Stereotypes In High School
High school is full of a variety of types of people, who can all be labeled into certain groups or
stereotypes. High school can be an amazing time for people, just as easily as it could be a terrible
time for people. It s quite odd how everyone goes to the same school, and mostly attend the same
courses, yet they are significantly different from one another. Every school has the classic jocks,
nerds, partiers/stoners, etc., but it appears our generation has created several new stereotypes. With
students spending approximately 35 hours a week at school, it is easy for one another to label each
other, and determine who they fit in with.
The most common stereotype in Spring Lake is the Preppy Rich Kid. The Preppy part of these kids
is that they love to wear a perfectly matching outfit; including their colorful Polo Shirts/t shirts,
colorful short shorts, matching socks, with a matching pair of boat shoes/skate shoes. The Rich
part of these kids is that they live in a big house on the water, their parents have high paying jobs,
and their parents will buy them whatever they desire. These kids typically drive an expensive
foreign car, usually blaring rap music out of their car s subwoofer everyday to school. Once they
have arrived at school, most of them have a very enjoyable day. For the most part, they have a
perfect life, including getting all the girls/boys, receiving good grades, being attractive, and being a
phenomenal athlete. These kids are likable people, and
The Potential Majors Of The Belk Scholar s Program
Course Overview I found this course to be highly valuable in its efforts to provide insight on the
potential majors of the Belk Scholar s program. While there remain many questions about the
future path of the program, it did help to solidify both my understanding of the major options and
my personal decision. I am more confident now that the M.S. in Economics is the option I will
pursue. Throughout the course, with every new topic, I always found myself asking the
economic questions of each issue. Furthermore, I continue to find the subject matter to be
fascinating. Equally as beneficial as knowing which path I am leaning towards was learning
more about the other options. Prior to the class, I had an incomplete idea of what Mathematical
Finance is. As most people believe, I had taken it to be a field dedicated primarily to money and
how it is used. I now understand that this misconception ignores the core of the field; which is
risk. Our readings from Against the Gods were beneficial in building a foundation for the field of
Mathematical Finance. As was pointed out during class, the book was very dense, but it did an
excellent job in delivering complete information. I read some additional chapters on my own and
would have liked to have additional time during class to discuss other parts of the book. The last
of the degree options to discuss is the Data Science path. While we did not dedicate a portion of the
class solely to the data science field as we did with
The Principles of the Yin and Yang Essay
The Principles of the Yin and Yang

The principle of the yin and yang is embedded in all facets of my life. But its operations have taken
the subtlest of forms, unfolding through a kind of shy conspiracy, an inner dynamism in the nature
of things. Such qualities are inherent in the way Chinese traditions view things, as the web that has
no weaver, an intricate and interlaced patterns of relationships of all that there is without a known
creator and creation day. It is far different from a historical timeline or a linear logic. It surmises that
everything is related to everything else and lays heavy emphasis on what is now that must be
appreciated and contemplated upon rather than dwelling on the ... Show more content on

When we are conscious, we are awake and aware of internal and external stimuli, thus we are
actively adapting to the circumstances. While asleep, we are still, at ease and relaxed. The Repair
Theory of Sleep has very yin underpinnings, holding that sleep restores, replenishes and rebuild our
brains and bodies that are somehow worn out by day s working activities.

As I step into the world outside my room, I see a bigger picture with more yin and yang
relationships. The social structure is made up of opposing links and overlying relationships. In our
patriarchal society, men (yang) are expected to be the more dominant and influential in decision
making vis à vis women (yin) who are expected to be submissive and docile. Social constructs such
as genders have attached yang characteristics to men and yin characteristics to women creating a
gender tension between. Understandably, in ancient China women are expected to be hidden in their
homes, passive and contracting to give way for a man s active and expansive rule as culturally
dictated upon them. But in reality, men (yang) and women (yin) carries a certain degree of
femininity (yin) and masculinity (yang) respectively. A woman can be assertive and overpowering
and a man can be nurturing and gentle depending on the situation. In
Book Review Of The Movie The Jungle Book
The Jungle Book is a movie based on the story of a young boy named Mowgli who was found in
the Jungle by a panther named Bagheera. Bagheera found the boy the day his father lost his life to
a tiger named Shere Khan but before the tiger ended the man s life he was burned by the Red
Flower, man s creation known as fire. Bagheerahad taken Mowglito the animals he knew would
raise the young boy like their own and that was the wolves. Akeila was their Alpha and Raksha
was the only mother Mowgli knew. They raised the young boy to be a fine wolf he learned the
morals of the wolves and one of the biggest was The Law of the Jungle he also learned to hunt
with them. Although Mowgli was raised to be a wolf no one could ever take away his true
identity which was being a man. Mowgli went to his first water truce at Peace Rock which meant
all the animals in the jungle were not allowed to hunt or kill anyone and everyone had to get
along but as soon as Shere Khan showed up that all went out the door, he threatened the wolves
saying how many lives is a man cub really worth meaning man was forbidden in the jungle. Shere
Khan began to hunt Mowgli because he wanted him dead so Bagheera made a decision to take
him to the man village and Mowgli will leave behind the only home and family he ever knew but
before arriving to the man village he goes through a series of events. He meets a brown bear named
Baloo who saved him from the jaws of Kaaa very large snake, he is kidnapped
Why Should We Freeze Icewater Water
Despite the fact that the oceans do freeze when the temperature is cold enough, ocean water does
indeed stay liquid under colder weather. For instance, go to the beach on a winter day and you may
be surprised to find that the ocean is still liquid although the snow and ice on the ground had frozen.
There are four main factors that keep the ocean in a liquid state much more than may be expected. (
wtamu.edu Dr. Christopher S.Baird 2017)

1.Salt
The high concentration of salt solution in the ocean cause its freezing point from 0℃ decrease to
2℃. As a result, the ambient temperature must reach a lower point in order to freeze the ocean than
to freeze freshwater lakes. This freezing point depression effect is the same reason and principle we
The Change Of Wor Vs. Dimensionless Time
As Yortsos et al. (1999) have shown in their work, the change of WOR vs. dimensionless time is
governed by the time regime. He distinguished four such time regimes: Early time, before water
breaks through the layers of a reservoir (Fig. 1, b) in which WOR remains almost constant; The
stage immediately following water breakthrough, when water saturation near the producer is low
(Fig. 1, c). This regime can be analysed using the 1D displacement equation for intermediate values
of water saturation (Eq. 8) which suggests that at intermediate values of water saturation at the
producer,S_w^*≤0.5, the WOR time relationship is described with a linear function of logW vs. logt
with slope1. Intermediate time between (ii) and (iv), reflecting... Show more content on

Fig. 3 shows how WOR varies over time for one of the numerical wells created in a numerical
simulation model for the Wytch Farm Field, UK.

Figure 3: Illustration of a typical WOR vs. dimensionless time dependence showing the four distinct
time regimesFigure 4: A plot of log[(1+W)2/(Wt)] vs. log W showing that in the case of large M, the
cross plot conditions described by Eq. 8 apply over a wide range of WOR (b=2.0) (Yortsos et al.,
1999)
Using diagnostic plots of log[(1+W)2/(Wt)] vs. logW Yortsos et al. (1999) showed numerically that
for large water oil viscosity ratio and small Corey exponent to oil, the flood front water saturation
is relatively low. As a result the behavior immediately following breakthrough described by Eq. 8
is valid over a wide range of WOR, in which case the ratio [(1+W)2/(Wt)] remains approximately
constant for an extensive range of WOR. Conversely, for small viscosity ratios, the late time
behavior becomes dominant at much lower values of WOR. His studies were supported by numerical
Fwoomp Narrative
Fwoomp! Dust rises in the air caused by the limp bird and rock, which both lay 4 meters in front
of Jack. Beat that Henry, he says. I chuckle and say Watch. As I bend down, my hand digs into the
ground grasping rocks, while dirt makes the bed of my fingernails home. I stand and stare at my
11 targets that are perched on the edge of the railway track. My hand comes back with an icy
resistance, I imagine the rocks in my hand amalgamate into one cricket ball. I run up and release,
the projectiles soar through the air. One after the other the tiny bird s lifeless body s meet their
resting place with a Fwoomp. Now on our bikes and late from our little detour, Jack and I race each
other to school, well to our old school that is. We turn... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We spot the old Subaru making its way down the deserted street, we both stand up. The Subaru
makes a long squeal as it comes to a halt, jack opens the boot and we chuck the two bikes in. It s
been 10 minutes Mrs. Archer hasn t spoken a word to me since I ve been in the car, to be honest,
it s a little awkward. so how are things Kirstein? I ask this in hope to break the ice alright, things
would be better if you didn t drag my boy into your shenanigans. It s safe to say she thinks I m a
bad influence on her Jackey boy. As we get closer to Jack s house it starts to rain, the grey worn
out asphalt that disappears under the car, is now a glossy black. The heavy rain that falls from
the navy sky blurs whatever lies in the distance, with the windscreen wipers as broken as jack s
bike, it makes even seeing the road in front of the car difficult. In the blurry void there are frantic
swaying lights. what are those? Jack asks, what the hell they look like headlights! I confusingly
add. Now on a bridge with the car that belongs to the crazy lights, as it creeps closer we can see
that it doesn t have any control we re going to collide! Jacks the first one to scream mumm! I don
t know why, but Mrs. Archer s instincts were to swerve, ultimately sending us flying off the edge
of the flimsy wood bridge. It doesn t feel real I glance at Jack, everything slows down. the sandy
