Data And Data Flow Documentation
The first improvement suggested is regarding data and data flow documentation. There are three
oracle databases used as the database platform for some of the transaction applications and for the
customer facing online portal. Additionally, the asset management and financial applications are
customized off the shelf applications. The development strategy in place is to develop the majority
of the applications in house. These applications are used internally by users within the lines of
business. Development can be in the form of databasestored procedures. Data integration processes
were developed to load the data from the asset management application into the oracle databases and
from the oracle databases back to the asset... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A new job for data movement is created instead of modifying an existing job to reduce the risk of
an incident. How the jobs work is known by some of the senior developers. There is minimal
documentation to provide to new employees to reduce the time required to understand the data flow.
New tables and fields to support new application functionality or enhancements are requested by
developers and added to the oracle databases. Duplicate fields are created for the same data element
in the database as a result of developers working on similar subject areas. A new field is created
because there is no central repository documenting existing data elements. The same data element
exists in duplicate fields and updated by multiple applications. Materialized views created from one
database to another include logic to modify data due to an application requirement. Developers must
review the code in the views due to the lack of documentation in a central repository. In some cases,
a new materialized view is created for the same data set. A major challenge in loading the new data
warehouse is identifying the correct tables and fields to use as the source of the loads. The extract
transformation and load code (ETL) to load the data into the new analytics database cannot be
developed until all tables and fields impacting timelines.

The Pros And Cons Of Animal Experimentation
Studies published in prestigious medical journals have shown time and again that animal
experimenters are often wasting lives both animal and human and precious resources by trying to
infect animals with diseases that they would never normally contract (Animal Rights). This
upsetting fact could be prevented if laws were passed to end animal testing. Animal experimentation
should be made illegal because innocent animals are being harmed and or killed daily, medicines do
not have the same effect on animals as they do people, and animal experimentation is expensive.
To get a better understanding as to why animal experimentation should be illegal, one must consider
the opposition. Many argue that making animal experimentation illegal will negatively effect the
way further physicians are trained. However, alternative options could be taken in order to train
rising physicians. According to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, nearly 95 percent of
U.S. medical schools [...] do not use any animals to train medical students [...] ( Animal Testing Is ).
Most schools have proven to be able to train students that want to pursue a future job in the medical
field, without having to use animals throughout their teachings.
One reason why animal experimentation should be illegal is because innocent animals are being
caused terrible pain and killed daily. According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible
Medicine, the number of animals being tested on in the United States is

for storing and retrieving information 1.1 Explain the purpose of storing and retrieving required
information The main purpose of storing information is for easy retrieval in the future when it is
required. Storing certain information may be part of company policy. There will be procedures in
place in order to make sure files are stored correctly and in line with data protection. Depending on
the type of information, information can be stored in either filing cabinets or electronically.
Depending on the nature of the business, different types of information will have to be stored, for

Andrew Jackson Was An Influential President
According to Andrew Jackson, It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the
acts of government to their own selfish purposes . Jackson believed that the rich were using their
position of power to become wealthy. Jackson s main goal during his presidency was to shift the
power from the rich overpowering leaders to the more common people. He believed that the
common people would do a better job at running the government and he wanted the voices of the
people to be heard. Jackson was a debated president during his presidency however he did many
influential things that was important to the overall benefit of the country. Even though he set up the
Trail of Tears that forced many Native Americans from their homes ,Andrew Jacksonwas an
influential president because he destroyed the national bank which ultimately saved our country
from debt and he was instrumental in the acquisition of Florida. Andrew Jackson continues to prove
that he was an influential President because the things he did when he was president continue to
benefit United Statesto this day.
Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. Jackson was born on March 15,

My First Vacation Destination
In the summer of 2016 my family and I took a 2 week vacation to a couple different locations we
all wanted to visit. We decided to drive to our first destination, which was a 13 hour drive! On the
way to our first destination, we stopped in Athens, Alabama to stay the night and aquire some grub.
We were able to eat some dinner while we were at the hotel and we ordered the most incomparable
pizzaever! The pizza place s name was Joe s Pizza The owner s name is Joe and has multiple
Guinness World Records for his pizza making skills. All the pizzas are hand made and put into a
brick pizza oven to accommodate just the right doneness and taste. Then after that mouthwatering
night in Athens, Alabama we decided to drive on and continue to our first vacation destination.
After a couple restroom breaks and some lunch we finally arrived at Splash Resort in Panama
City, Florida! The ocean was breathtaking and as magnificent as ever it was one of those how can
anything be so beautiful kind of things. It just made me speechless, the water was perfect, the air
was warm, and I just wanted to jump right in and start swimming in the water. While in Panama
City we did a couple different activities. Some of which included, obviously going to the beach for
a couple of days.
The we went to the Ripley s Believe it or Not Museum. (As a matter of fact I really enjoy their
book they put out every year!) Which was quite interesting if I do say myself. There were some

received the award in 1997 and Office Depot, Inc. in 1998, Staples, Inc. clearly has a competence
advantage among its competitors. Therefore, the company s customer service is another
distinctive competence. Weaknesses A major weakness for Staples, Inc. is their high dependence
on the North American Market. Since the North American Market has weakened due to the
regression the company s dependence could prove to be rather damaging. For the fiscal quarter
ended Aug. 2, 2008, the Framingham, Mass., office supplies retailer said sales grew about 3%
from a year ago while its earnings per share decreased about 15% (Hinton, 2008). Staples, Inc. has
been involved in many legal issues which is another weakness. Most recently Staples, Inc. reached
a settlement in wage and hour class action lawsuits. Staples, Inc. announced that it has reached a
global settlement in several retail wage and hour class action lawsuits related to the alleged
misclassification of its assistant store managers concerning overtime pay. According to a former
assistant manager, who worked with the company from December 2003 to October 2005, the
Assistant Managers were working 50 hour work weeks, with 1 hour lunch breaks (Steward, 2010).
This amounted to 5 overtime hours per week that they weren t getting paid for. Under the terms of
the global settlement, which is subject to court approval, the Company has agreed to pay $42

David B. Truman Lobby Groups Essay
Lobby Groups

In this comparison between David B. Truman and V.O. Key, Jr. s views on lobby groups they have
different interpretations on role and interaction of these groups in government. In a democratic
system there is bound to be resentment and desire for change because it is impossible to satisfy
everybody. Truman and Key describe how those individuals try to be recognized while forming
groups for strength in numbers . In the comparison of interest and pressure groups it is apparent that
although they created resentment in the inner layers of government, they were necessary to the
development and progress of the political system.

According to David B. Truman in the excerpt from The Governmental Process he demonstrates ...

Truman states that the National Government and the State Legislatures take notice when the
interest groups consolidate and tend to accept compromises over common goals. When they are
verified of an increasing amount of support for a particular policy or deceit against it, they
usually take action. In this manner, the interest groups are beneficial to the government because
their opinions were created by an individual and therefore they give the government a greater
ability to facilitate the lifestyle of their citizens. The interest groups can be very misleading in
their size because of their pressure to convert and convince impressionable people. Truman
believes that the formation of interest groups and political parties was inevitable because we
offered elections as a means of representation and also in a large, complex, diverse society there will
always be people who are longing for change.

From this section of Truman s work it shows that lobby groups were helpful in modifying the
National Government to perform at a more responsive level. The Government could not have
survived based solely on the impact of interest groups. They survived and thrived for power in a
symbiotic relationship benefiting both groups.

Even if the political parties are added to the list, the result could properly be designated as a view
which seems hardly compatible with the relative stability of
Critical Analysis Of Schubert s Erlknig
Franz Schubert was born in Vienna, Austria in 1797. Growing up Schubert learnt to play piano,
violin and viola. As well as being gifted with the ability of these instruments, his voice earned him
admittance to the Imperial Chapel choir school. [2] This is where he developed his theory and
compositional ability. When Schubert passed away in 1828 he left behind over 600 lieder (German
art songs), 9 symphonies, 15 string quartets, and hundreds of other different genres of pieces,
including operas, masses, and pianoworks. [3] one of these works is Erlkönig .

The purpose of this essay is to examine Schubert s lied, Erlkönig and evaluate how he portrayed
several distinct characters with the aid of musical elements and compositional devices. As well as
demonstrate, with findings through analysis and evaluation how the interpretive responsibility in
Schubert s lied is equally shared between the voice and the piano.

Erlkönig is a lied, this is a type of German song, especially of the Romantic period, typically for
solo voice with piano accompaniment. [4] This art song originates from a Danish Ballad called
The story of the Erlkönig. An art song is a piece that translates the mood and imagery of a poem
for a solo piano and voice into music, this was common for the Romantic period. Schubert s piano,
voice piece, Erlkönig , originated from a poem written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This poem

Design issues As like any other building the design of the Empire State building is prone to bad
design. A bad design could pose a major risk as any miscalculation or oversight would mean that
its structure may not be able to handle the stress and enormous loads. Design may show low
probability but will have very high impact if the building comes crashing down. The Empire State
Building was the first commercial construction project to employ the technique of fast track
construction, a commonplace approach today but very new in the early 20th Century. This
technique consists of starting the construction process before the designs are fully completed in
order to reduce delays and inflation costs. In this case, it was imperative to use the fast track
construction method to win the race for the tallest building (2). Force majeure By definition, force
majeure is a superior force , also known as cas fortuit (French) or casus fortuitus (Latin) chance
occurrence, unavoidable accident (11). Force majeure may be repeated heavy hail, or an
earthquake, or a hurricane. The building is intended to stand for some years should be able to meet
these challenges. A flexible structure may avoid destruction in an earthquake, while a more solid
building with good masonry would be destroyed. Earthquakes can also result in foundation problems
when moist filled land liquefies (13). The Empire State
Cost Benefit Analysis ( Cba )
1.Introduction

In the recent years, Cost benefit Analysis (CBA) has been connected to different ranges of
strategies and tasks. Indeed, with research of CBA was conducted into two wide areas of work. One
area which undertaken to defined the technical economic reasons for supporting CBA and then again
there are studies which completes empirical evaluations over the performance of test of CBA.

For every business and IT that has developed projects, they have to make good decision on whether
the projects will have costs and benefits and to determine it is important to supplement such as cost

2.Cost Benefit Analysis

Cost benefit analysis has been around for many years while serving a great purpose to any
business or IT due its wide range of innovative strategies. According to Levin and McEwan (2001,
p.14) Cost benefit analysis is a tool that evaluates to the assessment of choices as indicated by
their costs and benefits when each is measured in economic terms. However Prest and Turvey
defined cost benefit analysis as a practical way of assessing the desirability of projects, where it is
important to take a long view (in sense of looking at repercussions in the further, as well as the
nearer, future) and a wide view (in the sense of allowing for side effects of many kinds of many
persons, industries, regions, etc.) i.e it implies the enumerations and evaluation of all the relevant
costs and benefits .

The aim of CBA is to put a monetary values on the benefit anticipated from the project and
difference the costs which are relied upon to
Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS)
Hutchinson Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) is a rare autosomal genetic disorder which causes
a uniformly fatal human disease characterized by rapid laminopathy based premature aging and
degeneration of vascular smooth muscles1,2. This disease is caused by a G608G point mutation in
LMNfA gene which encodes the filament protein lamin A, a major component of the nuclear
lamina1. The mutation leads to a series of aberrations in splicing of LMNA mRNA which instead
produces a truncated version of lamin A protein, called progerine 1. Lamin A protein itself undergoes
posttranslational processing which converts farnesyl prelamin A to mature lamin A3. One of the
crucial stages in processing of lamin A is endoproteolytic processing mediated by the... Show more

This study tested this therapeutic tool experimentally by crossing Zmpste24 / with Suv39h1 / which
produced compound mutant mice. Suv39h1 loss not only resulted in extended lifespan of the mice,
but also it ameliorated and increased medial survival, body size, and body weight compared to those
with Zmpste24 / 4.
This study makes notable contributions to the field of laminopathy based diseases because it, for
the first time, demonstrated that lamin A and Suv39h1interact with each other which suggests a
regulatory role for lamin A. It is unclear, however, which part of lamin A interacts with Suv39h1,
which could be an area where further research could be done. In terms of the therapeutic strategy
proposed, the therapy could be extended to other species and potentially human kind to see if
knocking Suv39h1expands their life span. This is an area in which this study could be extended in
clinical context. Moreover, the details of how disruption in genome maintenance results in rapid
aging and senescence could be provided in a further study into the context of laminopathy based
Progress— A Word That Has Become More Than Familiar,...
Progress a word that has become more than familiar, especially to those living in the twenty first
century. In the past few decades, humans have advanced in every aspect of their lives. However, in
any situation, there are two sides to a coin. Progress and advancement both have their downsides,
and, unfortunately, in some cases, the negatives far outweigh the positives. One such case is
obvious nuclear weapons. This subject did not stay untouched by the film industry, and out of the
threat of nuclear weapons came out a monster Godzilla (Gojira). In the introduction of Japan s

Beginning with the Cuban Missile Crisis, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the
detonation of the Tsar Bomba, nuclear weapons and competition between rival countries have
always been taking place. According to Brothers, Godzilla is, in a way, a symbol of man s
tampering with science and atomic and nuclear power. The writer further asserts that without the
bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it is highly unlikely that Godzilla would have been created.
The monster s actions, according to him, are a direct representation of the suffering the Japanese
people had to go through, and the message the movie carries is more relevant than it ever was. In
fact, according to the former United States Secretary of Defense, William J. Perry, today s
nuclear dangers [...] are in fact more likely to erupt into a nuclear conflict than during the Cold
War. With an unqualified and arrogant egomaniac running the world s most powerful country, the
threat of a nuclear war remains a possibility. The relations between the U.S. and Russia are it its
worst since the Cold War ended; things could get much worse as President Trump painfully (for
the people) gets through his four years in office. If a nuclear war does take place, Godzilla will be
just as relevant as it was following the tragic events of 1945. This
