ABSTRACT
Electric vehicles (EVs) on expressways can now have longer ranges and require
shorter charging times thanks to uninterruptible wireless charging technology. In this paper,
we investigate a system that uses embedded inductive charging infrastructure along
expressway lanes to allow EVs to charge while they are moving. We analyse the design,
implementation, and integration of this technology with current road systems. The suggested
system not only solves important EV range anxiety issues, but it also has the potential to
significantly reduce roadside charging infrastructure and boost the uptake of electric
mobility. Finally, we assess the financial and environmental effects of implementing such a
system on a large-scale basis. We prove that continuous wireless charging on freeways is
both technically and financially possible via case studies and simulations, offering a scalable
route to a more environmentally friendly transportation future. By drastically reducing traffic
in metropolitan areas, this technology could improve the efficiency and safety of everyday
trips. Transportation could be transformed by this technology, which would make it more
economical, ecologically friendly, and efficient.
This is an innovative concept that has the potential to completely change the way
transportation infrastructure is developed in the future. Fundamentally, it is about
incorporating cutting-edge wireless charging technology into expressways in a seamless
manner. Dynamic inductive charging coils are positioned and incorporated in the surface of
motorways via careful engineering and creative design. Beyond the constraints of traditional
charging stations, this advanced infrastructure allows electric vehicles to be continuously
charged while they are in motion. This project aims to transform expressway travel
fundamentally and open the door to a new era of continuous electric mobility by utilizing
advanced power management systems and electromagnetic induction principles.
