Health Promotion And Health In Australia
A big part of life is eating and many people find pleasure in doing so. Having an understanding for
a healthy diet is a large part of nutrition. Eating a variety of fruit gives individual a better chance of
consuming all the nutrients and dietary fibre they need which could help prevent major health
conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and certain cancers (Australian Bureau
of Statistics, 2012).

Health promotion is a broad term to describe activities that help improve health and prevent illness. It
has a long history in Australia and many initiatives have aimed to alter attitudes and behaviours,
encouraging personal responsibility for health outcomes. Health promotion can reduce the burden of
illness and lead to social and economic benefits (Lyons, A, 2015).

According to the World Health Organisation, low fruit and vegetable consumption is among the top
ten risk factors contributing to global mortality. In 2003, low fruit and vegetable consumption was
estimated to be responsible for 2.1% of the total burden of disease in Australia (World Health
Organisation, 2011).

Research shows that not many Australians are meeting the required intake of fruit and vegetables.

Rangefinders Research Paper
Rangefinders have become a huge part of hunting. So what makes up the best hunting rangefinder?
Well, it is obvious that knowing the range of your target is a huge benefit, especially when
shooting long range and archery. The further out a shot is, the more the projectile will drop, but if
you know your weapon and the distance to the target, you can effectively shoot at incredible
distances. Here we will take a look at what you should look for in a rangefinder for hunting

There are several things that you need to be aware of before you buy a rangefinder so that you can
buy the best hunting rangefinder for your situation. There are options that not all rangefinders have
that will prove very beneficial once you use them. Here is a list of the items to keep in mind before
you buy:

Price Quality
Maximum Range
Angle Compensation
Overall Size
Simplicity

Let s break these down to make sure you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For most long range shooters, you will want a rangefinder good for over 1,000 yards. Even if you
are an archery shooter you will want a high maximum range. Even if you will not use the long range
for hunting or shooting, it is still fun to use. Not to mention, most models these days have maximum
ranges of 1,000 yards or better.

Even though a hunting range finder might have a maximum range of 1200 yards for instance, it is
important to remember that this number is only accurate in the most ideal conditions. Most
maximum ranges are calculated on a large reflective surface in the perfect weather conditions, which
is not typical of a hunting situation. On deer sized animals with typical conditions you are normally
good out to about 75% of the stated range. That being said, higher quality hunting rangefinders will
live up to their stated maximum range much more than the cheaper ones will. Yet another reason to
go with the best you can afford.

Sameer Patel s Frightful Symphony
On November 5th, 2015 an exquisite and delightful symphony was conducted by Sameer Patel that
is recognized by audiences and musicians for his musicality and his passion towards music. The
symphony focus for this show was the brass which encompass a wide range of different instruments
including trumpets, tubas and trombones that stole the spotlight. Also joining the orchestraa world
renowned Norwegian tuba soloist named Oystein Baadsvik that made his debut in the symphony, by
playing a Norwegian Folk Song named Fnugg. In Fnugg, Oystein Baadsvik does something that
makes him unique compared to other tuba players, he uses double tonging that allows him to sound
like he his beat boxing with his instrument. While double tonging, Oystein also sings into his
instrument that creates multiphonics. I admired this piece because it is very entertaining and also

The overture begins with a fanfare in the brass, followed by a fast melody in the winds. The strings
take up this melody and the piece reaches a climax with a four note motif. Suddenly, the music
reaches a more lyrical melody in the horns and cellos, although the tempo remains the same. Then
the brass take the finally with a high spirited and lively ending with the focus on the trumpets. This
piece is marvellous because it fits right into the symphony of big bold brass. In the beginning and
the end of the piece, the brass stole the show with cheerful and up lifting sections. The imagery in
my head when I listen to this piece is a war. In the beginning, the fanfare in the brass represents the
armies preparing to go to war. Then when the strings and horns take the melody, it represents the war
occurring with the use of staccatos and accents to show the armies clashing together and the troops
falling. The ending with the brass exhibits one army winning the war and celebrating the
The Ethical And Moral Issue
Recent research suggests that human beings have the technology to revert species extinction.
Scientists are able to reassemble the DNA in a dead tissue of extinct animals. However, the DNA
is not perfect because it contains bacteria, fungi, or other micro organism s DNA. Scientists have
to find their closest living relative and reassemble the missing gene to form a hybrid gene. These
technique can potentially bring any extinct animal back as long as we have its DNA. For this new
technology, we will be using the theory of Utilitarianism to examine the ethics behind it. The main
ethical and moral issue comes with the out come of the extinct species enter the wild. Firstly, my
view is that recreated extinct species equals alien species. My definition of alien species is plant,
animal, or microorganism that is not currently living in a place but are transported into the area.
This means, all extinct species are alien species to our current environment if we bring any of them
back. They might be the most abundant species on the area when they were alive, for example, the
passenger pigeon was once the most abundant species in North America. However, once they went
extinct, the food chain and ecosystem began to not depend on their existence. Therefore, the
question will be, what happen when we introduce there extinct species into wild? And does the
happiness outweigh the risk? What might happen when introducing an alien species to an area? For
the native species, these alien
Minority Groups within Empires

Conclusion:
1 Recommendations regarding dealing with minorities

When the word Empire is heard, people tend to think of a hegemonic state with an emperor that
oppresses all those who oppose him. Such an impression is not the result of nothingness, but that of
shallow knowledge of certain empires that prevailed in the pre modern and early modern world.
However, before we get into details about how minorities were dealt with, we have to define our
terms. The first term to be defined is minority ; which according to Richard T. Schaefer means a
subordinate group whose members have significantly less control or power over their lives than
members of a dominant or majority group.
There are certain characteristics for minority groups. The first is that they have a distinguishing
physical or cultural trait. Such a case is manifested regarding the Hijab in France, or the use of
Kurdish language by Lebanese Kurds. The second is being treated unequally, and having less control
over one s life, as was the case with Africans in South Africa. The third characteristic is having
involuntary membership, with no personal choice being employed in the process. That characteristic
is to be observed with African Americans born to slave parents. A fifth and highly important
Hugh Mcnaughton s Second Job
Washing cars and sweeping floors was only the first of 13 year old Hugh McNaughton s sixteen jobs
as he grew up.
It was at the age of 14 that Hugh decided sitting behind a desk was not his calling in life so he left
school and ventured off to find his first full time job.
The theory side of school did not interest me, I found it boring instead, I enjoyed hands on activities
like building, he says.
The cleaning company E.D. Oates was his second job, although it was short lasting. Hugh left there
to find that brickies labouring was the next job to tickle his fancy.
His hunger for new experiences lead him away from brickies labouring to the Benalla City Council
road maintenance.
It was at 17 that Hugh stumbled on one of his favourite
Losing In Battle
The author s perspective of Losing in battle, ISIS gains by attacking the gray zone of the west ,
Kari Vick, has also used various opinions and facts that he has exposed to the reader as he
explains what the gray zone is to the readers. The author was very thorough with information as
he explained the situation and other events that have occurred with ISIS such as proving how
ISIS sees the world in black and white and how they abhor the middle ground where day life lives.
Kari also explained the life of a French journalist when he was a hostage for ten whole years, wrote
also when Germany opened its own doors to the Syrian refugees, the jihadist was flummoxed with
their response recorded on a videotape. The author of Losing in battle,... Show more content on

Although there were many rhetorical strategies, the one strategy that was shown the most was the
enumeration device. The enumeration device is the most dominating device because throughout the
article the author uses diction to describe with detail. For instance, The ancient city of Palmyra fell
on March 27 to the forces of Syrian President Bashar Assad and Russia (Vick 2). This example
presents Enumerations, rhetorical device because the description of the president, the date, the city
and the forcers were all stated in the one sentence. From the details and the enumeration device, you
are able to be informed about the topic and can imagine what exactly
Essay On Cathleen Ni Houlihan s Rising Of The Moon
First Cathleen Ni Houlihan would be performed followed by The Rising of the Moon. Both settings
of these one acts would be constructed with minimalistic design juxtaposed with highly detailed
acting decisions. This will utilize the audience s imagination to create a realistic backdrop for both of
these scenes, and keep the focus of the production of the evolving relationship between the
protagonists and the unlikely defenders of Ireland, i.e. the ragged man and the poor old woman.
Minimalist constructs for both settings is a must for both plays. It impossible to create a realistic
enough backdrop for the scenes that accurately illustrates the culture, and the beauty of the nature
surrounding both scenes. Therefore, by allowing the audienceto create the shoreline that the quay is
built upon, and the fields basked in the sun s glow surrounding the Gillane s residents, they will be
more invested in the stakes of the rebellion, and as a result better sympathize with the antagonist.

His decision should be fully motivated by the dialogue between himself and the ragged man.
Instead of a gradual change of heart, there needs to be a clear moment before the sargent s No one
(57), that shows a quick deliberation and decision. This will show that while the sergeant s choice
was based on instinct, it was also of his volition. This contrast directly with Michael who was
powerless to resist the urge to defend Ireland. It also important that the levity, and humor not be loss
from these lines, this contributes to the lighter tone, and the ultimate approval from the audience for
the sergeant s decision. At the conclusion of these two pieces the audience should leave having
contemplated the personal sacrifice of both protagonists, but also fully appreciate the reasoning they
have for giving up monetary gains, and in Michael s case his family, to defend Irish
The Importance Of Inventory Management
Generally, most of the inventory costs are not always fixed due to uncertainty of competitive market.
In the existing literature, it is found that several researchers have worked on uncertainty considering
inventory parameters as fuzzy valued. In this work, we have represented the inventory parameters as
interval. Using this concept, we have developed a two warehouse inventorymodel with advanced
payment, partial backlogged shortage. Due to uncertainty, this problem cannot be solved by existing
direct/indirect optimization technique. For this purpose, different variants of particle swarm
optimization technique (viz. PSO CO, WQPSO and GQPSO) have been developed to solve the
problem of the proposed inventory model by using interval... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Again, Taleizadeh et al. [6] has formulated an inventory model taking jointly price, replenishment
frequency, and replenishment cycle and production rate and optimized it. Tsao [7] has made an
inventory model which helps for a decision to find joint location, inventory, and preservation facility
under delay in payments condition. Shaikh et al. [8] have proposed an economic order quantity
model for deteriorating item with preservation technology investment. Shaikh et al.[9] have again
explored another inventory model with non instantaneous deterioration inventory model with price
and stock dependent demand for fully backlogged shortages under inflation. Subsequently, Pal [10]
has discussed a stochastic production inventory model for deteriorating item with finite life cycle.
Except the earlier mentioned work, many other researchers have also developed the inventory
model considering deterioration as a factor. Here we have cited few of them in Table 1.
Another factor in inventory management is availability of physical space to store the goods for
smooth running the business. In this regard, two warehouse system facilities is in the eye of
business organization. In a two warehouse system there are
The Negative Effects Of Oxidative Stress
Kozakowska et al., (2015) findings show that it is possible for exercises to support special
adaptations as regards to the group and vigor of the physical activity engaged. Based on their
findings, they hypothesize that the adaptations occur to protect the muscles from disproportionate
ROS generation, hence, enhancing the motor activities (Kozakowska et al., 2015). Their findings
show that light exercises and warm up regimens reduced erythrocyte MDA and raised erythrocyte
SOD performance in patients with MD who engaged in regular light workouts. This study is
corroborated by the study done by Al Naama et al., (2015) whose findings were that low intensity
exercises was adequate to improve MDA levels and carbonyl protein which is... Show more content

Some studies suggest that the apoptotic activities cause sequential death of cells through
biochemical processes that change the traits of the cells. Some of the changes occur through DNA
mutation, swelling of the cell plasma membrane, and the impairment of the mRNA (Rowland
Pedley, 2010). Research in apoptosis has divulged new findings suggesting that the process
irrepressible once it begins making it one of the most highly controlled process of the cell
functioning (Gießing, 2005). Another study on the role of apoptotic activity divulges that this
activity may be started by one of two pathways, namely the intrinsic and extrinsic pathway (Elmore,
2007). When MD patients engage in high intensity exercises cause a decrease in the production of
ROS that makes cells in the intrinsic pathway to self engage and kill themselves as they are
sensitive to the stress on the cells. The death that occurs in the cells in the extrinsic pathway is
thought to be due to the activation of the caspases that cause the death of cells and enzymes that
debase protein functions. In the case of extrinsic pathway cell death, it assumed that both pathways
prompt the death of cells (Elmore, 2007). A research conducted by Rahimov and Kunkel (2013)
explored the role of high intensity exercise on the myofiber membrane in MD. Their study found
adverse effects in terms of the weakening of the myofiber membrane. The possible cause for this as

Essay on Employee Relationship of British Airways (Ba)
Employee Relationship of British Airways (BA)

Brief description of organisation

British Airways happens to be the ninth largest airline in the world, in terms of the number of
passengers it carries. At the international level, it operates to more destinations than any other airline
and therefore is considered as an airline possessing the strongest network in the international market.
At present, it is operating to 167 different destinations in 87 different countries around the globe
(British Airways Plc and British Caledonian Group plc, 2002).

British Airways has the major advantage of being based in a premier location, i.e. London
Heathrow, which is considered the heart of the European air travel and is a major business hub. ...

Collectivism, like individualism, has two extremes ranging from willing cooperation at one end to a
grudging acceptance at the other (Farnham D, 1993, p36 7) It is important to understand that no
company is strictly individualist or collectivist and the links between the two employee relations are
not incompatible with each other. Overall, BA has the collectivist approach because large emphasis
is on the group. One such example is the nurturing of cabin crew. Families of staff are created to
work the same shift patterns. This was pursued to encourage mutual support, make cabin crew feel
comfortable about their working environment, and as a result, facilitate the production of emotional
labour (I Grugulis and A Wilkinson, 2001, p13).

#61656;Unitary or pluralist management styles?

As for a particular type of Management style in practice, this is difficult to say, as there is overlap
between the two main categories; unitary and the pluralist. BA has some of the characteristics of
the unitary approach in the sense that the different departments consist of teams of people working
together towards common aims and there s a presence of strong leadership to create loyalty. Strong
emphasis is placed on employee training, which BA takes very seriously in order to create
