Luther King,Jr was a civil rights leader , who was in the Birmingham jail for being apart of the
campaign, King was asked to come to Birmingham to join in the non violent direct action program.
He was put in the jail in 1963, eight white clergymen wrote a letter in the newspaper and Martin
Luther King,Jr wrote in the cell on anything he could find, for his attempt to explain the movement
and himself. Through Kings rhetoric, and his language, he turns the white clergymen words back on
themselves. King uses logic, emotion and ethos throughout the letter, his use of emotion and logic

Crohn s is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease where the aetiology is unknown (Bullock Hales,
2013, p. 823). Inflammation commonly occurs in the terminal ileum, jejunum and large bowel but
can be present anywhere in the digestive tract from mouth to anus (Chang Johnson, 2014, p. 447).
CD disrupts all four layers of the intestine: Epithelium, subepithelium, muscularis and serosa
(Bullock Hales, 2013, p. 825). Inflammation triggers ulcers to develop in the epithelium and this
results in deep fissures, fistulas or abscesses to form and extend into the peritoneum (Farrell
Dempsey, 2014, p. 917). Granulomas in the bowel do not appear constant on the wall and
separations lie between normal and diseased bowel (Chang Johnson, 2014, p. 447). Once the
subsequent layers of the small intestine become oedematous from inflammation, in an attempt to
heal, the damaged tissues produce scarred fibrotic tissue (Bullock Hales, 2013, p. 825). The chronic
scarring causes the intestinal lumen to become thick and narrow (Farrell Dempsey, 2014, p. 917).

Aside from the connections and similarities both of these poems are actually quite different. In
Cummings poem the time cycle such as, spring summer autumn winter (3). Has the effect that
time goes by quickly and the little things almost are insignificant. Also in Cummings poem he had

The play was not what I expected. The characters, the plot surpassed my expectations. The play
was excellent. It was really worth my money and time. I read about Rizal s sacrifices but to
actually see it with my eyes was an eye opener and truly moved my heart. Reading and seeing are
actually different things. I m not a fan of historical movies or even play but this one was actually
different from any other. It is a different experience when you saw the events straight out from your
history book and I was caught off guard with the experience presented to me by this play. And, when
the audience left the hall, each one of them brought home different life lessons and realizations on
the life of Rizal.
Since we all have a background of the life of Rizal, I thought that the play was predictable but I was
