Breastfeeding Limitations
It has been challenging to rate the strength of breastfeeding research due to the inconsistency of
definitions related to breastfeeding (such as the exclusivity, frequency, intensity and duration) and
inability to conduct randomized controlled trials, which would be deemed unethical. Despite the
inability to obtain high quality evidence due to practical limitations, meta analyses continue to
indicate that breastfeedingis associated with an increase of health benefits to both mothers and
infants.

The well established health benefits for infants include, a reduced risk for gastrointestinal infections,
respiratory infections, and otis media. Long term, but less established effects of individuals that were
not breastfed, have an increased risk
Colonization On Mars
Mankind is destined to step beyond his earthly bonds just as his ancestors once crawled out of the
seas. Colonizing new worlds... the race will survive Charles Sheldon (AZ Quotes 1) Mars is the
next step in pursuing a new frontier for man to explore. The journey is dangerous and costly and
people who oppose, believe man should not risk their lives, but this is what human beings are best
for, pursuing our dreams no matter the risks that are involved. Creating a settlement on Marsis not a
question of if, when, or why, humans are going soon and we know why, but it is a question of how
will we colonize the red planet. In 2011, Nasacancelled their shuttle missions and stated they will
only be sending robots to the moonand to Mars. However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Bas Lansdorp, CEO of MarsOne, plans to send a manned mission to Mars in 2023 with preceding
supply missions beginning in 2018 (Williams 9). A registration period three years ago yielded
200,000 participants. From that, MarsOne selected 100 for a lottery drawing which will choose
the 24 who will be assigned to the first Moore 4 six colonist missions being sent to Mars (Fox
News 1 2). MarsOne will control the missions with their team of engineers but will utilize other
private companies for the hardware for the mission, such as rockets and space capsules. Elon
Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla, has said that he will provide rockets for MarsOne to use for
their missions (Williams 10). The goal of MarsOne is to create a permanent settlement on Mars
for a low cost. In order to reduce the cost, Lansdorp has said he wants to send one way missions so
they do not have to worry about return missions and sending extra fuel and rockets. However,
scientists believe that we do not have to completely give up on bringing the colonists back to Earth.
As the colony matures, return missions will become much easier to carry out and as technology
advances it will become much less complex as well (Fox News
Human Nature Of Humanity
Jane Addams once said, The good we secure for ourselves is precarious and uncertain until it is
secured for all of us and incorporated into our common life. The same can be said for humanity.
Evidence from history supports the concept that inhumane actions are contagious, and for this reason
compassion and humanity can not be practiced in parts. Practicing humanity and compassion
selectively or in parts creates an inhumane world. Humans must learn to be kind and take care of
each other before much else beneficial can be accomplished. Universal humanity insures that all
human beings do not have to worry about becoming victim to inhumane actions and violence.
Imagine, women, children, and men victims of inhumanity and violence. In order for humanity and
compassion to be of any true importance, humanity and compassion must be universal. History tells
many stories of greed, entitlement, and moral failure. In addition, history also paints the picture of
some horrific effects of selective humanity. One example from history that paints this picture is the
VietnamWar. At the time of the Vietnam War, the United Stateswas humane, and aside from civil
displays of disapproval for the war, the people were at peace. There was no war on our home
land, and there were no invasions orand overthrows of our government. These actions were
overseas, but the inhumane and violent reality of Vietnam became reality for even the most
compassionate Americans. The draft was the solution to the desperate war efforts during
Vietnam, and was what sealed the fate of thousands of Americans. Draftees accounted for roughly
30.4% (17,725) of combat deaths in Vietnam (World History Project, USA). These individuals
were every day men. Butchers, bakers, and even candle stick makers, not soldiers. They did not
join on their own free will because war was a foreign affair that did not interest many draftees.
Their number was called, luck of the draw, and just like that these butchers, bakers, and even
candle stick makers, were off to fight a bloody battle in a foreign country that was full of hate, and
violence. The war not only took good hearted men and put them in a position to hurt and kill others,
the war also disrupted the civil peace
An Ideological Level, James Sets Up Two Systems Essay
On an ideological level, James sets up two systems: the modern sexual emancipator represented in
Olive, and the radical conservative represented in Basil. Verena has to choose between them. Basil
considers that Olive s views about women s liberation are inanities she is not sure of their meanings:
the inanities she uttered ─ the rights and wrongs of women, the equality of the sexes, the hysterics
of conventions, the further stultification of the suffrage, the prospect of conscript mothers in the
national Senate. It made no difference; she didn t mean it; she didn t know what she meant, she had
been stuffed with this trash by her father, and she was neither more nor less willing to say it than to
say anything else (James, Bostonians 62).
Basil s masculinity and his indifference towards feminist ideals constantly always annoys Olive
Chancellor who accuses him of bieng the stiffest of conservatives whose minds were steeled against
women.
The female struggle against patriarchy is not confined to Olive and Verena but the other minor
characters fill out the picture of the Bostonian feminist society. Miss Birdseye is a very elderly
feminine activist from a previous generation. Though she is a feminist, she is different from Olive.
She represents the reasonable voice of feminism: She seemed ... a multitude of socialistic figures of
names and episodes ... She looked as if she had spent her entire life on platforms, in audiences, in
conventions, in phalansteries, in séances
The Shortage Of Nursing Professional
The shortage of nursing professional has been an ongoing crisis in many countries for the past
decade. A number of countries, including the USA, have been working hard to increase the
number of registered nurses in an attempt to rectify the situation and its possible impact on the
health care system (CHAN, TAM, WONG, 2013). The two main places that are effected by the
shortage significantly are the hospitals and long term care facilities. Some causes due to staff
shortage are stressful work environments, less staff to care for patients, longer wait times, more
patients prone to falling. Some solution to these problems are hiring more temporary staff to fill
vacancies, and improving the work environment. Being short staff is a very serious problem
because it lead to a patient not being properly cared for. Also a patient hurting themselves because
they are trying to do something on their own because they refuse to wait any longer for help. Some
examples of short staff in a hospitalsetting is patients having to wait on trolleys in corridors,
chronic bed shortage, children being treated on adult wards, too few staff caring for patients
overnight(Campbell 2014). Lack of beds is leading to many patients who need medical care being
treated on surgical wards where staff aren t well trained. Some examples of short staff in a long
term care facilities are patient waiting to have their call bells answered. Low staffing levels leading
to more elderly people falling which presents a
Satire In Lysistrata
Satire, Sex and the Role of Women in Ancient Greece
Aristophanes comedy, Lysistrata, uses satire to show the issue of war between ancient Greek
cities and uses women and sex as a weapon to explain the futility of war. Aristophanes was a
playwright, landowner and political representative in Athens born around 450 BCE. He is
considered by many to be like Father of Ancient Comedy. All of Aristophanes comedies show
commentary on the contemporary society and the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta.
The comedy that I will be analyzing today, Lysistrata, was produced in 411 BCE and involves a sex
strike to end the war. In this essay, I will show how Lysistrata reflects and satirizes the dominance of
males in Athenian society, show how the convention of cross dressing conveys the message of male
dominance and speculate how an Athenian society might have responded to men dressed as women
outsmarting men. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An Athenian women s place revolved primarily around their home and family. In one of the episodes,
we see Kinesias yelling at his wife Myrrhine You know you ve let our house, your things and mine,
become an utter mess... it doesn t bother you that the hens are pulling your woolens apart?
(Episode Lines 76, 78). Athenian women rarely had a social life and were only allowed out into
the public sphere of activity for ritual. Within Lysistrata, we see satire used by other women
characters to explain their cultural norms. When Kinesias tries to use the image of their sad baby to
keep Myrrhine from leaving without having sex, Myrrhine humorously cries out How momentous is
motherhood! I ve got no choice but to go down there. (Episode Lines 63
Roman Ruins
Rome is one of the brilliant empires of the past, one of which left behind numerous ruins in their fall.
Though Italy contains the majority of Roman ruins Spain is the go to for Roman ruins. The ruins in
Spain are must see because of the unique ruins there, history of their uses, and the different cultures
that existed there. To begin with, the Roman Empirewas vast and had territory across Europe and
more, but in Spain many one of a kind structures were built which have since outlived their uses
and become ruins. For instance, The Alhambra is a famous ruin and unique because it is of its
history and importance to Spain. The article Why take the time to visit Alhambra Spain by Janet
Connors she states, The Alhambra has plenty of history to attract tourists, but it s importance to
Spain is much more profound. The history makes it a place like no other. This is because of its
rich history and influence to Spain as a whole. In another article The Resilient Roman Ruins of
Spain this time by Ryan Howland, he lists some unique ruins like The Aqueduct in Segovia, The
City of Merida, and Italica. Though those are only a few they are some of the amazing and... Show

City of Three Cultures because of its ruins Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures. The ruins in
Spain show the panning coexistence of those three cultures displaying a history only found in
Spain. Visiting these ruins in Spain will allow you to see the history of Spain s culture. Another
example of various cultures in Spain is the Alhambra when she states It provides an example of the
many different cultures and people who have ruled the lands of Spain throughout history . The
Alhambra was ruled by the Muslims as a palace and then the Christians as a court. The Alhambra in
Spain and Toledo as displays the many cultures that existed
Ontological Argument Against Anselm
Does God exist? According to Anselm of Canterbury of course God exists, and he is able to
explain how that is to be. Anselm uses the ontological argument to essentially state that the only
way for a perfect creator, God, to be even greater would to exist in reality as opposed to thought,
and thus, God exists. This logic is argued against by many philosophers throughout time, most
notably by a fellow Benedictine monk, Gaunilo. Gaunilo uses the same logic in reference to the
most perfect island and shows the flaws to Anselm s logic. Gaunilo criticizes against Anselm s view
on how to confirm the existenceof God using the same method in a form of reductio ad absurdum.
In this case the example of a perfect island is utilized. One may dream or
Antigua Guatemala
The making of Guatemala s beautiful hand made rugs start in easter week sometime between March
and April. (March 22 April 23). Antigua Guatemala hosts the most beautiful religious celebration
world wide, when huge festivals take place on the town s streets, celebration begins on Ash
Wednesday ( March 1st) also known as the first day of lent.
The women of Guatemala put many hours into these rugs and they add many different colors, and
various patterns. During Easter week hundreds of men are there wearing purple robes carrying all
kinds of replicas and statues of Jesus and walk carrying crosses sort of how God would have done.
Spirit Week and Easter Week are similar traditions asher except the purple robed men carrying
crosses and replicas of Jesus to the female all dresses in black following a float of mother Mary,
moving slowly through a procession and walking barefoot on the cushion of the carpets, which are
destroyed as the procession passes over. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of Equus By Peter Shaffer
Consciousness can be defined as one s awareness of their actions, thoughts, or surroundings. It is
the ability to understand things beyond our eyes. And what I mean by that is one can see things
through their eyes, but consciousness allows one to comprehend it on a deeper level. It leads to
how we behave, how we function. The definition of community when I google it, is a group of
people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. I would describe
community as a group of people who have common goals, thoughts, or interests. In IGE 120, the
course theme is consciousness and community, which is why I chose to define them before going
into further depth. Consciousness and community are themes that reoccur in... Show more content on

from happening, he blinded the horses so they would not watch him any longer. Alan being

Herbert Mason. Gilgamesh s arrogance led him on a journey that he wasn t quite prepared for,
knowing that it might lead to death. Gilgamesh tells his friend, Enkidu, Why are you worried

Dysart is conscious of his life but he isn t happy about it. This leads him to be envy of Alan and
makes him question if his career is humane. He believes that as a psychiatrist, he is taking away

Fleming s Experiments
The Stone Lab facility on Gibraltar Island shuddered as another collapse brought down the rest of
Flemings laboratory. The old castle had been smoldering for the better part of two weeks. Charred
wood sprouted flames, as buried embers found oxygen enough to produce fire once again.
Two of Flemings experiments remained in their glass enclosure. One lay on its table, pinned down
by some debris that had fallen during the initial collapse. On the table beside the destroyed creature
was its companion. Cold, gray flesh mingling with steel and computers, creating an undead cyborg.

A Study On Financial Derivatives With Special Reference Essay
A STUDY ON FINANCIAL DERIVATIVES WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO NIFTY F O

ABSTRACT

Derivatives are the contracts whose value is derived from the value of some underlying assets such
as equities, commodities or currencies. These contracts helps the investor to reduce the risk of
wearing down of his investments. The application of derivatives can be observed as an opportunity to
transfer the risk from the person who wish to ignore it, to the person who is ready to accept it i.e.
risk management hedging through derivatives. In an environment, in which portfolio managers are
pressured to beat the indices, need to protect the investment gains in their portfolios from financial
risk. Different hedging strategies can be formulated to meet the particular hedging requirements.
Various studies on the outcomes of future and option listing on the underlying asset (equity,
commodity, currency market) have been done with a

view to study potential of financial derivatives and intensification of derivatives as a hedging

A New Style of Narration in The French Lieutenant s Woman
Readers have not always considered the idea that they have the opportunity to choose the path of the
story they read. In The French Lieutenant s Woman, John Fowles revolutionizes the traditional art of
story telling by breaking away from certain aspects of the novel to introduce a whole other world of
fiction. The narratorplays a significant role, by providing insight into Victorian society, acting as a
character in the story and creating relationships with the characters, all of which breaks away from
the conventional role of the narrator and forces the reader to consider that she is an active
participant in the art of storytelling. Through the use of epigraphs and illustrations from the time
period, Fowles provides the readers... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fowles always offers his readers an experience that is parallel to and simultaneous with that of his
characters (Tarbox 96). Again, this quotation demonstrates the experience or relationship that Fowles
offers for his readers. Moreover, by using the technique of injecting personal experiences and
relatable stories, the readers are more likely to empathize and become emotionally attached with
characters, producing a strong relationship. It dreams [the novel] of consciousness that will produce
an extra narrative mode of understanding, making not new but more consciousness available to us,
more love, more freedom, more desire, more tolerance (Tarbox 93). Through using common human
occurrences, Fowles is giving the readers the same opportunity for choice and self discovery that he
gives his characters, so he is able to take the reader into a whole other world where it is hard to
differentiate between something they are imagining to be happening and something that actually did
happen.

By putting himself in his own story as a character, the narrator takes a step beyond his traditional
role to become a part of the character s worlds and act, as the characters would act. Being a
character, he is forced to accept that he does not know what the other
