Illegitimate Children In The Renaissance Era
CHAPTER NO. 1: Renaissance society, Illegitimacy and Primogeniture law.
Renaissance was known as the age of rebirth ; it was the period of fifteen to sixteen century in
England. This age was basically the golden period for art and literature and major changes take
places in the field of art and literature in the sixteen century England.
Renaissance believes strictly in family system because family system plays greater role in society. In
renaissance England for a marriage average age for bride was 25 or 26 and for grooms its 27 or 28
but for aristocracy it was 19 to 21 for bride and 24 to 26 for groom. It was not uncommon for
women to marry first time in their thirties and forties because of taking care of their young siblings

Society does not accept him because of his illegitimate status and child suffers mistreatment from
society. First problem which illegitimate child suffers was disrespect toward his mother and his own
self. This birth was not his fault but society still mocks him about his birth.
Child wants love from family and acceptance from society but for a bastard child it becomes
difficult because society doesn t accept him and his parent (mostly father) doesn t love him
because of his illegitimate status. For a parent or father that child became reminder of his sin and
as human he doesn t need a permanent reminder of his mistake so that parent tries to get rid of that
child or try to ignore him. Society and family doesn t see him as equal to their legitimate offspring
and in turn child becomes rebellious toward society and family.
Another problem which child suffers was inheritance issue. Firstly in renaissance society there was
primogeniture law and according to that law the first born child will inherit all property. Secondly
as illegitimate child even if he was a first child, still he would get nothing from his father s
inheritance. His mother was second women in his father s life and now he became second best
among his legitimate siblings. These things evoke jealousy in him and when he grows up his
personality became
The Importance Of Health Care
possible to the time of care, enhances credibility and accuracy of health care records (2012, p.17).
This statement specifically refers to the well documented issues related to delayed charting and
nurses recalling, often improperly, the events of a situation.
Recall is one of two ways used to re access a memory (the other is recognition). According to
Mastin, recall occurs when we remember a fact, event or object that is not physically present
(2010). Mastin continues to write that there are three main kinds of recall: free recall, cued recall,
and serial recall (2010). In a situation such as documenting, a nurse would utilize serial recall, which
refers to our ability to sequentially and chronologically remember events. However, the ... Show

However, informally, nurses can work together to brainstorm the most effective and efficient ways to
accurately chart in a timely manner.
Overall, timely charting should become a habit for the nurses at Excela Home Health and Hospice
Care Service. I believe that the best change theory to set this change in motion is Kotter s 2012 Eight
Step Plan for Integrating Change. This would be the most effective because it is the most specific
and seems as though it could function throughout an entire hospital department. For example,
according to Grossman (2017), Kotter s first step is to identify a need and communicate the
necessity (p. 53). In this scenario, the need would be for more timely charting and the necessity
would be to improve patient care and nurses state of mind (it is hard to function well when tired
from staying up all night charting). The second step is to, create power in numbers to lead the
change (p. 53). This would be done by motivating the supervisors to engage both management and
nurses. The third through eighth steps involve developing the policy, communicating the policy, and
then implementing and enforcing it, and finally evaluating the functionality of the policy after it is
in place. Kotter s Eight Step plan is a very clear cut change theory that I feel covers all of
Learning New Concepts And Points Of View
For my flexibility, it says that I take a highly flexible approach to life and are likely very open to
new and changing ideas and circumstances. I agree with this point a lot, because throughout my
life so far I have had to change things that I have done last minute to accomplish something else
that was going on. Also, it says that I tend to embrace change in school, work and life in general. I
agree with this too, because during school I always got excited when I got a new class because it
was something different. Lastly, it says that flexibility allows me to be open to learning new
concepts and exploring differing points of view. This one is a little harder for me to completely
agree to, because yes I am open to new ideas but not all the time when exploring new concepts and
points of view. One example is when I was suppose to tutor a girl in my high schooland she was
having problems finding a time that would work for both of us. I came up with a time during
school that we could meet and I told her that she could come up with any day Monday through
Friday at the time that we had determined would work best for both of us.
My social responsibility is very accurate. It states that I have a strong concern and compassion for
society and act act as a champion for making a difference. The other one says that I likely gain
deeper connection to the welfare of others and as a result, gain a broad perspective of others
struggles. I have always felt that I have had a strong

The One Who Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest Literary Analysis
Undeniably, Ken Kesey s intention throughout the novel of The One Who Flew Over The Cuckoo
s Nest was to enlighten us to a new world of understanding about the complexities of human nature.
From observations on the internal and external conflicts between a rebel and a follower within a
suppressive microcosm of society, we are elevated to the understanding of how through human
nature, both conflicting figures are inevitably destroyed and further reinforces the social order.
Thus, Kesey resolves this complication by inspiring us to be neither a rebel nor a follower, but
convinces us throughout the text to take a third option in being a spectator that learns from the
mistakes made by others in order to truly escape the repressing order of society.... Show more content

Because of this Kesey warns us about the consequences of rebellion through the emphasis on the
symbolic feature of the electroshock therapy table. This image of the table symbolises the
consequences as well as the Nurse s power which is used to plant fear within individuals preventing
them from stepping out of line and becoming disobedient to the system. As a consequence to
McMurphy s effort in teaching about the importance of individualism and the impudence of
conformity, he was given several ruthless electric shocks. The ruthless, abusive treatments that are
given to patients who opposes the system, portrays the tactics used by the authorities as a way of
maintaining this social order. Thus we are informed about the harsh consequences of disobedience.
Additionally, Kesey also takes advantage over the diction combine . Chief mentions how the
Combine which is a huge organisation that aims to adjust the Outside as well as she has the Inside ,
the diction fully represents the idea of a mechanical force on society that represses individuals,
manipulating and controlling their movement. The significance of the combine which is a machine
that harvests wheat, symbolises the mechanical nature of the hospital and the way in which
individuals are cut down and controlled. McMurphy who embodies spontaneity, individuality and
freedom opposed too big of a threat to the system and thus through the authority of the combine was
eventually lobotomised. Concurrently this idea of rebels being stood down is once again proposed
when the nurse states how the patients are all under the jurisdiction and control of hers, this
example shows the dominance and control she has on the patients and the way she waits on the
sidelines with a needle expresses the violence and power used to suppress rebels from opposing the
system that
The United States And South Korea
The United States and South Korea are both developed countries in opposite sides of the world.
Consequently, the challenges that the education field faces in regards to mental health are different.
First, a concern discussed in regards to mental health in schools in the United States is how to deal
with the different challenges that arise in children with learning disabilities. There is a lot of debate
whether or not these children with special needs should be educated on inclusive education, or not.
These challenges are further worsened when it comes to different resources that are available in
schools. Because of the lack of funding that many schools face, it makes it harder for the school to
help these children thrive in school. However, in South Koreamost children who are considered to
have learning disabilities are put on inclusive education the majority of the time to help them not
only in their education but also in ways that they can better adapt to society once they are done with
school.
Additionally, the South Korean education system faces the challenge of reducing depression and
anxiety among middle and high school students. Suicide rates in Korea are the highest in the world,
and the youth are no exception to this trend. Because of the amount of pressure that students are
given by their parents and society, more students have been presenting symptoms of depression and
anxiety. Every year, there are always cases of students committing suicide before and after
A Letter About Fice Essay
Walking into the office, Carrie noticed that everyone seemed tense. She walked to Melissa s
desk, an old friend and coworker, and stated, What s going on? Why does everyone look so
agitated? she said in a low voice. We re about to have a meeting again because of someone else s
mistake, Melissa replied, biting on her lip. What happened? . Well, Jerry wrote a letter venting about
the Boss, and he made a mistake and sent it to him. What! , Carrie stated. He didn t try to send it
to him. His intent was to send it to Maggie, but he sent it to the Boss instead. And it gets worst
Maggie was also talking about leaving the company as well in the letter. Carrie shook her head as
they walked into the meeting. As the conference started the Boss began to speak in a manner that no
adult should talk to another. He screamed and sculled at everyone when they had nothing to do with
the incident. By the time the meeting was over many were talking about leaving the company. Some
stated that the way he communicated with them was very unprofessional, and they felt disrespected.
Others stated they were going to file complaints. Personally, I don t think the Boss handled himself
in a professional way. As a leader you must know the role of communication and effective leadership
otherwise, you will lose your best workers.
Today there are so many methods of communicating with one. You have the ability to use the
internet, phone, handwriting, letter, and the traditional face to face
The Capitalist Class And The Proletariat Essay
Adam Smith and Karl Marx both examine the capitalist mode of production as an issue of central
theoretical concern. I will be addressing many issues regarding capitalism from both theorists that
will demonstrate the general theoretical orientation that each has towards the nature of capitalism
and the roles of the capitalist class and the proletariat. This includes the moral character of the
capitalist class, the tendency of capitalismtowards crisis, the effects of the division of labour, and the
permanence of the system in a historical context. Further, I will also demonstrate why these issues
are relevant today, and how many of the arguments made by these theorists are still being used.
The first issue surrounding the nature of capitalism I will address is the moral character of the
capitalist class as perceived by Adam Smith and Karl Marx. The overall position that Adam Smith
adopts in the Wealth of Nations is that the pursuit of self interest for personal gain of the capitalist
can be beneficial for the general welfare of society, so long as it is channeled through the market
rather than through the interference of the state (Baumol 1976; McNally 1998). However, this does
not imply that the interests of the capitalist class should be the guiding interests of the market.
Baumol (1976) argues that Smith repeatedly attacks the personal morality of the capitalists, arguing
that the intentions of the individual should not determine the economic fate of society. Smith
The Amish Religious Subcultures
There are many religious cultures, and within those cultures, there are subcultures. Subcultures are a
cultural group within a larger group that branched off and have different interests and beliefs than
those of the larger group. The Amish, Mormon and the Jehovah Witnesses are among the strangest
subcultures because their beliefs separate these subcultures from any other Christian denomination.
The Amish are one subculture that has certain beliefs that separate them from other Christian
denominations. The Bible influences their idea of the way they should dress; Therefore they
believe that modesty is humility and what they wear helps display their faith. Amish men and
boys only wear dark solid color clothing with cut vest jackets. They do not wear belts, buttons,
and jewelry because of its flashy appearance and boastfulness it displays. Females of the Amish
community are to wear calf length solid color dresses with either a black or white aprons. On
their heads, they have to wear prayer caps. These prayer caps allow the women to pray whenever
they want to, because they are not allowed to pray by men without it. Amish women are never to
cut their hair and the Amish men do not grow their hair out; however, they can grow facial hair once
they get married. There are many rules on what the Amish can and cannot wear . Modesty is great,
however to that extent other Christians will disagree. Other Christians believe that no matter what
you wear, God will not love you less.

A Brief Look at World War II
World War II World War II was the largest war and the bloodiest war that the U.S. has ever been
involved in. Forty to Fifty million people lost their lives during World War II. This was a war that
lasted for about six years and involved countries from around the whole world. The axis powers
in the war consisted of Germany, Italy, and Japan. The Allie powers consisted of the United
States, France, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and to a lesser extent, China. It is said that
unsettled disputes from the first world war, World War I, is what was the main cause of WWII.
Japan trained men for the war starting at the age of nine years old. It is said that of all the Soviet
men that were born in the year 1923, only twenty percent survived the war. This means eighty
percent of all males died in the war. That s from one country, imagine how many innocent lives
were taken during the war. All because of one man, Adolf Hitler. The war stemmed off in early
1939 when German dictator Adolf Hitler had intentions of invading Poland. Poland knew about
this, so they went to France and Britain for an alliance should Germany invade them. When
Germany heard about this, they decided it would be good to take out the Soviets because they didn
t know if they would fight on Poland s side or not. On August 23, 1939, Germany and the Soviets
signed the German Soviet Nonaggression pact. This stated that once Poland was taken over, the
country would be divided evenly between the two power countries.
The Cunningic Character Traits Of Odysseus
I think the one heroic character trait that fits Odysseus best is cunning . There are many stories
from The Wanderings that shows just how cunning Odysseus is; from tricking monsters like the
cyclops, to pretending to be a beggar so he could reclaim his kingdom. Some of these stories may
not sound like much but without Odysseus s cunning trait things would have ended up completely
different. If Odysseus didn t have his cunning trait he wouldn t have been able to trick the suitors
into thinking he was a beggar, but because Odysseus is such a cunning hero he is able to have much
more power than others. One great example to show just how cunning Odysseus is, is the story
about the cyclops, who had planned to eat Odysseus and his shipmates. One of the ideas that
Odysseus had to get rid of the cyclops was to have him drink so much wine that he wouldn t be
able to focus and so he could be knocked out. Tricking the cyclops gave Odysseus and his
shipmates another chance to get away from the cyclops. A piece of evidence from the cyclops
story that shows Odysseus s cunning trait is a quote from the story, it says My moment was at
hand, and I went forward holding an ivy bowl of my dark drink, this quote shows Odysseus s idea
of giving the cyclops the wine so he would be knocked out and so Odysseus could have a better
chance at killing him and getting away. Another very interesting story that showed Odysseus s
cunning trait is the story of The Cattle of the SunGod. Odysseus
