War On The Battle Field And The Return Home
Danfung Dennis perfectly portrayed the difficulties of war on the battle field and the return home
in Hell and Back Again . Following a wounded solider throughout his tour in Afghanistan as well as
his first few months back home shines light on the hardship that these soldiers go through while
serving their country. This film takes a look inside the nightmares of war on the battle field and in
the heads of the soldiers that come home. Sending men and women into war not only has a
damaging physical effect, but also has a devastating mental effect as well.

Sergeant Nathan Harris served two tours in the Echo Company 2nd Battalion 8th Regiment of the
US Marine Corp. In the summer of 2009, when the fighting was at its highest ever since the first
initial attack, he was severely wounded and relieved of his duties. Once he is sent home he is left to
deal with the physical pain and hardship of rehabbing his broken hip. Along with the physical pain,
he fights to keep his mental health stable as well. Struggling with the effects of war on his brain
alongside the struggle of taking handfuls of narcotics each day without becoming dependent on
them. His story is just a glimpse of what thousands of men and women deal with after returning
home from the battlefield.

It s no secret that our government has sent men and women into the battle field to return in pieces,
if not in a wooden box. We have all seen the images and heard the stories of our wounded warriors
Texting in Class Is Rampant
Crafting Draft 1
21 April 2014

Cellphones are most common in society. The ease of access allows us to have the world at our
fingertips 24 hours a day and we never have to unplug. We can surf the web, book a flight, check
the weather, and message a friend 1000 miles away without leaving our bed. Texting has fast become
the preferred form of communication for young adults; however, students need to be dissuaded from
texting during class because of the result in loss of valuable class time, lack of effective
communication skills, and consistent use of improper English leading to a negative impact on
students learning. Maryellen Weimer, PhD recently posted in Teacher Professor Blog most students

Lack of comprehension and poor course work will result in a lower grade average. Students may
become frustrated and give up easily. Using texting as a quicker and more efficient form of
communication takes the emotional connection out of the equation. It allows us to not be
physically near the recipient or to take responsibility for miscommunications that lead to hurt
feelings. While texting, students do not need to make eye contact with their recipient or learn to
read their body language. In addition, there is no need to learn the art of persuasive argument or
exchanging and building on ideas. This is not only harming students in the classroom, but can
have negative effects when entering the workforce. After leaving college, students hope to land a
job in their field of expertise. In the workforce, teams are a diverse collection of persons all ages
and different cultures. Texting may be acceptable in some situations, but there is still a great need
for face to face interactions. We learn how to become more comfortable meeting new people and
interviewing for jobs. There is nothing wrong the light banter between friends that texting can
provide, but the conversation is not necessarily deep. Texting allows us to stay in touch with others
in a most efficient way. We type a quick text, hit send, and in a matter of seconds our recipient has
our text. Receiving a text is fast, but typing out a clear, concise
Freshman Year Transcripts
Transcripts Throughout my four years of high school, my GPAs have been pretty good. Spring
semester of freshman year was by far the best because I managed to end the year with a 4.0.
However, my classes started to get a little more challenging to me and after that semester, my GPAs
started to go down. I would have to say that my worst year was junior year. I ended the year off with
four B s and only three A s. I would definitely have to say that I let my classes get the best of me that
year. Now that it s my senior year, I now know to never let stress interfere with my grades because it
is not worth it. I hope I can achieve my goal of ending the year with a 4.0.
Attendance
Overall, my attendance has been good. I have only missed school if
Government Surveillance Report
The part of Dr. Christ s lecture that remained in my mind was his input on the topic of surveillance.
In fact when he mentioned that google is able to track us, I immediately opened my phone and shut
down the ability for google to track my location. My animation connects to Dr. Christ s lecture in the
sphere of surveillancewhile at first this doesn t seem to connect with my project I will show you
why. Notice when you were playing the game as you moved smug, the cat, the ball followed. This is
my way of showing governmentsurveillance. The ball reacting to smug s movements serve as a
metaphor for the way that the government is able to track us via google, our phones and various
other mechanisms. Also notice that you can trick the ball into going away from smug. This trick is
a metaphor for how people can encrypt information and use the dark web to keep information away
from the government. Also the ability to trick the ball into going in the wrong direction serves as a
metaphor for how the government is a massive inept bureaucracy that struggles to complete even the
most simple tasks with easy and swiftness.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Representing the people and their information. The ball represents the government, its ability to
track information and how it keeps surveillance on people. The most difficult part of the project was
trying to figure out how to make the cat reset if it came into contact with ball. Determining how to
do this took the most time of my entire project, about thirty minutes. For me the most fun part of the
project was actually playing the game. Specifically, I enjoyed tricking the ball into going into the
wrong direction thus making Smug s crossing much easier than it would have been without tricking

Abraham Lincoln Thesis
Abraham Lincoln
This is the story of a man named Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the
United States. There are many things that Abraham has done, but the biggest thing he ever did was
free the slaves. He saw the slaves and felt that it was very wrong to own people. The southern states
despised the idea of freeing the slaves, so the Civil War started. The northern side won, thus,
Abraham Lincoln freed the blacks from slavery.
Abraham Lincoln can be important just for the fact that he was our president at one point.
However, that doesn t even come close to the main reasons he is important. Without Abraham
Lincoln, we would have never freed the slaves and we would still be owning people. If we didn t
have Abraham Lincoln,
The Protagonists In The Comedy Of Errors
The antagonists in The Comedy of Errors are the Antipholus twins and the two Dromios. Their
motivation is to correct their mistakes of mistaken identity. Both sets of twins are their own
antagonists because they keep making false assumptions based on their look alike appearances ...
their doppelganger. The two Dromios and the two Antipholuses were still as much alike as
Aegeon had said they were in their infancy.... (Shakespeare 95). Their doppelganger causes all the
conflict because they and the townspeople confuse their identities. [T]he purse of money, which
Adriana had sent by Dromio, and he had delivered it to the other Antipholus. (Shakespeare 97).
The Antipholuses and the Dromios are the antagonists in the play, The Comedy of Errors. Simply,
the plot of The Comedy of Errors is that there are two sets of twins that end up in the same town
and their identities are mistaken. As a reference, Aegeon s sons, besides being exactly alike in face
and person, were both named alike, being both called Antipholus, and the two twin slaves were also
both named Dromio. (Shakespeare 94). During a shipwreck all the twins were separated. One twin
brother and his twin servant lived in Syracuse, and the other twin brother and his servant lived in
Ephesus. As an example, The eldest son... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the beginning of the play the Duke is not able to pardon Aegeon because of his oath and
dignity. For example, ...if it were not against the laws, which his oath and dignity did not permit
him to alter, he would freely pardon him. (Shakespeare 94). At the end of the play, however, the
Duke seems to freely and easily forgive Aegeon of his trespass. To illustrate, When they were
become a little calm, Antipholus of Ephesus offered the Duke the ransom money for his father s
life; but the Duke freely pardoned Aegeon, and would not take the money. (Shakespeare 100). All in
all, The Comedy of Errors is more frustrating than
Satire In Political Cartoons
Political cartoons and satire are a prevalent way to depict the current viewpoints in the political
system. In some cases, the cartoons can polarize people when they push the envelope too far.
However, in many cases, Democrats and Republicans alike can join in laughing at the humor
intended by the illustrators and writers. For my cartoon, I chose to draw a picture of an elephant
crushing Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate. The meaning behind my cartoon is
that even Republicans are trying to keep Trump from saying all the highly opinionated, offensive,
and negative things in his political campaign. Elephants represent the Republicans, and the
Democrats are symbolized as Donkeys. In my cartoon, the elephant sitting on Trump

Rheumatoid Arthritis Research Paper
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, systemic inflammatory autoimmune disease. The disease happens
when the immune system mistakenly attacks a healthy tissue as if it was a foreign invader, such as
a virus or bacteria. If left untreated it can lead to permanent joint damage, decrease in quality of life,
and total disability. It affects over a million people in the U.S. alone. Rheumatoid arthritissymptoms
include persistent joint inflammationwhich causes joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. Fatigue and
stiffness are usually early symptoms. Joint pain can be an early symptom in a variety of diseases.
Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis often develop slowly over a period of weeks or longer, but this
is not always the case, it can have an acute... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of the time when we think about this disease we immediately think about the joint damage
but this disease can affect multiple areas within the body. Pericarditis can occur during a severe
flare which can interfere with the hearts ability to work well. Also, a decrease in red blood cells
can occur which leads to anemia. Thrombocytosis is another complication in which the
inflammation leads to increased levels of platelets within the blood. This can cause clotting and
lead to strokes. Within the lungs another possible complication is that of pleurisy which causes
breathing to be a painful process. Rheumatoid arthritis can cause nodules to form on the lungs and
the heart as well which can lead to a variety of complications. Susceptibility to infection is a great
concern, not only because of the disease itself but usually the immune suppressing medicines that
treat it. This disease also causes many problems within the eyes. Inflammation of the sclera and
Sjogren s Sydrome can occur which can lead to dry, red, irritated and painful eyes. In the skin,
nodules and vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels) can
