CHARGE SHEET UNDER SECTIONS:

- Section 392, IPC - Punishment for robbery

- Section 397, IPC - Robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt

- Section 34, IPC - Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention

FACTS OF THE CASE:

On 22nd February 2024 at around 9:15 PM, the accused, Mr. Anil Yadav, along with two unknown

accomplices, intercepted Mr. Suresh Mehta, a businessman, near Pusa Road, Karol Bagh. The

accused threatened Mr. Mehta with a sharp-edged weapon and forcibly snatched his briefcase

containing cash worth Rs. 2,50,000 and important business documents.


The act was witnessed by local vendor Mr. Rafiq, who immediately informed the nearby police

patrol. The accused was apprehended within 30 minutes based on the description provided. A

portion of the stolen amount and the weapon were recovered from his possession.

STATEMENTS OF WITNESSES:

1. Mr. Suresh Mehta (Victim) - "I was threatened with a knife and forced to hand over my bag. I

feared for my life."

2. Mr. Rafiq (Eyewitness) - "I saw three men surround the businessman and one of them was

holding a knife. I immediately called the police."

3. SI Rajendra Singh - "We located the suspect near Rajinder Nagar based on eyewitness input and

found part of the cash and knife with him."

RECOVERY AND EVIDENCE:

- Rs. 1,30,000 in cash recovered from accused's possession.

- Blood-stained knife recovered.

- CCTV footage from a nearby shop confirming the incident.

- Confession of accused during custodial interrogation.

CHARGES FRAMED:

- Committing robbery with deadly weapon (Sec. 392 IPC)

- Robbery with attempt to cause hurt (Sec. 397 IPC)

- Common intention with unidentified co-accused (Sec. 34 IPC)

PRAYER:

In view of the gravity of the offence, the Hon'ble Court is requested to:

1. Take cognizance and frame charges under relevant sections.

2. Proceed with summoning of the accused and co-accused when identified.

3. Deny bail due to the serious nature of the offence and risk of tampering evidence.

4. Order speedy trial in the interest of justice.
