I Was A True American
Mom, why is she so dark like fillipino if she s korean like me? , I thought asians were suppose to
be smart , Since your last name is Kim are you related to Kim Jong Un? . These were some of the
comments I ve heard growing up in, my whole life. Not just from America where people see me
not as a true American but also from Korea, where there is no ethnicity difference. Growing up, I
learned to understand it was because I looked different and racism is a concept that is inevitable,
but the summer of seventh grade I visited Korea, it changed everything. It had been a while since
I last visited Korea, I had been so young I could not remember anything. But when I went that
summer when I was older, I was shocked. In a land where I thought I belonged to with my race,
was doing the opposite of what I had to learn to overcome in America. In a place where I thought I
looked the same still had reasons to accept me. Even though I was the same race as the people
there, I still wasn t good enough. My skin was to dark, I was too big, my face was too round, and
I didn t look asian . Racism had been consistently plaguing by my side since the beginning. I
realized still a bit surprise and a tad offended, but I thought, I m not living here in Korea anyways
so why worry? And then, in the end of August my parents told me we were moving to Korea on the
30th of August. I had finally adjusted myself, and gotten everything back in place after my injury,
and now I was moving. Like a house
Aunt Hattie Research Paper
Growing up and hearing my dad say, I am going to Hattie s house who wants to come. This would
always make all of us kids jump off the couch. As a matter of fact, I would have dropped anything
I was doing to go to her house. Everyone loved my aunt Hattie. It always seems like she had the
whole neighborhood at her house. That s probably because she did. My aunt Hattie has always
been so welcoming and open hearted; she was always so delighted to see anyone that walked
through her door. She always made you feel as if her house was your own. Always insisting us to
help ourselves to all the food and drinks she kept at the house. I can never remember a time being
bored at my Aunt Hattie s house. Her house was like an all you can eat buffet, racetrack and
ballpark all at once. Every year my older sister, and two younger brothers, and I would have the
chance to stay at her house, while my parents went to Niagara Falls for their anniversary. It was
always hard to pick out what to do... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We had cookouts, New Year s, Christmas gatherings, and even all came together for some good old
baseball games. Family events at Aunt Hattie s were so lively. However, under any circumstances
did Hattie allow any conflict. Hattie always seemed to resolve any fighting that went on even if it
was among adults. She was definitely a peace maker. I remember one time my dad was hollering
at me for not asking if I could go down in the basement and play foosball. Consequently, he made
me sit on the stairs. My Aunt Hattie jumped into that argument undoubtedly quick. She said, All the
kids are welcome to play with any of the toys downstairs, outside, or anywhere that s what they are
there for. She immediately then gave me the permission to go downstairs and play. It tickled me
really. My dad was not easy to win an argument with, but my aunt Hattie made him think twice. She
simply did not allow kids to be restricted from fun while they were

In understanding the difference of database system from conventional file processing system such as
spread sheet, the following attributes helps to know more about it.
Primary Key:
The unique key which we give to the table and creates relationship with the foreign keys in the
other tables is known as a primary key. It removes the risk of redundancy and duplication of data.
Foreign Key:
Foreign key is the primary key on the other table. It is used to link the table with one another. It
ensures that the record for such transaction is present in the former or master table. Let us see the
following diagram for better understanding

Figure.1.

In the above table, we can clearly see that Customer ID in the tblTimeSheet is connected to the
Customer ID in the tblcustomer. We can also see the One to many and many to one relationships in
the relationship database tables above.
Normalization:
Normalization is the process of organizing data in the relational database. The database is split into
tables and record the required information in the given field. The benefit of normalization is that it
reduces data redundancy and dependency of data. (Brett Considine, 2008)

Computer database:
With the increasing requirements of the business world, software developers came up with the
computerized database solution which has multiple built. Computer database reduces the replication
of the data by storing the data at a central location so that everyone can access it

Loch Ness Monster Essay
Existence of a monster in Loch Ness is debated among scientists and enthusiasts. Using sonar and
tracking devices, no bona fide proof that the Loch Ness monster exists has been produced.
However, hearsay and folklore have grasped the attention of some parties. For over 1,500 years,
there has been a lack of significant evidence of the Loch Ness Monster.
In the depths of Loch Ness, Great Britain s largest body of freshwater, the unidentified creature,
affectionately known as Nessie , is believed to take residence (San Souci 14). However, the loch
has many mysteries of its own. For example, the temperature of the water should be cold enough to
freeze over, but it never does (Berke 21). Only twenty miles away, snow falls occur often on the ...

Richard Forrest, a plesiosaurus expert, had stated I haven t heard of any sightings that sound
anything like a plesiosaur, (Owen). He continued, People usually refer to a series of undulating
humps. The plesiosaur, being a reptile, wouldn t undulate but move from side to side. Such
sightings are much more likely to come from mammals such as a row of otters swimming across
the loch (Owen). The size of a prehistoric plesiosaur is approximately 11 meters in length (Owen).
But according to tourists, the size of the Loch Ness monster can range from size of a cow to 9
meters in length (Abels 23). The difference in size between the two creatures has caused a huge
discrepancy. Many photographs of what is believed to have been the Loch Ness monster are
always very blurry, gray and grainy with many dark shadows hiding the object that was
photographed. It is hard for scientists, experts and critics to identify the object of what is allegedly
in the photographs. The British Broadcasting Corporation did an in depth study in 2003 using 600
separate sonar beams and satellite technology to search the loch (Cheung). However, no traces made
by animals as big as the monster were found. The team had hoped to use the air in the beast s lungs
as a reflection, sending the distorted signals back to the sonar sensors (Cheung). The BBC
commented that the only explanation for the persistence of
The Effects Of Risk Management On Health Care Organizations
In the context of risk management, there are several ways that Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
can be used to improve processes in health care organizations. According to Stanley Davis and
colleagues, documenting and analyzing potential risks proactively is essential for improving patient
safety (Davis, et al., n.d.). The article states that Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA) is used
prospectively to identify the possible system failures, and to fix the problems to make the system
more robust before an adverse event actually occurs (Davis, et al., n.d.). In a study conducted by G
Bonfant and colleagues (2010), FMEA was used for chronic hemodialysis outpatients. The authors
recorded phases and activities, listed activity related failure modes and effects, described control
measures, assigned severity, occurrence and detection scores for each failure mode and calculated
the riskpriority numbers (RPNs) by multiplying the 3 scores (Bonfant, et al., 2010). The authors
(2010) also analyzed failure mode causes, made recommendations, and planned new control
measures. Their results showed that the failure modes with the highest RPN was from
communication, and organizing problems (Bonfant, et al., 2010). They (2010) created two tools to
fix the communication flow, including dialysis agenda software, and nursing datasheets. In addition,
the authors scheduled nephrological examinations, and changed medical and nursing organization,
and this resulted in a decrease in RPN value
Royal Bank Porter s Five Forces Model
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is the largest bank in Canada based on market capitalization. The
bank was founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1864 with the name, Merchants Bank of Halifax.
Throughout the years, it has expanded globally through their offices in Canada, the U.S. and 49
other countries around the world. Royal Bankentered the 1990 s financially stable regardless of the
severe economic challenges of the 1980 s. This allowed them to make strategic acquisitions of
companies which paved the way for their transformation from retail bank to global financial services.
RBC operates in 5 segments; the first being Personal Commercial Banking, which consists of its
personal banking operations and certain retail investment businesses. The ... Show more content on

The internet also made it easier and reduced the cost for people to compare the prices of opening
/holding accounts, as well as the rates offered at various banks so the power of the buyer
increases. The pressure coming from threat of substitutes is weak to medium because insurances,
mutual funds, and fixed income securities are a few of the many banking services that are also
offered by non banking companies such as Sony, General Motors, and Microsoft, which offer
preferred financing on big ticket items (ex. Houses, cars, furniture). The pressure coming from the
bargaining power of suppliers is strong because banks have four main suppliers; customer deposits,
mortgages and loans, mortgage baked securities, and loan from other financial institutes; and the
power of the suppliers is heavily based on the market so their power frequently fluctuates between
medium to high. The pressure coming from the threat of new entrants is weak because although
there are a few new banks opening every year, they eventually close down because people have
more trust in big name and well known, major
Volkswagen Case Study
Being the second largest car manufacturer in the world, Volkswagen really dug themselves a deep
hole. According to Bocconi Students Investment Club, The company was discovered cheating on the
emission tests by installing software that limits the harmful fumes produces but only while the
vehicle is being tested. Once on the road, the company s vehicles emission levels exceed the norm
by 10 40 times. While reading the Bocconi Students Investment Club that you have provided for us,
it goes in depth about how this scandal was suppose to help Volkswagenbecome the first car
manufacturer in the world. Volkswagen ethically broke the law by installing these software
systems in their vehicles that lower the NOx levels in the engine of their vehicles ranging from
2009 2015. According to BSIC, At the core of this scandal are the so called defeat devices
installed by Volkswagen on some 11 million cars worldwide. At the moment legal charges have been
brought up on roughly 482,000 diesel vehicles operating in the US under VW and Audibadges. This
investigation started to occur in 2015. According to BSIC When the software dented that it was
being tested, it would change to an alternate engine configuration, lowering toxic NOx levels in
exchange for a drop in performance and fuel economy. Since this discussion about what Volkswagen
did, they have lost a lot of their business. Consumers are not going to want to buy vehicles from this
company any more because of how much money it would cost them to get their car fixed. This
dispute has hurt a lot of people in the process. For an example, it is hurting the consumers because
they have to get their vehicle fixed, the company itself because they are under lawsuits and
potential fines. According to BSIC The serious implications for the firm are expected to not only
include costs arising from fines, lawsuits and recall costs, but also criminal and civil chargers
pursued against individuals directly responsible for the incident. By having all of these lawsuits
and recall costs it is going to cost Volkswagen a lot of money in the long run. According to BSIC
Under the threat of a 18 billion potential fine, the negative reaction of the market has been rapid with
the VW
