The Scarlet Letter
Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking despite the consequences that may
transpire from performing the action. In today s society we tend to look at the easiest way to
complete a task or the easiest way to make money despite employing the use of integrity. Your value
of integrity typically portrays what type of person you are. The people you social with have an
immense impact on your value of integrity. Integrity is the value you put on life, which is typically
determined by the people you surround yourself with and portrays the type of person you are to
others. During the course of ones lifetime you will encounter many situations in which you will be
faced to make the right choice or the wrong one. The choice that you decide to make reflects the
value you put on integrity. For instance, in the article Ex Harvard student accused of living a lie, we
read about a student who is being accused of submitting false SAT scores, recommendation letters,
and grades to Harvard. Adam Wheeler desperately wanted to gain admission into one of the country
best schools, Harvard University. Wheeler knew that to gain admission into the school that he would
have to have near perfect grades. Wheeler truly lacks integrity by summiting false SAT scores,
recommendation letters, and grades to Harvard. He is taking advantage of many other students who
had worked so hard throughout their education. If it were not for James Simpson, Wheeler could
have gained admission into
The Color White Analysis
The color white has many meanings ranging from innocence to light. For weddings, a white dress
means purity while a white piece of paper means a clean slate. All of the meanings seems far fetch
to the people who consider themselves indecent even if they want to change. In this play Willie fits
into this group of people. The blank paper appears several times in the dialogue which shows that it
has some significance to Willie. She evens compares the sky to to colorof a clean piece of paper
(1090). Willie s life is no where near fitting for a thirteen year old, and she maybe rethinking her
past while talking to Tom about her time in school. She tells Tom about how Miss Preston would
give Willie the paper and tell her, Draw what you please! (1089).... Show more content on

The doll is falling apart do to age or neglect (1083). Willie is telling Tom all of these wonderful
stories about her inherited beaux and Alva while holding the doll. Everything seems innocent,
but there is a hidden meaning behind the her doll. Williams describes Willie as childlike and
laughing randomly while resembling a doll with her makeup (1083). Willie tells Tom that she is
worried about washing the dolls hair because of the doll s compound fracture (1088). She says, I
think that most of her brains spilled out. She s been acting silly ever since. Saying an doing the
most outrageous things (1088). The doll s compound fracture and brains spilling out represents
Willie after losing her parents and sister while now being homeless. Spilling brains can make a
person go crazy and so can losing all of their family members like Willie. She evens refers herself
as being peculiar to Tom in the beginning of their conversation (1082). Since her parents are gone,
Willie looks up to Alva instead. She learns to sleep with men from her sister which is an
outrageous thing to do for a thirteen year old. Although she is talking to her doll in the dialogue,
Willie is speaking of herself. The doll resembles Willie in some ways. She still tries to convince
Tom that her life can be extravagant, but the doll is showing
August Rush Short Story
Hello, Darling.
The dogs came first, their short muscular bodies scudding along the pavement like torpedoes.
Behind them came the Brothers and their men, followed by the girl and the fat woman. Alone, they
would be invisible or abused; together, and with the panting dogs as their messengers, they wielded
their difference like a weapon. The crowd parted instinctively, creating an ever widening space for
their passage.
Jen hung back, keeping close to the buildings. Most of the street people were harmless, but Joseph
and Daniel Avery were dangerous; catch their eye, come into their orbit, and they would make you
their victim. Mirror images of each other, they stalked the streets like warlords, their dogs always by
their side, their gang of sycophants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of them were well kept, gaudy paint fresh, brass fittings shining, flowers in pots on the deck,
but some of then looked neglected, and squatted low in the water, as though mourning their lost
brilliance. There was a kitchen chair lying on its side on one of them. The man had been sitting on
a chair much like that, she recalled, shoulders slumped, hands dangling between spread thighs, but
he d straightened up and his face had brightened when she d looked at him, as if he d recognised
her and she was important to him. She stooped to look through the window, and a dog hurled itself at
her shadow, barking hysterically. Others joined in; it sounded as if they had turned on each other.
She backed away, imagining their snapping jaws, their flat arrow shaped skulls and dead eyes, and
ran back along the path and up the steps to the
Examination And Examination Of The Anterior Cruciate Ligament
Health History: A 25 year old male injured his left knee in a recent skiing accident. The patient
stated that he lost his balance because the inner edge of his right ski got caught while skiing. This
resulted in the right leg being externally rotated followed by and audible pop as he lost footing. By
evening, the right kneejoint had become swollen, causing intense pain. The primary care physician
referred the case to an orthopedist.
Presentation and Examination: The knee anterior drawer test is a commonly used during orthopedic
examinations to evaluate the integrity of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The test is conducted
with the patient supine; hips and knees are flexed at a 45 and 90 degree angles with feet flat on the
table. While holding the calf distal to the knee joint pulling suddenly away from the patient tests the
anterior drawer while pushing back tests the posterior drawer. In this case, the positive anterior
drawer test indicated ACL damage.
Diagnosis: Results from the orthopedic exam indicated two torn ligaments. The medial collateral
ligament (MCL), which originates at the medial femoral epicondyle and inserts at the periosteum of
proximal tibia, deep to the pes anserine and the ACL which originates on the Lateral wall of the
intercondylar notch at its posterior aspect and inserts at the anterior aspect of the tibial plateau
between the tibial eminences. As well, a medial meniscal injury was considered likely.

My Horse-Personal Narrative
As I inhaled I could feel the fresh air running into my lungs. I could smell the horses surrounding
me. I could feel the gentle, forgiving breath of my horse ever so slightly ease into my hand. It was
a cold show morning at the barn. I tacked up my horse. Then I slipped the bridle over my horse s
ears and stepped out into the rising sun of the dawn. As I swung into the saddle, I could tell that the
show was going to be fantastic!
I trotted up into the dressage arena. As I trotted up the hill I could feel my horse lunging forward,
every move so elegant and powerful. I trotted into the dressage when I heard the bell. Before I
knew it, I was getting my feedback from the dressage judge. Next I had showjumping! When I got to
the arena the sun had
Graphic Design And Visual Arts
Graphic design and Visual arts are two different artistic fields. The field of Graphic design, which is
responsible for creating solutions that, has a high visual impact. The role involves listening to clients
and understanding their needs before making design decisions. Designs by graphic designers are
required for huge variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines,
posters, computer games/video games, product packaging, exhibitions and displays. Visual artson the
other hand are art forms such as ceramic, drawing, painting, sculptures and photography and
architecture. The difference in visual arts and graphic designis that many people do not think of
graphic designers as being artist and they should only be referred to as designers. Visual Arts
People, argue that designing is a skill and art is a God given gift. Graphic design majors are artist
because it takes talent to do what they do; it takes hard work to create complex graphics. They
have to come up with a design by sketching it out. Then graphic designers have to bring their art to
life using the computer. Both visual artist and graphic designers have a passion for art. They are
both creative professions to pursue. Some people argue that Visual Art people are more hands on
with their work; they use a lot of physical ability to do their art. Graphic designers use technology
to do more of their art. They use objects such as images, symbols, and words to complete
