Natural Resources Committee
Manisha Mudbhari Professor S Sharifian GOVT 2306 April 30, 2018 When I Won The natural
resources committee is committee of Texas house of representatives. Natural resources committee is
permanent basis committee of state legislature from session to session which refines the bill and act
sensibly on the details of bill and decide on bill s merits (House committee on natural resources). The
committee with 11 members deals and functions procedurally with conserving natural resources and
economic development. They are concern about the conservation of the natural resources of Texas,
control and development of land and water, irrigation managements, modification and regulation of

The public legal education always important for individuals to involving in the issues of law. We
must raise awareness and promote legal awareness among all. The good way to know about this in
local and easiest way is by attending public meetings, hearings and legislative sessions or school
committee meetings. However, this kind of activities might not interest everybody. So, we should
create a communication network like social media that works efficiently to all age group people.
We can also put this on our course form school level. I think, the fast and reliable way of getting

Immigration Act Of The Border
Border Patrol began in 1904 when illegal crossings at the border were prevented by seventy five
mounted guards who were given directives by the U.S immigration service to patrol the border (U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, n.d). Patrols were, however, not consistent because of limited
resources and little supervision. They attempted to prevent Chinese illegal migration as they
patrolled along the border in California. However, from 1915, resources such as horses, cars and
boats were added to a more specified group, authorized and named mounted inspectors by Congress.
They patrolled the southern border with instructions from Commissioner General of Immigration
(U.S. Customs and Border Protection, n.d). Their patrolling efforts were... Show more content on

The U.S. government under Franklin Roosevelt therefore provided the required resources such as
badges, uniforms, revolvers, salaries and oats for horses already owned by some of the recruits.
Operating under two directors in charge of the Mexican border office and Canadian border office
in 1932, the Border Patrol worked to counter liquor and alien smugglers at the border. The
Immigration and Naturalization Service was formed in 1933 when President Franklin Roosevelt
merged the Bureau of Naturalization and the Bureau of Immigration. In December 1934, classes in
horsemanship and marksmanship were attended by thirty four trainees after the first Border Patrol
Academy was initiated in El Paso (U.S. Customs and Border Protection, n.d). Although cars and
radios were used in the patrolling exercise, horses remained convenient for the Border Patrol
because of the rugged terrain.
The Border Patrol became more effective as the duties continued to be executed over the years
and much of its efforts as seen during the war years (Wallechinsky, n.d.). It expanded more after
the Immigration Service was shifted to the Department of Justice from the Department of Labor in
1940. The number of officers in Border Patrol rose to 1531 and after World War II, more personnel
joined the force (U.S. Customs and Border Protection, n.d). The Border Patrol s effectiveness during
the war was seen in its ability to manage detention camps, to exercise strong control at the border, to
assist U.S.
Fatty Liver Disease
The risks of consuming sugar do not end with diabetes; studies have also reported sugars
connection to Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Typically, liver disease is seen as a
result of the over consumption of alcohol, but sugar can also have a similar effect on the liver. As
previously described, when glucoseis consumed it is dispersed throughout the body via insulin and
the extra is sent to the liver to be stored. Glucose consumed at low to moderate levels will not have
an overly detrimental effect on the liver. Fructose, however, circumvents insulin and is directed
straight to the liver (Stanhope, SugarConsumption... ). When the fructose reaches the liver it is
stored as fat cells, which build up over time and cause a stress response... Show more content on

Though there is truth in this statement, as aforementioned, if sugar truly is addictive as shown in
some studies, there may be a correlation between overeating and sugar. Even more concerning, in
recent years, there have been multiple discussions arising concerning the sugar industry s
involvement in skewing research conducted on the effects of sugar. These exposés found in both
scholarly journals as well as in publications like Time Magazine suggest great lengths have been
made to hide the negative impacts of sugar from the public. In the article Sugar Industry Influence
on Dental Health Policy Examined, Karen Rosenberg writes, The researchers found a consistent
pattern of efforts by the sugar industry to divert attention away from limiting sugar intake. Why
would the sugar industry try to prevent this information from spreading? Money is most likely the
answer. The sugar industry is a twenty four billion dollar industry worldwide, a market that would
be greatly harmed if sugar stopped being consumed at excessive rates (Keating, The World
Sweetener... ). In recent years, the medical world has begun to address the links to sugar and poor
health. An article written to optometrist doctors (OD) writes, Dennis Ruskin, OD, FAAO, opened
with a frontal assault on the U.S. food industry and government regulatory agencies for not including

A New Research And Development Group
HACKD, LLC s move to launch a new research and development group christened, CWE is a
welcome move for the organization to streamline research operations, and to develop innovative
products and services. The proposed CWE group systems are expected to run on the Ubuntu Linux
15.04 operating system that will access and share resources with the MicrosoftActive Directory
(AD) domain at HACKD, LLC. The AD domain comprises several servers running Windows
Server 2012 R2 providing various services such as DHCP, DNS, file sharing, Microsoft Active
Directory, printing and web services. HACKD, LLC also has a mix of about 500 desktop and laptop
computers running on the Windows XPand Windows 7client operating systems. According to the

In the case of the CWE group systems implementation, the minimum system requirements for
running Ubuntu 15.04 will be used to determine whether new hardware will be purchased, or
whether current systems running Windows XP will be migrated to Ubuntu. The Ubuntu 15.04
operating system is distributed on two types of bootable images i.e. 32 bit and 64 bit PC images.
The 64 bit (AMD64) desktop image is built to cater for systems based on the EM64T and AMD64
architectures such as Core 2, EM64T Xeon, and Athlon64. For 64 bit processor not manufactured
by AMD, or when full support for 32 bit applications is required, the 32 bit (i386) desktop image is
recommended. The 32 bit image is designed for almost all PC systems and includes computers with
AMD/Intel processors, almost all machines capable or running Microsoft Windows operating system
offerings. In fact, the 32 bit version of the Ubuntu 15.04 desktop image is recommended when
organizations/users are unsure of which version to use (Releases.ubuntu.com, 2015).
Another issue to consider on the hardware aspect regards the minimum system requirements required
to run Ubuntu 15.04. The Table 1 below shows the minimum system requirements for Ubuntu 15.04
compared to the current system specifications for machines running Windows XP. The third
Requirements met column specifies whether the current Windows XP hardware meets the minimum
requirements for installing Ubuntu 15.04. Ubuntu 15.04 Minimum System Requirements
Sementation and Target Market Paper
Segmentation and Target Market Paper
Walmart Corporation Upon opening a business, a company must decide where to place the business
and how to market the company. This is not an easy task if several businesses of the same industry
are located in the same neighborhood. Before the company can open, a new business must choose
what market they want to reach and the best way to reach them. The company must also determine
the psychographic and behavioral characteristics of each market the company is trying to reach. The
following is information on how Walmart Corporation chooses their geographic, demographic,
psychographic, and behavioral segments when the company places a new store in a specific
neighborhood.

Under these groups, brand aspirationals are individuals with low income who like brand name
products such as KitchenAid or Black Decker. Price sensitive affluents are individuals with higher
incomes who love deals and get a brand name for lower prices. Value priced shoppers are those of
lower income and do not have extra funds to spend, so they are looking for the lowest price possible
(Ryan, 2007).
Behavioral Segmentation Behavioral segmentation is the process of placing consumers in
different categories on the basis of knowledge of, attitude toward, use of, or response to a product
(Kotler Keller, 2012). To successfully market a specific product Walmart will want to keep in mind
the three core groups that have been created. According to Ryan, all product decisions the company
makes will be based on the three core groups (2007). Feedback from these groups will help the
company determine what products that sell best and those products the company can eliminate
because they do not sell.
Positioning Statement The success of Walmart is paramount, but the company was not without
customer loyalty issues. According to Kotler and Keller, a brand position is the act of designing a
company s offering and image to occupy a distinctive place in the minds of the target market (2012,
p. 276). The company s original positioning statement for the longest time was
The City Of East, Virginia, Maryland And Delaware
Sheltered amongst the trees along the Monongahela River, just 15 miles south of Pittsburgh, early
travelers located some of the most fertile soil and picturesque landscape that they had ever laid
their eyes on. A simply amazing discovery, the area was not only perfect for boat and ship building,
but it offered a hub for various forms for incorporating businesses into the area, and it offered
conditions perfect for liveability during the heat of summer and the brutal winters that western
Pennsylvania is known for. Sometime during the mid to late 1700s, settlers from New Jersey,
Maryland and Delaware began moving into the area now known as Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, taking
advantage of the lush foliage and generous farmland that sat nestled... Show more content on

While many will argue that the big boat was built at a boatyard near the Liberty Bridge in
Pittsburgh, the mystery of where the big boat was built, according to the founding fathers of
Elizabeth, was built at the edge of the Monongahela River and later the durable merchant vessel
set sail from the shipyard based in Elizabeth. One later accounts of the origins of the famous
keelboat carrying Lewis Clark came directly from a reliable source during an interview with Col.
George A. Bayard, son of Col. Stephen Bayard in early 1852. Col. Bayard stated that the early
involvement of boat building included the keelboat that was built by John Walker at the boatyard
at along the waterfront in Elizabeth Borough and was later used for the Lewis and Clark
expedition. Today, Elizabeth has many more mysteries that embody the town with intrigue and is a
definite place of interest for anyone who loves history, paranormal activity, beauty, fine dining,
dancing in the streets, and that welcoming small town feel that a community like Elizabeth exudes.
Elizabeth is the second oldest town in Allegeheny County and the first ship building industry west
of the Allegheny Mountains. The town became famous for her very own ship, the Monongahela
Farmer who sailed from Elizabeth to New Orleans in 1800. Towboats nudging barges filled with
coal along the river, work and pleasure boats, water sports, music, festivals, and a variety of
excellent cuisine are all a huge part fo what makes

Snowden And The United States
Unless you were hiding beneath a rock in 2014, you saw the nation s reaction to the release of
classified NSA documents by the infamous whistleblower Edward Snowden. Snowden, who worked
as the lead technologist for Dell, managed their accounts with the Central Intelligence Agency. It was
in this position that Snowden began to notice some classified documents that didn t make sense.
These documents contained information on the National SecurityAgency illegally spying on their
own citizens. It was at this time in 2012 that Snowden began downloading some of these files for
himself. It is estimated that he downloaded somewhere between 50,000 and 200,000 files on the
espionage efforts of the United States (Borrough, Ellison, Andrews, 2014). Now, Snowden needed to
get the files out to the people. He attempted to contact a few media outlets around the world who
would not go through the trouble to follow his strict encryption methods. Snowden eventually
contacted documentarian Laura Poitras, who had recently written an article on a separate
whistleblower that caught Snowden s attention. Poitras states in an interview with Salon.com that,
...he d contacted me because my border harassment meant that I d been a person who had been
selected. To be selected and he went through a whole litany of things means that everything you do,
every friend you have, every purchase you make, every street you cross means you re being watched
(Carmon, 2013). This connect lead to Snowden being
Advantages Of Self-Driving Car
Should Self Driving Cars Become a Normal Method of Transportation?
Through improvements of technology during the 21st century, new inventions to the modern day
car have been applied and the future has arrived. The self driving car facilitates the idea that
humans don t have to drive the car, but rather the car can drive itself. The cars recently debuted
after being a concept in the making for several years. One example of the car in the making is
Tesla, a car producing company, that initiated a test run of these cars calling the setting, autopilot
(Source 3). The setting allowed the driver to sit back and relax as the car attempted to drive without
assistance. The self driving car should be a normal mode of transportation because they reduce
accidents, are accessible to all ages, and are cost efficient. Self driving cars prevent accidents by
reacting to stimuli faster than humans. Associated Press writes, The system can brake when it
spots obstacles and keep cars in lanes. (Source 3) The cars can sense and save one when falling
asleep from a long road trip or simply a night out. Furthermore, less accidents result in less traffic,
which will result in decongested roads. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, Google s version of the car has not been fully developed yet and they ...have only
been designed to handle a few thousand miles of road. (Source 1) Any road not downloaded on
the map may cause the car to have a hard time finding unknown locations easily. However, as
technology progresses, the problem should be resolved. Also, even if the self driving car invented
by Google can hold only a thousand miles, the daily routine of many workers and students don t
normally consist of travelling out of his or her area, but rather locally. Even if getting lost could be a
future problem, cell phones help supplement the need to find a destination
