VMFA Museum Report
The VMFA stores a diverse selection from many periods, from the awe inspiring and dramatic
works of the Mughal Empire to the ecclesiastical leaded glass windows of the famous Louis Tiffany.
I have always had a passion for the arts and thrived on the atmosphere of the museum.I have many
fond memories from my summer interning in the EducationDepartment with Jessica Bauserman. As
a Teen Tern, I and three other students were chosen from a plethora of applicants that had been
enrolled in the MuseumLeaders in Training Program. In that program I was able to gain valuable
skills such as proposal writing, event planning, time management, and become proficient with
VMFA library resources. In order to learn proper editing for an upcoming microsite I was able to
research a piece of art, Our Lady of Piety, which opened my eyes to the broad scope of European
history that wasn t confined to Europe and satisfied my interest in art.... Show more content on

also enjoy researching, in school I am always researching art and history and I continued this task
during my Teen Ternship experience. I would love to be considered for an intern position so that I
could work with the Curatorial Department to assist you and challenge myself with a myriad of
tasks, and I am confident that my background in education will provide a unique
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Reveiw
When I first saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, I exited the theater with an excruciating
headache, a lingering sense of emptiness and a very strong desire to punch the film s
cinematographer, (Ewing) which relates to the movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince which
stars Daniel Radcliffe, Michael Gambon, Jim Broadbent, and directed by David Yates. In the sixth
Harry PotterSaga, Harry goes to school, becomes obsessed with a mysterious book which belongs
to the Half Blood Prince, and goes on a dangerous mission to save himself in the end. Also, Harry
tries to attempt to retrieve a memory of Professor Slughorn, which holds a major key to Voldermort
s downfall. Towards the end of the movie, Malfoy, Harry s archenemy, secret... Show more content

All in all, the directing of the movie quite fantastic the way the critic, Peter Travers, reviews in his
article. I approve this comment, The sixth of Rowling s book to be filmed is that it s an interim
tease, all buildup and no release. Actually, Travers defends in his review by saying like that s bad,
because the director of this movie, David Yates, did a great job on build up and release when the
movie display a huge surprise to see ... bully... Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), kill wise old Professor
Dumbledore (Michael Gambon). And then there s slithery Severus Snape (the great Alan Rickman)
makes a deal to protect Draco. The movie presents Snape helping student, Draco Malfoy, destroy
Professor Dumbledore and I applaud the director in which the order of the action occurred. I
agree with Travers that the director of this movie, David Yates, did a great job on build up and
release when the movie displays the action towards the end of the movie. What makes Half Blood
Prince top tier is the descent of darkness on the lives of characters and setting of the movie,
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which creates that dark sneaky feeling you feel
when you see the movie. Instead of Hogwarts been that cheery type of school, in the movie you
will see the halls mostly gloomy, bare, and deserted. One of the main points of this movie is getting
lost in the hypnotic Half Blood Prince (and) its haunting power the Harry Potter fans craves
Women s Roles In Sir Gawain And The Green Knight
Women s roles throughout history, as well as literature, have been constantly changing throughout
the times. In the beginning, women are property and the only function they served was to have
children and take care of the men and their households. However, the roles of women changed
throughout each passing year. Middle Ages England saw a slight change, and it is reflected in their
poetry and literature. This is prevalent in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, where a woman helps to
drive the plot of the poem. However, this poem also highlights the misogynistic view of not only
the wife in the poem but of all women as well. This belief was highlighted in the poem due to the
societal viewing of women during the time of the poem s origin. During the Middle Ages, women
only had two occupations that they could uphold: wife and mother or nun (Bovey, Women in
Medieval Society). Society expected women to get married in their youth, and then have as many
children as they could in order to have the children help around the house or farm. On the other
hand, if women did not want to go through the horrors of childbirth, then they could join the
church and become a nun or later Abbess (Bovey, Women in Medieval Society). However,
becoming a nun was still much like becoming a mother, due to the duties of the Abbess to the
monasteries. The Abbess has to not only take care of her fellow nuns but also has to take care of
the friars because of her superiority (Bovey, Women in Medieval

The Life of a College Football Player
(1)Most people think college football players just party all year long. Most people think being
college football players is easy and all fun and games but it is not. Playing college football is very
challenging and it takes a lot of hard work. You need to be committed and dedicated 100% that is
why some college football players today give up they were not cut to do all the work. Playing
college football requires training 24/7. You have practice every day long and hard. Even in the
off season there is still a lot of work to be done so basically football is a all year round thing You
also have to be able to be great in the classroom. Some coaches even make a player keep a certain
GPA just so the can play on Saturday. Only about 3 4% of high school players can get the
opportunity to play D1 college football that is why coaches only look for the best that is why you
have to be good athletically and good academically. Some couches wont even give you an offer if

Two Variable Inequalities Kristine Heckman MAT 222 Intermediate Algebra Instructor Leah
Murray November 4, 2013 TWO VARIABLE INEQUALITIES For this assignment, I am going to
work with two variable inequalities and demonstrate the practical application of these
inequalities. I am going to use a graph that shows the number of TV s on the left side and the
number of refrigerators on the bottom. Of course this would mean that my x axis is the bottom,
and my y axis on the left. The line shows the combination of TV s and refrigerators that the truck
can hold. The problem I am going to work on is #68 on page 539 . The 18 wheeler truck can hold

331 ≤ 330Although it is very close, this combination of TV s and refrigerators will not fit in the
truck. Therefore, the statement is false. My second question asks if the truck will hold 51
refrigerators and 176 TV s. Will the coordinates (51,176) fall into the shaded region of our graph?
I will work this test point just as the last. 329 ≤ 330This will be a tight fit, but all of the cargo will
be able to make it onto the truck. Now I have to figure out a minimum or maximum allowance of
cargo to be found. The Burbank Buy More is going to make an order which will include, at most,
60 refrigerators. What is the maximum number of TV s that could also be delivered on the same
truck? To find the answer, I will plug 60 into the x place of my inequality and solve for y. Is my
inequality replace x with 60 multiply, then subtract 180 from both sides This is the maximum
amount of TV s that can be shipped with the refrigerators. For the second scenario, the Burbank
Buy More decides to have a television sale so they change their order to include at least 200 TV s.
I need to figure out the maximum number of refrigerators that can be shipped in the same truck. I
start with the same inequality. Replace y with 200 and solve for x Subtract 200 from each side
Now I divide both sides by 3 This means that no more than 43 refrigerators can be shipped with the
True Professionalism is Related to a Person´s Attitudes,...
Nowadays, the competitiveness of companies and the fight for customers, it s increasingly more
and more difficult to attract and retain clients on their side. For this reason, companies must pay
great attention and care to their employees, as they are the ones in constant contact with
customers. This essay will talk about professionalism, particularly what constitutes
professionalism, what are the consequences when employees do not follow the company s
conduct for the big company such as Rolls Royce and will look at some of the facts how Rolls
Royce deals with these kind of issues. Furthermore, I will reflect on the situation when acting as
professional become an issue during the placement with Rolls Royce. The word professionalism
is often referred to as person s attitude, behaviour , and capabilities in their job (Smith and
McKeen, 2003). Maister (1997) explains, being professional does not necessary describes a
person with a set of job qualifications, it is rather a label one have to earn in the eyes of others.
So what describes true professionalism? There is no generally adopted norm of what constitutes
professionalism, what defines professionalism in one company may not apply somewhere else,
however, it is recognized that manners and appearance are inseparable part of it (Smith and
McKeen, 2003). Physical appearance is just as important as actual behaviour on the job. If IT
employee s appearance does not fit with the professional image of the rest of the
Essay on cultural revolution
The Cultural Revolution was the greatest educational incident chronicled in the last hundred years
and it took place from 1966 to 1976. Mao Zedong was the leader of the Cultural Revolution and he
wanted to bring about the Cultural Revolution by setting goals to form a more affective bureaucracy.
The Cultural Revolution was a time when Red Guards fought against a democratic society and the
guards attacked an aspect called the quot;4 olds. quot; The quot;4 olds quot; were old ideas, old
culture, old customs, and old habits.

Furthermore, many aspects of life were forbidden or simply done away with during the Cultural
Revolution. Shopkeepers were not allowed to sell clothes that resembled western style clothes and
hairstylists could not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The students attending universities were the first citizens to be affected by the revolution. The
students question methods of teaching and learning, and the students wanted the school to be more
accepting to the society by making peasants and workers feel welcome. Foreign affairs with other
countries were also practically impossible during the Cultural Revolution because of the actions of
the Red Guards. The Red Guards took over China s Foreign Relation s Ministry, and conquered the
former Soviet Union Embassy. Furthermore, these young students invaded and set fire to the British
Embassy. The Red Guards beat up and abused members of the diplomatic corps, and the Red Guards
tore western style apparel off female personnel.

Moreover, the students were the first members of the Red Guards. The Red Guards were
revolutionists who fought against the 4 olds. The Red Guards were pupils from China s colleges
and universities who were denied the ability to succeed academically. Their quot;supreme
commander quot; was Mao Zedong, and Maoists called the Red Guards quot;little revolutionary
generals quot;. The Red Guards went into citizens houses and threw out upper class and western
style objects. The guards beat civilians up and shaved their heads. The Red Guards were not able to
destroy museums and historic structures, because the buildings were blocked with
The Concept Of Jesus Being Fully Man
Introduction

The concept of Jesus being fully man but also fully God at the same time has been debated amongst
scholars, both Christians and non Christians alike for centuries. The doctrine and study surrounding
the person of Jesus is known as Christology, and after extensive and often hostile debates the Church
gave a concluding definition of its Christology in 451 CE at the Council of Chalcedon. It was stated
that they affirmed the belief in Jesus Christ as one Person in two natures, which are united without
confusion. The early church was adamant that the Incarnation was one of the most important truths
of the Christian faith.

Maurice Wiles, an Oxford patristic scholar summarised the Chalcedons s aims as follows:

On the other hand was the conviction that a saviour must be fully divine; on the other hand was the
conviction that what is not assumed is not healed. Or, to put the matter in other words, the source of
salvation must be God; the locus of salvation must be humanity. It is quite clear that these two
principles often pulled in opposite directions. The Council of Chalcedon was the church s attempt
to resolve, or perhaps rather to agree to live with, that tension. This essay will examine and
critically analyse this stance alongside answering the question of would it matter if Jesus were not
fully God and fully human? Five specific points will be looked at; Jesus is God, Jesus is man, Jesus
is a sinless man, Jesus will be fully God and man forever, and
City Cell Vs Plant Cell Essay
There are many different ways in which a cell can be compared to something else. You can compare
a cell to a factory, a school, or even a city. When comparing a cell to a city each organelle acts as
different part of the city. One example of an organelle comparing to a part of a city is the cell
membrane. The cell membrane can be compared to the boundaries of a city. Just like how the cell
membrane keeps all of the organelles inside, the boundaries of a city determine what is or is not
within city limits. In a city the most important building is the city hall. This is where all city s
governmentofficials work. City hall is very much like the nucleus in a cell. The nucleus holds and
protects all the cell s genetic information just like how city hall holds all the records... Show more

Just like the ribosomes factory workers are responsible for building and producing items that the
city needs. Next is the endoplasmic reticulum which is what molecules inside the cell travel
along. This obviously compares to the roads which people in a city travel along to get from place
to place. In a plant cell there is a reservoir that stores water for that it might need later. City s need
to store water too and to do this they use water towers. These two are almost exact because they
both only have one responsibility which is to just store water for later usage. Now although their
are many other organelles in a cell these are just a few that can relate well to the different parts of
a city. Cells are a huge part of biology and even though we just compare them to different things in
a city just to get a better understanding of what they do, a cell itself really is just like one tiny city
inside our bodies. Because without every organelles doing its job we wouldn t be able to function
the way we do. And the same is with a city in real life. If every part of the city isn t running
smoothly then it just wouldn t be able to work

Lesson 7: How should future generations contend with the French English divide? Has this divide
changed over the past 20 years, if yes how so?

As a part of Quebec s youth and up and coming younger generation I have witnessed the conflicts
between the French English divide since I could remember and it is important that the needs of
both sides are full filled or at least compensated for, future generations need to focus on other
issues and need to resolve the French English divide in a fashionable matter so that both sides can
work together and benefit from each other such as the increase of speaking French in schools and
businesses. Cleavages are defined as a politically significant ... Show more content on

Being an English speaker myself it is very encouraging and helpful that I am perfectly bilingual,
being bilingual has helped me in the work force, in my studies and in my social life. These are
some factors that have English speaking Quebecers speak more French and really made an impact
among English and French speakers of Quebec. In Bernard Landry s video he talks about speaking to
his cousins that live in British Columbia and displays how they have lost their French Background it
is in the Parti Quebecoise best interest to prevent this from happening. As we have seen, la
survivance was the notion that fuelled traditional Quebec nationalism. The Quiet Revolution gave
rise to a new type of nationalism in Quebec which had a different vision of the state and its ability,
through its institutions, to help the French survive (L7, S49). The French English divide was further
aggravated when the Quebec government decided to use its institutions to implement legislation to
ensure the survival of the French language in Quebec. This caused a great deal of controversy in
English .In an attempt to counter such nationalist language tactics and appease the French, the
federal government also used its institutions to enact legislation related to language. There is no
doubt that the
