Mao Zedong Of The Chinese Communist Party
The world has changed a lot since the formation of the Chinese Communist Party in 1949. From a
nation, which was barely living during the beginning of Mao Zedong s reign to a country that boasts
the second largest economy in the world. The People s Republic of China, as learned from class,
experienced hardships that most newly established country. Solidifying the legitimacy of the newly
established Communist Party, securing the leadership position, and pulling people from the grave
and encouraging them to become productive citizens that will help the country to grow.
Mao Zedong was successful in accomplishing the most difficult part in forming China, help defeating
the Japanese and end the 100 years of humiliation and unifying China under ... Show more content

He had a hands on experience of what China was before (during the Cultural Revolution) and how
it has evolved from that point. We are living in an epoch where there s no single hegemonic
power. Where each state pull its weight and international organizations exist to support and ensure
that it stays that way. China is one example of a country that was left and considered insignificant
(economically) a few decades ago and now leads the world. A nation that tremendously denounced
globalization is the country that mostly benefits from it. The US however, is moving towards the
opposite. Instead of embracing globalization trade agreements that promote it, one example is the
TPP. Under the current Trump administration, the US officially closed its doors from further
participation with the said agreement. This of course, benefits China. While whatever China does
right now can be taken as aggression and bullying of smaller nations, we can all agree that China s
action is far from surprising, but in actuality, is an expected consequence of a rising nation. The
fact is that we are not used to probable change in status quo, China s rise in power may bring. We ve
been living in the current boundaries established since WWII and the possibility of that changing
frightens anyone, especially the one who may be directly affected. Security dilemma occurs
whenever a new power
Lord Of The Flies Morality
Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! (Golding 152). In William Golding s novel Lord of
the Flies, a group of boys unfortunately crash land on an island with nothing but the clothes on their
backs; they are compelled to draw out any survival instincts in order to endure the harsh
environment and events that will soon take place over time. What the group of boys did not know
was how the island would affect their behaviors and sense of identifying what was right from wrong.
This incantation performed by the boys was the result of being inhabited on the island for a short
amount of time, the boys sense of morality begins to deteriorate and fade as the island brings forth
the buried nature within themselves. Soon enough, the civilization... Show more content on

One of the main contributors to the influence of the downfall among the boys would be Jack, the
opposing chief of Ralph s group, who is always trying to be on top. Jack was standing before a
small group of boys.... We ll hunt. I m going to be chief (Golding 133). This quote comes from
Jack s mouth spouting what he thinks should be done around the island and at the same time
declaring himself chief. The majority of the boys had already voted for Ralph as chief but now it
was Jack s turn to forcefully strip the position from him as the greed and selfishness begins to
overwhelm him. As Jack s personality begins to show barbaric traits after experiencing hunting,
he is consumed with power desiring the role of the sole leader on the island and even going to the
drastic measures of murder to accomplish his goal. The island is then broken into two groups
leading to much chaos and havoc between the two communities that cause severe consequences
that affect the civilization on the island. Even in this situation, Jack was still in a state where all
he desired was the role of the chief among the boys. See? See? That s what you ll get! I mean that!
There isn t a tribe for you anymore! The conch is gone (Golding 181). Even after witnessing Piggy s
recent death, Jack still has the
Similarities Between Confucius And Confucius Essay
In life, we face various kinds of relationships that involve parents, friends, colleagues, and
companions among other individuals as well. In The Analects of Confucius, Confucius discussed
different types of relationships and outlined ways in which people could deal with them. Confucius
talked about filial piety, authoritative conduct, ritual, trust etc. The most impressive theory to me
was about governance and made me reflect upon myself as far as leadershipis concerned. It is worth
noting that there are two types of leaders depending on their individual styles. The first kind of
leaders personally takes part in actively implementing his orders. The second type of leader on the
other hand delegates duties to other people without setting an example. When ruling a country, a
state and even a family, a leader should be the North Star, which directs others. In Confucianism, a
virtuous leader does not need to do anything since other people who respect the leader will carry out
the necessary duties for him. Confuciusasserts that when a leader adheres by the rituals, everything
will unfold well. I run a small business with my friends in Toronto. Most of the employees in my
store were born in 1990s and come from families with single children. Most of them are spoiled and
have never worked before. They experience tremendous challenges when it comes to handling
relationships with their colleagues and customers. At first, I did everything by myself in front of
them so as to set
The Marketing Environment And Marketing Mix Of A Firm
In this report, I have used marketing concepts to analyze the marketing environment and marketing
mix of a firm, which has achieved superior performance. I have chosen one of the most famous and
oldest retailer in the UK, Marks Spencer.
Marks Spencer is one of the best well known British department stores. It was founded by Michael
Marks and Thomas Spencer in 1884 (M S, 2014). It started as a market stall at Kirkgate Market in
Leeds. Nowadays, M S has transformed to an international multi channel retailer with 798 stores in
UK and 455 international stores (M S, 2014). According to its annual report this year, it has earned
a total revenue of £10.3 billions over the last year. (M S, 2014)
Basically Marks Spencer has divided its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore Plan A is launched in 2007 (M S, 2014). It is a plan that promotes ethical trading,
environmentally friendly and sustainability. For example under this plan, M S has developed a
programme that trains suppliers with their rights, as well as support some disadvantaged supply
chain workers. With the help of Plan A, M S has established a good relationship with their suppliers
and also earn them a place of high rated ethical trading company.
Maintaining good relationship with the suppliers is very important. If one of the suppliers suddenly
refuses to supply material to M S, they can find another suppliers immediately. Therefore M S has
never failed on the supply of materials.
➢Customers
M S mainly target the consumer market rather than business and government market. The objective
of M S is not only maximizing their profit, but also increase customer satisfaction and their loyalty.
M S target their customers on the upper class of the society that means people with higher income,
and also healthy eaters in the society. Their target customers mostly aim at improving their quality
of lives, concerning about the product quality rather than prices. So M S devote their effort on
improving the quality of their products so as to increase customer s satisfaction. According to Baber
Smith, M S have seen as producing good quality products with good values (Baber Smith, 2009).

A feedback loop is a section of a control system inside an organisms body, that can self correct to
then change a section of the control system according to difference between the actual/desired set
point. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/feedback+loop There are two types of feedback loops
negative and positive, .They are both occur due to the Stimuli. However negative feedbackloops
operate differently then they do in a positive feedbackloop. A negative feedback loop is used to
suppress or discontinue the effect of a stimuli. A negative feedback loop occurs when the stimuli
(change in the environment) is detected and a response occurs, to discontinue the Stimuli. For
example the temperature of the human body increases above it s set... Show more content on

Progesterone is a steroid hormone most commonly found in the female reproductive cycle. The
following diagram represents three feedback loops for the menstrual cycle. The blue feedback loop
shows two hormones, FSH and LH, secretion as to begin the growth of the follicle then the
hormones work together to start the estrogen secretion the estrogen then has a negative feedback
from FSH causing it to stop been desecrate. The red feedback loop shows, increased levels of
estrogen occur midpoint in the cycle causing positive feedback to respond on the LH cells in the
pituitary. As LH levels rise ovulation will occur. The purple feedback loop concludes after ovulation
and shows the follicle cells transform into corpus luteum which secrets then builds up progesterone
and estrogen levels forming the endometrial lining the hormones work together and a second
negative feedback signal is sent to allow the release of FSH and LH. The corpus luteum then
deteriorates dropping the production of estrogen and progesterone allowing menstruation to occur.

Cambodian Refugee’s and their adjustment to American...
Cambodian Refugee s and their adjustment to American Society One of the youngest ethnic groups
of Southeast Asians migrated to the United States during the mid 1970s was the Cambodian
population. They are considered one of the youngest generations of immigrants in American society
along with the rest of the Southeast Asians or Indo Chinese; Vietnamese, Lao, and Hmong. All of
the ethnic groups in the Cold War era were seeking political asylum to the States from their
respective homeland caused by a Civil War spreading across Vietnam. Nearly hundreds of thousands
of Cambodians refugees fled to Thailand, Europe and other safe haven Asian countries but majority
had escaped to the United States. Unlike earlier Asian immigrants like the Chinese... Show more

Therefore many fled, seeking political asylum during the reign. But prior to the event, the American
and Cambodian countries have already established a relationship with one another. A small number
of Cambodians lived in the Long Beach area where Cambodian students attending schools such as
California State University of Long Beach (Kitano and Daniels 74). The presence of settled
Cambodians within U.S. soil attracted many of the 1975 refugees to the Long Beach area. Thus it
sparked a huge migration movement, but many foreigners faced even greater challenges in their new
home. It should be noted that measuring the demographics of the Cambodian American community
has historically been challenging; it is widely suspected that the community is repeatedly
undercounted by the Census Bureau. A 1992 report of the Census Bureau identified several
problems that lead an inaccurate count of this particular ethnic group (Bunte and Joesph Cenus
data). They include language barriers, mistrust of strangers and the government due to the post
traumatic effects of the Khmer Rouge also known as, Pol Pot Syndrome and the unusual residence
and household composition as significantly affected Census counts. To sum it up, the statistics are
usually generalized as a whole to easily identify the migration patterns, social behaviors and
economic resources of the Cambodian Americans. The,
Psychology At Jefferson Center For Mental Health
Throughout this semester I completed an internship in psychology at Jefferson Center for Mental
Health. Specifically I spent my time in a short term Hospital Alternative Facility (HAF). HAF is a
residential facility that aids in transitioning home from the hospital, another Jefferson Center for
Mental Health facility or a crisis situation. All of our clients have current mental health diagnoses,
the most common of which are depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and
schizophrenia. Clients stay for only a short time and the main objectives for their stay normally
revolve around stabilizing meds and finalizing housing and living plans for the future. HAF
provides services that are vital in that clients can have a stable residence so they can focus on
managing symptoms and figuring out the best strategy to integrate themselves, with new goals back
into their life. However, with all of HAF s outstanding and vital qualities, there are also areas that I
would suggest for improvement given what I have learned through my undergraduate education in
psychology. My first critique stems from my exposure to both Psychopharmacology and Clinical
Psychologyclasses. Every morning, a Nurse Prescriber comes to HAF and meets with as many
clients as she can during her allotted two hours each weekday. There are two critiques that I have
found concerning given this method of managing client medication. The first lies in an apparent
patient client disconnect present in
Characteristics Of Canadian Culture
There are many different views of Canadian culture and to me personally, it refers to our unique
culture, identity and values of being Canadian. Canada does not only embody one culture, it instead
embodies many other different cultures that co exist with each other. It is one of the most notable
unique characteristics of Canadas by being such a diverse country. In my preference, in order to
follow Canadian culture, you have to follow the Canadian values and beliefs, an example: how
Canadians have rights/freedom, and are nice/polite people. Moreover, all Canadians have been
associated with things that sets Canada apart from other countries, such as ketchup chips, free
healthcare and Canada s national sport, curling. Canadian culture is represented by uniqueness of
Canadians, traditions and values/beliefs of the Canadian people. I like to see Canada as cultural
mosaic, rather than a cultural melting pot. One of Canada s distinct qualities is its multiculturalism,
where there is co existence between different cultures. Canada is mostly made up of immigrants
which makes Canada so culturally diverse with different cultures. Canadians take pride in its
diversity of its cultures as it makes up Canada. Multiculturalism is the key factor in building Canada
into a greater nation that includes everybody. Stated by Austin Uthe. I fully agree with Mr. Uthe s
point, to include everybody no matter what race and ethnicity will make Canada a greater nation
with everybody having same
Groupthink Assessment
1. What was the Chapter # and name of the Assessment?
The chapter number is ten, and the name of the assessment is Delegation.
2. What was the purpose of the Assessment?
The purpose of the assessment is to analyze personal tendencies regarding sharing tasks in group
assignments and activities. The measurement contrasts delegation and perfectionism.
3. What was your score/result on the Assessment and What does it mean?
The assessment deals with perfectionism, the desire to be in personal control, compared to
delegation, or the entrusting others with work, which I am responsible for. Questions one through
five focused on delegation, and questions six through ten focused on perfectionism. I had three
mostly true answers in both categories. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am still in the process of figuring out where I fit, I am not consistent in school, or in my focus on
a career; I know that tendency is probably within most of us at this stage of our educational career.
This is confession time for me, part of my perfectionism struggle comes at times when I feel
inadequate, or when I know I am struggling. I think I pull the tasks back in, because I have
something to prove to myself as well. I know this would not be a healthy or helpful manager, but
experiencing this personal struggle may help me see it within my employees, and be an opportunity
for me to share how this limits me, and how I have had to learn to let go and trust as
