fantasy. In her own expressive and persuasive modes to fashion an
essay designed to persuade the reader that the Barbie doll is a twisted and corrupt tool designed by
men to combat the feminist revolution. Though her attempts at persuasion are commendable, I was
not swayed in my opinions on Barbie. If anything, I just found fault with this writer s point of view,
and I found her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is entirely possible that Barbie is the best of both worlds. Sexy yet smart. Balancing the extreme
worlds of male fantasy and feminine idealism.

Paragraph 7 talks about Prager?s feelings towards Barbie?s boyfriend, Ken. Prager feels that if
Barbie was too sexual, then Ken was the opposite with little or no sexuality at all. His appearance
was plain, a vast difference from the sculpted curves and slopes of Barbie?s body. Prager suggests
that this is because of Ken?s concealed sexuality and Barbie?s exposed sexuality. His plastic
painted on jockey briefs were a far cry from Barbie?s larger than life bra free breasts. Prager
continues with her conclusion that Barbie must somehow be sexually frustrated, because of Ken?s
lack of sexuality, and no matter how sexy she is, or what she does, she will never be able to turn
Ken on.

It is my opinion that Prager has failed in her attempts to persuade the reader that Barbie is a tool
created from male fantasy or a poster child for modern feminism. If anything this essay has helped
me to realize that Barbie is a combination of both worlds. She is both sexually appealing to men
and someone that women can admire and even a toy that little girls can play with and hope to be
like when they are older. I still remain adamantly devoted to my Barbie dolls, seeing her as neither
temptress or sexually frustrated object.
Television And Internet News Programs
News or Nonsense Television and internet news programs have began to stray away from a
strictly informative report of current happenings to vague, non factually based entertainment
stories. This is a direct result of society s desire to worry about everyone s feelings. In the past,
viewers passionately desired accurate information and statistics on the nation s current events. As
of now, a different generation of viewers and new s providers bestow the supply and demand of
news stories based on emotions, rather than fact. With extremist groups becoming increasingly
popular the demand for highly biased news is snowballing. New s corporations like FOX
capitalize on this by providing news that is consistently biased to one point of view. Having a one
sided production such as FOX creates a type of animosity between them and their competition.
This seems rather childish, making these top tier new companies look like a joke. In result, a
viewer will struggle to find a new s broadcast that provides more than a couple of relevant stories
based on factual information. Instead, the bulk of content is displayed in a look at me, feel bad for
me, or look at them format. From this, the broadcasters work at the heart strings of their viewers.
They get the viewer to invest emotion into a story, creating a reaction and desire to hear, see, and
feel more. Given the response, broadcasters see interest in emotionally based stories skyrocket and
interest in factually based stories
A Brief Note On Outdated And Outdated Processes
Inefficient and Outdated Processes This connects to the low profit margins. BRS has many outdated
and inefficient processes, but the major one revolves around payments. For tickets and concessions
cash is preferred and if the occasional credit card comes through, an old addressograph type of
machine is used to make an imprint of the card. With such a delayed amount of time to submit the
charge for payment, many of the credit cardpayments are uncollectible. Concessions are all locally
purchased at grocery stores or other local suppliers, and no contracts are made with a supplier that
could provide a wholesale discount. The basic concessions are offered at reasonable prices. Granted,
this is not necessarily a problem and I applaud BRS... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As many consumers have begun to carry less cash on them, having a cash reliant business has
become risker. Moving towards allowing for easy payments will speed up service, and increase the
amount of money spent, especially in the concession areas. Cons: Square® does not offer its
services for free, but neither does the current service. The ease of Square could drastically increase
the amount of credit and debit card sales and could decrease revenues because of increased fees,
refer to Figure 3. This could be addressed by setting a minimum charge amount to utilize the
service. There would also be an initial investment required to purchase the devices that could be
utilized with the card readers. Square offers a free reader that plugs into the auxiliary port of
most smart devices, but it would be unwise to have employees utilize personal devices (Square
Inc., n.d.). In this type of layout, tablets are most commonly used and those can cost a couple
hundred dollars each. As there are two food booths, a ticket gate with two windows, a snack bar,
and a souvenir stand and all far apart from each other a minimum of five devices would be needed
(as the front gate could share). That would be at least a $1000 initial investment and may not be
worth the investment for 20 business days each season, though the equipment could be utilized for a
minimum of 5 years before they were outdated. To better understand
