Energy Sources Of Solar Energy
The earth has lots of energy sources such as nuclear energy, fossil energy, and renewable sources.
Solar, wind, geothermal, and water are renewable sources of energy. These energy sources are
clean. They do not produce any pollution. But the most reliable energy source is the sun. The sun is
an important part of living things. It produces an energy called solar energy. Solar energy is the earth
s main source of energy which can be transformed into heat and electricity. Its energy was used to
heat and to light homes during the earliest centuries. Without the sun, living things on earth
would not surely survive because it would be extremely cold and dark. According to the article
Solar Energy, every year the sun carries an average of 1.5 kilowatt hours of energy to the earth in
the form of visible light, X ray, ultraviolet, and infrared radiation (Solar Energy). Solar energy can
be converted into electricity in two ways. The first one is with the use of solar thermal or electric
power plants that creates power by concentrating the sun s energy to heat the liquid and produce
steam which is used to power a generator. (Solar Explained). This is mostly similar to coal and
nuclear powerplant.
Another way is by using photovoltaic cells or solar cells that transform sunlight directly into
electricity (Solar Explained). In May 1954, photovoltaic cell, which is made out of a semiconductor
called silicon, was developed by three research scientists at Bell Telecommunication
Ethics Case Study Summary
Summary In this case study a view of ethics or social responsibility is presented. The case study
addresses what some applicants are willing to do in order to obtain the job being pursued or to
get ahead. A few applicants are willing to change or misrepresent a small fact on their application
or resume (Gomez Mejia, Balkin, Cardy, 2016). Some alterations are to conceal information that
is protected by law such as date of birth (Gomez Mejia, Balkin, Cardy, 2016). Other times the
alterations are made to make an applicant appear more qualified in order to obtain a job being
sought (Gomez Mejia, Balkin, Cardy, 2016). Reasoning for the alterations aside, misrepresentations
on resumes by applicants happens about 30% of the time (Gomez Mejia, Balkin, Cardy, 2016).
Resume/Job Application Fraud Misrepresentations, on resumes or applications, no matter the size or
issue are considered fraud. While at the time the applicant may deem the actions harmless, the
actions really are not. Fraud is a concern for any organization for varying reasons. One... Show more

An example, a case mentioned in the Employee Relations Law Journal, Carlsen v. Wackenhut
Corp. This involved Futi, a security guard, hired to help provide security at a concert, but ended
up trying to rape a female attendee (as cited in Bible, 2012). Futi s application contained
inconsistencies and many omissions were made by him (as cited in Bible, 2012). The hiring
company felt it was unnecessary to run a background check, which would have returned a record
of prior convictions and pending warrants (as cited in Bible, 2012). Because of the careless on
behalf of Wackenhut Corp. they were found liable for Futi s actions (as cited in Bible, 2012). A

Descartes Ontological Argument For God s Existence
In Descartes Meditations a problem termed the Cartesian Circle arises. Critics accuse Descartes
of arguing with circular reasoning. Simply, the Cartesian Circle is we are sure that what we
clearly and distinctly perceive is true only because God exists. But we can be sure that God exists
only because we clearly and distinctly perceive this. (Objections and Replies, 214). Descartes
counters the critics with the example of memory. Descartes believes that although we clearly and
distinctly perceive in the present, God is necessary to continually affirm clear and distinct perception
when we remember that clear and distinct perception. Descartes response is not sufficient to
breaking the circle. Moreover, I assert that Descartes or any other... Show more content on

The reasoning is we know that God is not a deceiver because God is supremely benevolent by
nature. Since deception would not be good and not being good would be an imperfection, God is
supremely benevolent by nature. In other words, since deceiving us would not be in God s
supremely good nature, we can trust that our clear and distinct perceptions are true. An objection
to this second section is that we are deceived occasionally be it by sense or believing that the
Earth is the center of the universe. If God would not deceive us, why are we deceived? Descartes
replies by searching for the source of error. He discovers that error occurs when our will extends
over understanding. When the will extends over understanding, we are assenting to something
beyond the scope of our understanding. When we are not indifferent about things we have doubt
about, we commit an error. However, when we remain unresponsive about things and a clear and
distinct perception forces itself upon us, we should believe it. Descartes believes then that God
gave us a perfect faculty to gain knowledge, but that we misuse it by extending our will greater than
our understanding. Therefore, when we are deceived, it is our error and not
Cohabitation And Its Effects On The Stability Of...
Introduction
In 2016, cohabitation is increasingly more common amongst couples in the United States.
Simultaneously, cohabitation is a family form that progressively includes children (Manning Lamb,
2003). Additionally, marital status serves as an indicator of qualities and characteristics of the child
s family life. Existing literature specifies that children in cohabiting stepparent families fare worse
than children living with two married, biological parents (Manning Lamb, 2003). As cohabitation is
occurring more commonly, it is essential to understand the positive and negative effects cohabitation
maintains on the quality of family life. Moreover, this study will analyze the holistic effects
cohabitation maintains on the stability of relationship.

Cohabitation and Children Simultaneously, as cohabitation becomes more common in the United
States, substantially more children are growing up in households characterized by two cohabiting
adults. In today s society, about 40% of children in the United States experience living with
cohabitating parents before the age of 12 (Kennedy Bumpass, 2008). Although there is a lack of
research on the implications of cohabitation on children, the marital status of a child s parent serves
as a main indicator of the child s well being. In 2011, Schmeer found that children have worse
outcomes when living in cohabiting than in married parent families. Due to the insufficient access
of resources, children raised by two non married
The Pros And Cons Of The NFL Protests
The NFL protests started back in 2016 with Colin Kaepernick. He quietly started sitting during the
anthem, and eventually kneeling, to protest police brutality. He said that he would not stand to
show pride for a flag that oppresses black people. Other players soon joined the movement, and
fans criticized them because they said that they were disrespecting the United States. The protests
really blew up this year after President Donald Trump said that NFL players that are kneeling
should be fired, and he even called them sons of b*****s. After this, many NFL players and teams
started to kneel and lock arms during the National Anthem, and some even stayed in their locker
rooms during the National Anthem. Protests have continued for weeks, and this has divided fans.
Many fans support the players decisions, but many also do not support them, and have threatened to
boycott the NFL. This led to Roger Goodell, the League Commissioner, to send a letter to all the
NFL teams asking them to stand for the National Anthem. A few Sundays ago, Jerry Jones, the
Dallas Cowboys owner, threatened to bench any Cowboys players that didn t stand for the National
Anthem. President Trump supported his views, and went further to say that Colin Kaepernick
should have been suspended for kneeling last year. This led to debates about what laws the protests
are protected under, and whether the NFL and its owners can legally stop them or not. The First

Exclusionary Rule Essay
The United States Constitution has a search and seizure requirement provided for in the Fourth
Amendment. The constitution seeks to protect the privacy of its citizens from arbitrary and
unfounded searches in their private property. The amendment broadens the scope of searches and
seizure, where it prevents the government from exploiting the privacy of citizens when they are at
their homes, places of work, and even public places. It prevents law enforcement groups from
randomly stopping citizens on the streets and searching them without probable cause to do the same
(Re, 2014). The exclusionary ruleensures that law enforcers abide by the provision of the fourth
amendment. It prevents evidence that is attained from unreasonable searches and seizuresfrom being
used against suspects in a court of law. A case that illustrates the same... Show more content on

The prosecution has to showcase there is sufficient reason to believe that the suspect committed or
was involved in a certain crime, and that evidence from the same can be attained when the police
search their premises, business, or other property related to the same (Blitz, 2017). The officer
must showcase that he is seeking the search warrant in good faith as opposed to it being an
overreach that would only jeopardize the suspects rights, or under malicious motivations. The
information leading to the need for a search warrant should be reliable and show beyond a
reasonable doubt that there is probable cause. Furthermore, the said warrant ought to be granted by
a Judge or magistrate who is impartial, and it should be very specific about the location of the search

401k Retirement Plan
Despite the $5.5 trillion invested in retirement and savings plans, many Americans are primed for a
lower standard of living during their golden years. Since Social Security and defined benefit plans
are becoming a thing of the past, Americans are relying heavily on their own investments later in
life. Defined benefit plans have given way for the rise of 401k and IRA plans which are defined by
contributions of the individual. Employee sponsored programs in 401ks have been flocked to for
their flexibility, tax efficiency and high contribution limits when compared to other retirement
accounts. The Retirement Crisis Many employees take retirement benefits for granted, but the sad
truth remains that almost half the working population is employed... Show more content on

Now that 401k and IRA plans are the sole form of retirement planning, it has become a problem for
Americans to save anything. Employee sponsored 401k plans have become the status quo in
retirement planning but not all employers are able to offer the benefit. The emergence of automated
investment platforms aims to tackling this problem making them easily accessible for businesses of
all sizes. While its effect wont be felt for another few years it s a great first step to addressing the

The City States of Spart and Athens in Ancient Greece Essay
Around the year 500 BCE many poleis existed in ancient Greece. Two of the main poleis, or city
states in Greece, were Sparta and Athens. Although both of the city states were located in the same
area of the world; they had different ways of living. Sparta and Athens had many differences in how
they ran their city states. There were many political, economic, and social differences between the
two city states. Spartaand Athens may have had their differences but they fought side by side against
the Persian invaders. The city states fought off the Persians and brought in the Golden Age of Greece

They had a system of social equality in their polis. Athens had an unregulated economy which
created a large gap between the lower class and upper class. This economic system caused some
tension among the citizens of Athens. There were many differences in how people lived in the
two city states. Sparta took pride in their military. All Spartan boys were trained to become
professional soldiers. At the age of six or seven a boy would leave home and train at a military
school. Sparta put a lot of effort into creating a strong and powerful army. Sparta had the strongest
army in all of Greece. Many opportunities opened up back at home for women since the men were
out at war. Women in Sparta had freedom and were treated well, unlike women in the other city
states of Greece. The citizens of Athens were mainly farmers. They would grow food for their
families. The Athenians were not represented well by their government, so they had to depend on
themselves. The poleis of Sparta and Athens may have had different ways of living, but they stuck
together to defend their homeland and defeat the Persians. If the two poleis wouldn t have fought
side by side the culture and history of Greece would look very different. If The Persians would
have won the war, the time period of peace and prosperity known as the Golden Age of Greece
would have never came around. During this time famous philosophers came around such as
