Delusional ideation
A multiple regression analysis was run to predict delusional ideation from pathology severity,
perception, memory, speak vs. hear, and imagine vs. hear with forced entry. There was linearity as
assessed by partial regression plots and a plot of studentized residuals against the predicted values.
There was independence of residuals, as assessed by a Durbin Watson statistic of 2.011. There was
homoscedasticity, as assessed by visual inspection of a plot of studentized residuals versus
unstandardized predicted values. There was evidence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were no studentized deleted residuals greater than ±3 standard deviations, no leverage
values greater than 0.2, and values for Cook s distance above 1. The assumption of normality was
met, as assessed by Q Q Plot. The multiple regression model statistically significantly predicted
hallucination history, F(4, 175) = 89.89, p .005, adj. R2 = 66.5%. All variables added statistically
significantly to the prediction, p .05. Regression coefficients and standard errors can be found in
Table 2 (below).

The Impact of the Flinestones and the Simpsons
Throughout American history, many cartoons have impacted the lives of many people today. The
Flintstones was a popular show in the sixties and The Simpson was popular in the nineties. Despite
many similarities between The Simpson and The Flintstones, the differences are not as obvious. In
both shows, the main characters always end up in trouble. Also they both have family situations to
deal with. There is a major difference between the two shows that makes them different from one
another. The main characters are completely different. The Flintstoneswere the greatest TV cartoon
of all time until The Simpsonscame and took the title. The Simpsons and The Flintstones both are
comedies that catch viewers attention. These two shows have been making Americans laugh
every night for 30 minutes for many years. The Flintstones was a show in the sixties that many
families followed. They were a typical nuclear family which meant two parents and their kids.
They were popular because it was making problems that were happening in the world then, and
changing it to the same problem but in the Stone Age. The Flintstones family was made up with
Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Dino, and Baby Puss. Fred was a loving husband and dad that worked at a
rock and gravel company for his boss Mr. Slate. He was easy to get angry. He would spend his
time bowling with his neighbor friend Barney. Wilma is his wife that loves to spend money. Their
daughters name is Pebbles and she has two pets, a dinosaur and
Analysis Of Jan Van Eyck s The Wedding Portrait
Jan Van Eyck began his career as an artist in 1422 and continued until his death in 1441. While
Van Eyck was active, he created many well known paintings. According to John Haber, Van Eyck
was a portraitist who was the first to paint in oils (pg.1). One of his most famous works is Wedding
Portrait, or Giovanni Arnolfini and His Bride. This paintingdepicts a man and a woman holding
hands in matrimony with many symbolic objects surrounding them. The painting was created in
1434 and currently resides at the National Gallery in London. Haber states that The Wedding Portrait,
confront us with a reconstruction rather than a mere representation of the visible world (pg.1).
Haber s quote shows how that The Wedding Portrait has a complex... Show more content on

Then he used the chandelier, curtains, and other accessories to bring visual pleasure to the viewer.
The objects in the painting are easily identifiable, so Van Eyck most likely used contour lines. He
also most likely used a multipoint perspective, because he gave the image a dramatic emphasis. He
drew the room dark with only the light from the window coming in. This can be seen as if God is
shining his light on their marriage, thus creating a dramatic effect. These elements found in the
painting can give the viewer a deeper understanding behind the complex meaning of Jan Van Eyck s
Wedding Portrait. Jan Van Eyck used composition throughout the work to give the viewer a better
understanding of the painting. As show in Figure 1, Wedding Portrait, an asymmetrical balance is
used in the painting. This means that if the painting were to be cut in half, it would not mirror or
reflect itself. There is no rhythm present in Wedding Portrait, because there is no repetition of
elements. In Figure 1, nothing seems to be out of proportion or scaled to a different size. The
painting does seem to have emphasis and accents, and unity throughout the work. The emphasis in
the painting are Giovanni Arnolfini and his wife, because as show in Figure 1, they are in the front
of the painting to show that they are the main focal point. The accents in art, are the lesser focal
points of the painting. In Wedding Portrait
Plaque Psoriasis Research Paper
BACKGROUND:
Psoriasis is a multi systemic, chronic, inflammatory disease, with the most common manifestations
being in the skin and joints.4, 5 It is estimated that 1 3% of the population has psoriasis, though it
may be less prevalent in Africa and Asia than other parts of the world.5 Psoriasis is further divided
into different categories, the most common of which is plaque psoriasis, which affects 80 90% of
patients with psoriasis.4 The defining characteristic of plaque psoriasis is the presence of
erythematous, sharply demarcated, scaly, white or silver plaques, which can range in their size and
coverage of the body.4 These plaques may be itchy and bleed if disturbed.5 The most common sites
for plaques are the trunk, buttocks, scalp, and limbs.4 Additionally about 1/3 of patients with plaque
psoriasis also suffer from nail pitting or dystrophy,6 and 1/3 of patients with psoriasis also have
psoriatic arthritis, which manifests in the joints.7 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

regions, which include hands, feet, face, and genitals.4, 8 Family history is prevalent in 1/3 of
patients with psoriasis.6 Additionally, there are many environmental triggers of psoriasis, including
smoking, stress, cold weather, alcohol abuse, and drugs such as beta blockers, lithium, NSAIDs,
and tetracyclines.8 Though psoriasis is primarily known as a skin and joint condition, it can also
increase the risk of non melanoma skin cancer, lymphoma, and cardiovascular disease.6 Psoriasis

Business Process Outsourcing ( Bpo ) Industry Essay
3.0 Marketing 3.1 Industry Voxpro is operating in the business process outsourcing (BPO)
industry. The BPO sector has several key market drivers the first one being the rising awareness
among firms about the advantages of outpouring some of which include cost saving, improved
service provision, it allow the company to focus on their main production areas, and it enables
the company to partner with skilled manpower (Mello 2014, p. 268). Hence, BPO is a popular
sector and very marketable among firms that are looking for specialized services. The other
market driver that makes BPO sector marketable is the need for global firms to reduce their cost
and de risk business operations in a fluctuating global economy. The rise and fall of gas and oil
prices, the surge in terrorism and instability in some Arab countries, and the increase of immigration
are among some of the factors that are causing global economic instability. The growing demand of
BPO services in technology, financial, retail, and manufacturing industries makes BPO very
lucrative among global brands whose main goal in growth and penetrating new markets. Another
key driver is the convergence of social media platforms, web and mobile applications, which have
become the main way by which customers to access information and purchase products and services.
Lastly, the current trend of multi source approach whereby IT operations and architecture are
contracted to multiple vendors. Voxpro is helps firms achieve all the
Bilingual Education Essay
Bilingual Education
Education is very important. There use to be a time when you didn t have to go to school. When it
was only important for men to have an education. Times have really changed. Now it is crucial for
everyone in our society to have an education. Survival is the main reason: a cohesive society is
another. Our schools today need to keep Bilingual education as a tool for teaching: not only for the
sake of our society but also for the sense of our culture.
Bilingual education in our schools is crucial: but still there is talk about banning the use of foreign
language in the instruction of our young children. We have to work to change that kind of attitude. We

As a relook at Tucson 66 states, the number of English speakers in the Western Hemisphere is only
slightly larger than that of Spanish speakers. By the year 2000 the number of Spanish speakers will
be far greater than the number of english speakers. Statistics indicate that the United States is now
one of the major Spanish American countries. One statistical example: If the figures on illegal
Mexican aliens are correct, that means that every year the United States adds another city the size of
Albuquerque and Tucson combined. Or, put it another way, it adds another state larger in population
than Wyoming and Alaska combined (a relook at Tucson 14).

The policy of most governments toward bilingualism in the home is and long has been one of
neglect. A few countries actively encourage it, especially if the quot;second quot; (non community)
language is the more important language in the country or in the world, or if the quot;minority quot;
(community) language is the language of a group given special consideration under the law. Many
countries, which have recently been colonies, for example, encourage their young people to learn
the language of their former quot;Mother Country quot;, because bilingualism of this type is
important in international trade and politics. However, we could find castles full of research and
still very little is being done in public

Can Utilitarianism Be Defended Against The Injustice...
Can Utilitarianism be defended against the Injustice Objection? In this essay, I will argue that
utilitarianism cannot be defended against the injustice objection. Utilitarians may be able to reply to
the injustice objection in some cases by invoking one of two replies, the Long term consequences
reply, in which utilitarians will avoid unjust actions that increase short term utility because in the
long term they will not lead to the greatest good. The other reply that may help utilitarianismavoid
injustice in some cases is the Secondary principles reply, where some rule based principles such as
not murdering (because it generally decreases happiness) may avoid injustice. However, I will focus
on the bite the bullet objection,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of this is in the case of R v Dudley and Stephens (1884), where Dudley, Stephens, and
Brookes ate the cabin boy Parker, after they were shipwrecked for 24 days at sea. Although this act
maximised utility for the most people, Parker s rights were infringed upon as he did not agree to
being killed and eaten. Therefore when we add up the pain and pleasures of all those affected we
may end up infringing someone s rights. The act that maximises utility may cause unhappiness and
misery for the minority.
There are three standard replies to the injustice objection. The first being the Long term
consequences objection, where a person following utilitarianism is not obligated to commit an
injustice, and that person should take into account the long term consequences of their actions. An
example I would like to refer to is the harvesting organs example. Where there are five sick people
in hospital and they all need organ transplants, at the same time a sixth patient is undergoing a
routine checkup. A transplant surgeon finds that the only way of saving the five would be to kill the
sixth person and harvest their organs. Utilitarianism would state that we should harvest the organs of
person 6 without his permission to save the lives of the five other people who are dying. A utilitarian
would explain that the action of

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS INTELLIGENCE OFFICER
The United States Marine Corps is looking for a Few Good Men for their Officer Corps. There are a
few different ways to achieve the rank of Second Lieutenant. Some officers go straight from college
to a recruiter, and others join as an enlisted Marine and apply for an officer rank later in their career.
I am applying for a commission from the enlisted ranks. I have found that enlisted to officer
programs have many requirements and can be somewhat confusing, but the goal of making a move
from enlisted to officer can be accomplished as long as I are willing to put forth the effort to achieve
that goal.

Once OCS is completed, I will be transferred to The Basic School for field training. Officer
Candidate School is ten weeks long and The Basic School is six months long (Marine Corps
University). All Marine Officers must attend these two schools. During field training at The Basic
School, I will receive my military occupational specialty as an intelligence officer.
As a new intelligence officer, I will be required to receive formal education through various
intelligence schools. The first step in my intelligence training will be approached at the Navy and
Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center. At this school I will receive intelligence schooling in
fundamentals, analysis, and interpretation (The Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training
Center). I will then be transferred to Goodfellow Air Force Base for training within Signals
intelligence, imagery intelligence, or human intelligence.
Upon completion of the my bachelor s degree, acceptance through the ECP, Officer Candidate
School, The Basic School, Initial Intelligence Training, and Military Occupational Specialty
Intelligence Training, I will receive orders back to the Fleet Marine Forces. The move from the
enlisted ranks to the officer ranks may be very confusing, but this goal can be accomplished as long
as I stay focused and move one step at a time.

INTRODUCTION
Monetary policy takes central part in discussions on how to promote low inflation and sustainable
growth in the economy. Monetary policy operates as a tool to reduce prices during inflation and
enhance growth in recession times. Its basic objective is improvement of price stability and
achievement of high employment levels in the economy. Thus monetary policy not only fosters
economic prosperity but also safeguards people s welfare.
An understanding of those mechanisms through which monetary policy affects economy is very
crucial for the successful undertaking of monetary policy. There exist a number of crucial channels
that have been identified in this context. These channels are;
1.Interest rate channel
2.Credit channels
Bank lending channel
Balance sheet channels
3.Exchange rate channel
4.Equities channels
Tobin s q theory
Wealth effects
These channels generally reinforce each other they all move aggregate expenditures in the same
direction. All channels serve to increase aggregate expenditures with expansionary monetary policy
and reduce aggregate expenditures with contractionary monetary policy. This paper seeks to explain
these transmission mechanisms and

Designer Paper: Viktor and Rolf and Elie Saab
Viktor and Rolf are an inseparable duo in the fashion world and I was in awe the moment I saw
their work. I was planing on researching only one side of the duo for Haute couture but all the
information on them is in sync. When in Arnhem, The Netherlands in 1992 Viktor Horsting and Rolf
Snoeren graduated from ArtEZ institute and started their journey together(Heritage, 2015). After
graduating The duo worked hard to develop their first line that premiered in 1993 (Heritage, 2015).
The duo was so successful with their lines they were recognized and showcased their first Haute
couture show in 1998 (Heritage, 2015).

The dutch men have collaborated with Loreal to create a scent for the brand labeled Flowerbomb.
Then also partnered with H M. The men have also created fashion eyewear and a shoe line. With the
build up of their brand the duo has recently announced some huge news.
Viktor and Rolf have recently announced that they will no longer continue in ready to wear and
strictly focus on haute couture. They state that ready to wear is creatively restricting (Socha,
M.,2015, February). The announcement happened after their most recent collection for fall/winter
2015/16. The show was breathtaking. Victor states that The idea was wearable art. now that we are
concentrating on couture we wanted to emphasize very literally how we have artistic roots and how
fashion can be art in our universe.
Viktor and Rolf have been very successful at creating a name for themselves. This success has led
to interest in there haute couture lines. Because of the major breakthroughs and innovative
collections the men will continue to grow. Their strong point is art and dropping their ready to
wear line will allow them to continue to push the boundaries in fashion, inspire, and awe crowds.
Viktor and Rolf have established a name and keep living up to their title. They only continue to push
and strive to invent new concepts. I expect Viktor and Rolf to define new terms for fashion and art.
For my ready to wear designer I have chosen Elie Saab. I was drawn in by Saab s
Recitatif Theme Essay
he title of Toni Morrison s short story, Recitatif, means, among other things, a recital of some sort,
and the protagonist, Twyla, provides us with a recital of her connect with Roberta, also placed in
the shelter where Twyla once lived. Morrison s parents taught her much about understanding racism
and growing up in predominantly white America. Her father was pessimistic about whites and
blacks learning to tolerate each other, but Toni s mother was much more optimistic. It is no surprise,
then, that Morrison s themes would address these issues. The theme of prejudice runs through the
story, which Twyla introduces early on when she tells Old Bozo that her mother won t like her

The first time, Roberta is going through a hippie phase, on her way to see Jimi Hendrix Twyla

Next they meet as adults and they seem to enjoy reconnecting. The third time they meet again, it
is across picket lines where white women fight bussing that will integrate schools, and both are
on opposite sides. There is still a connection, but paradoxically, they are enemies. The divide here
is a racial one. The last time they meet, Roberta is a little drunk and speaks honestly with her old
friend. Robert s preoccupation is about whatever happened to Maggie? This may symbolize
Roberta sense of personal failure for not standing up for the woman and that she really wanted to
hurt he this may parallel her struggle with Twyla. The story may thematically parallel the struggles
between whites a blacks of the time. However, perhaps it also demonstrates that some connections
can be made regardless of color, and that once in place, those threads cannot easily be severed. In
this we may see Morrison s mother s optimistic view of peace between the
