Helmet Persuasive Essay
Introduction
Over the years, many motorcycle accidents have led to death. Some of these accidents could have
been prevented with the protection of a helmet in which many lives could have been saved. This
document proposes a review of how a helmet can help a motorcyclist or passenger in an accident
and why all states should require motorcyclists and passengers to wear helmets. The proposed
review will discuss the physical and mental principles behind the causes of wearing and not wearing
the helmet and what will change if the law is passed.

Justification of Proposed Review

Per mile driven, a motorcyclist is 16 times more likely to die in a crash than an automobile driver.
Wearing a motorcycle helmet reduces that risk by almost one third (29
The Three Main Factors Of The Determinants Of Job...
3.4 Determinants of job satisfaction Determinants of job satisfaction are various features of the job
environment and which are considered the causes of job satisfaction. These features include
characteristics of jobs and job tasks, as well as various aspects of the organization (Spector, 2000).
According to Spector (1997), determinants of job satisfaction can be classified into two major
categories; First, the job environment itself and factors associated with the job are important
influences on job satisfaction. This includes how people are treated, the nature of job tasks, relations
with other people in the workplace, and rewards. Second, there are individual factors that the person
brings to the job. This includes both personality and prior experiences; both categories of the
determinants often work together to influence employee job satisfaction. While Furnham (1992) and
Ting (1996, 1997) noted that despite the variety of variables suggested as having a major, minor or
moderating effects on job satisfaction, it is possible to divide these factors into three distinct groups
(1) Job characteristics, these included five sub variables: supervisory position, skill utilization,
satisfaction with pay, satisfaction with the tasks, and satisfaction with working conditions (2)
Organizational characteristics, these included two sub... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This classification is similar to the previous one; the author mixed between the job characteristics
and the organizational characteristics and put them in one factor (work situation). The individual
characteristics equal to the personality factor in the new classification. George and Jones (2000)
only added one new factor in this classification. It is the social influence. The study explains each of
them as
Being A Mortician Essay
Being a Mortician

The word mortician brings what images to mind? The career of a mortician is surprisingly different
than it is portraied in movies and books.
Being a mortician is a very rewarding job both personal as well as psychological to those with the
temperament, training and discipline required to do the job properly. In this paper I ll be reporting
the requirements to become a mortician, also called funeral director or undertaker, the duties the job
requires of you, and the outlook of this career in the future of the United
States.
To become a funeral director in the United States today isn t an easy task. You need to be twenty one,
a high school graduate with some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A lot of the time the mourners will vent their pent up anger on the funeral director and will blame
you for their problems. Some of time you ll need to deal with religions new to you and that seem
strange, but you ll have to be understanding and willing to let the mourners carry out their forms of
burial and mourning. In other words, can you handle a career that requires constant sensitivity to
needs and wants of other people?
One of the duties of a mortician is to embalm the corpse for show. quot;If the body is not to be buried
within twenty four hours, most communities require that it be embalmed quot;(IRN 6). After the
body is brought to the funeral home, you would see first of all that the body and hair are cleaned
and washed for embalming. A small incision is made at the base of the neck or in the groin to
secure access to a major artery or vein. quot; The object in embalming is to pump our the body
fluids, or blood, and to replace it with special long lasting chemicals which will keep the body
from decaying for a long period of time and which will prevent it from further disease or decay, if
death has been caused by a specific infectious disease. quot;(Lamers 420). Tubes are then inserted in
the artery or vein. The tube in this artery is connected to a mechanical pump that injects a
preservative and disinfectant solution into the blood
Myth Of Low Self-Esteem Case Study
1.Myth: People with high self esteem are smarter, more likeable, and more physically attractive than
people with low self esteem. Fact: There is strong correlation between self esteem and being smart,
likable, popular, and physically attractive, but this is true only for self ratings. There is no
correlation between self esteemand others rating of how likable, popular, and physically attractive
a person is, or with objective measures of intelligence. What s going on? People with high self
esteem believe all these things about themselves, but they are not true by objective standards. In
fact, people high in low in self esteem are equally likable and equal in physical attractiveness and
intelligence. My two cents: I am skeptical of the true... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Myth: Relationship are more likely to break up if a partner has low self esteem than if a partner
has high self esteem. Fact: Both high and low self esteem cause problems in relationships, so
esteem has little to do with who stays together or who breaks up. However, low self esteem does
cause some problems in relationships, such as often distrusting a partner s expressions of love
and support. My two cents: As someone who has been on both ends on this I would disagree.
Dating someone who had extreme self esteem problems had to be the worst thing I had to put up
with (I can handle a lot from a partner). They always doubted if they were good enough for me
because of that I had to compensate for their low self esteem and go above normal expectations in
how I treated him for instance, make sure I tell them at least every day that I loved them
otherwise they felt sad and guilted me. I felt like I was walking on egg shells because any joke or
sassy comment ( a big part of my personality) directed toward that ex boyfriend caused him to be
sad and upset. He would not go to my family functions with me because of his low self esteem. I
was not allowed to talk to other guys or he would block them on my phone because of his low self
esteem. Note, he did not do it to be controlling (aggressive) but he would manipulate things so he
would be the victim. Also, I did try for two years to get him to open up to me so I could help him,
either by talking him through it or just simply giving
East Is Red Film Analysis
Mao Ze Dong once said, A revolution is not a dinner party or doing embroidery (QuoteGram). In this
period when communism still ruled supreme in Mainland China, people joined the revolution and
became a true Communist. It is sung at the beginning of the documentary film of what happened
during the Cultural Revolution, Morning Sun, He is devoted to people s happiness. This line of
song shows that this new leader is going to fill the country with joy. Mao Ze Dong s appearance
during the stage of suffering had made him the role model during that time. As explained in the
film, East is Red is when everyone in China was at a period of transition from Nationalism in
which they were in sufferings of different class labels. It described that the Communist Party was
created to lead a revolution towards socialism . Mao then stepped into this revolution as the leader
of the country who tried to change the country s people with his unchangeable high standards. To
him, whatever he foresaw as the bright future could not be changed. However, his judgments were
not always as effective as expected. Mao s ideas promoted communismbut had contradictions within
them, which will be explained in detail below.
The documentary notes Li Rui, an exiled politician, was believed to be a reactionary even by his
own daughter, Li Nanyang. Due to his exile, he could see truths that everybody was not able to see.
Li Rui was someone who oversaw all the things that happened during the Cultural

naked is not just reserved for females. Men too, want to look good in all their glory. Manscaping
is a guy s version of getting neat and tidy. It will boost your confidence, leave a lasting, great
impression, and... highlight your assets. Now I m not talking about waxing your entire body
from head to toe, unless of course, you re into that sort of thing. No, I m talking about trimming a
little off the top (or bottom) so to speak. There s no harm in keeping things neat and tidy in the
nether regions. And just like the pubic area, you may want to trim your underarm hair as well.
And for those sporting hairy shoulders and backs, you might want to consider removing that all

Analysis Of The Poem The Gospel Of Wealth
Dagan Martinez Dr. Amanda Bruce AMH2020 26 September 2014 Comparison, Analysis, and
Criticism of Economic Ideals in the Gilded Age In his essay, The Gospel of Wealth, Andrew
Carnegie argues that the imbalance of economic wealth is essential to the advancement of society.
In days past, there was little difference between the quality of life between a ruler and his subject.
Alluding to a time when Carnegie visited the chief of an indigenous American tribe, he observed
that the Chief of the Indians , who lived in a state of antiquity, tent was no different from even the
poorest among the tribe. Returning back to this stage of civilization would be detrimental to both
the ruler and subject. Is it better for all of us to live in poverty than for a few of us to have riches?
Shouldn t those who prove themselves masters in art and literature and those of higher intelligence
have more than those with no talent? This is the way society is progressing. Whether or not one
actually believes that doesn t matter, as changing the destiny of civilization is beyond one s power.
(Carnegie, 28 29) It is better to improve society through the construction public foundations such as
museums and libraries rather than alms giving. Through alms giving, one encourages laziness and
vagrancy rather than integrity, and thus damages society. Through public structures, one provides
support for those who actually wish to succeed can rise in society. Those who are most deserving of
alms rarely need
Villains of All Nations
The Villains of All Nations is book written by Marcus Rediker that follows the origins of the pirate
boom before and after the War of Spanish Succession. The book covers infamous pirates like
Bartholomew Roberts, William Fly, and Edward Teach also known as Blackbeard. It discusses the
grim environment of working the seas for the government, what lead many people to turn to piracy,
the tale of the first women pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read, how piracy impacted slavery, the
pirates bonds of brotherhood under the Jolly Roger, and the events that lead to the death of the
pirate era itself. Many times the writing style of the book at time felt distracting, confusing, and even
frustrating. For example, whenever Rediker would refer to a quote... Show more content on

The brand of justice pirates toward vessels they captured was something I found fascinating. For
example, on page 88, the incident involving the capture of Captain Snelgraves vessel by the pirate
Thomas Cocklyn. Initially Snelgrave resisted Cocklyns takeover so as Cocklyns crew
overpowers Snelgraves and is taken by the pirates. Certain that Snelgrave will be killed or beaten
for resisting, Snelgraves crew comes to their captains defense thus Cocklyn sparring the
respected captains life. Because of the degree of respect Snelgraves had, Cocklyn not often
seeing a government captain holding such admiration from a crew offered him a new ship and
profits from a captured slave ship for his return to England. This story really caught my attention
because of the level of hospitality pirates show to a captain who held such respect with his own
crew. Putting myself in the the position of a sailor back in that time I can see why many were
attracted to the life of a pirate. The life of a sea faring man during the early 18th century was a
grueling way of work. Wages were low, decease was rampant, ships were cramped, and discipline
from officers was brutal, sometime murderous. The pirate life symbolized freedom and liberty and a
brotherhood that stood for being one for
