Examples Of Human Emotions In Frankenstein
Human Emotions and The Creature Frankenstein is a novel by Mary Shelley that challenges the
reader to consider what it really means to be human, specifically when impacted by loneliness and
isolation. In the opening letters of Frankenstein, Captain Robert Walton craves a real connection
with someone while out at sea, and feels sad and isolated as a result. Later in the novel, Victor
Frankenstein is disconnected from the outside world and feels misunderstood, so he recreates life in
his isolation. Most importantly, however, the creature is provoked by his isolation and loneliness to
act out against the world around him. His actions are driven by his experiences with humanity, and
although he is not actually a human, the creature experiences real human emotions. The creature
desires to be accepted, loved, and understood, and when these desires become unattainable, he feels
lonely, bitter, and angry, just as any human would. Near the beginning of volume II, Frankenstein
ventures into the Alps in an attempt to escape his guilt after the creature kills his brother. In the
meantime, the creature escapes into the wilderness to avoid rejection. Their lives collide, and they
are full of bitterness and resentment toward one another. The interaction between the two provides
evidence that the creature does in fact experience real human emotions. The creature tells
Frankenstein: You, my creator, abhor me; what hope can I gather from your fellow creatures, who

Leatherback Sea Turtle Research Paper
The leatherback sea turtle or lute turtle is scientifically referred to as Dermochelys coriacea and is
the largest living reptiles and marine turtle. The leatherback sea turtle is apart of the
Dermochelyidae family and is the only living species in the genus Dermochelys. The leatherback
sea turtle can grow up to seven feet and surpass 2,000 pounds making it the largest turtle on the
globe. The ancestry of the reptilian species can be traces back more than 100 million years and has
been found in each ocean with the exception of the Arctic and Antarctic, be that as it may, the lute
turtle population has been declining rapidly in numerous parts of the world. Leatherbacks have the
most extensive worldwide appropriation of all reptilespecies, and... Show more content on

Because of the leatherback shell rareness its carapace is secured by skin and a slick substance.
Leatherbacks have a distinctive system of blood supple to their bones and cartilage. This distinctive
system allows them to maintain a certain body temperature which gives them the capability of
staying a few degrees above the water temperature, this allows them to cope with lower water
temperature like a mammal. The lute turtle is also able to plunge deeper than any other marine turtle
with a depths of up to 1,280 meters and has the ability to stay submerged for up to 85 minutes.
Research done one the leatherback turtle s DNA shows that Atlantic and Pacific inhabitants has
inherently distinct ancestries of a sole species. The nesting Pacific inhabitants are divided into two
(eastern and western) genetically distinct inhabitants. The Pacific eastern population can be found of
the shorelines of Florida and the western population can be located on the California coast living in
small numbers. The settling and birth season ranges from mid February through mid November and
because the ocean turtles are defenseless against human changes to the marine environment their
settling at shorelines is proving to be difficulty. This review article discusses the taxonomy,
classification, evolution, anatomy and reproduction of the leatherback sea turtle while
Family Background Of Jeff Bezos
Essay on Jeff Bezos Q1 Family Background Jeff Bezos is an American retail entrepreneur mostly
well known as the founder and CEO of Amazon. Bezos was born to an upper middle income
family from Texas, his mother was a housewife while his father was engineer for Exxon. Bezos
grandfather was the regional director of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission he was a constant
influence in Jeff s life, with his wide ranging knowledge of science, he encouraged Jeff to follow the
same path that he did. Many entrepreneurial leaders start at a young age, the experience they gain
through education and time spent in a more traditional business like environment is vital to their
future success. (Nature or Nurture, 2017) Jeff showed an aptitude for computers and... Show more

Q2. Portfolio Entrepreneur A category of habitual owner in which the owners own more than one
business at a time. They retain his/her original business and establish and /or purchase another
business. (Hall, 1995, p.220) Even though Bezos remains the head of Amazon, he has purchased or
established companies that he manages at the same time as Amazon. Examples include Blue origin
which is a spaceflight services company and a book review site by the name of Good Reads. Bezos
is a portfolio entrepreneur because while building Amazon into the globally strong company he
never considered selling the company and moving onto the next business venture, but rather wanted
to build his own business empire. Bezos is also there not necessarily to make money but also make a
societal and environmental impact through philanthropist efforts such as blue origin which aims to
colonize other planets and Crowd rise which is crowdsourcing for various charities around the
Non Violent Protests In The Civil Rights Movement
Throughout the 1950s and the 1960s, civil rights activists started protesting for change. In the US
and Australia there were many significant protests undertaken by different groups of brave
individuals all to invoke change. Some of the most influential protests were the Montgomery Bus
Boycott and the American and Australian Freedom Rides. These protests mainly used the tactic of
non violent protests however, they also used boycotts and demonstrations. These protests brought
great change to the way that the African Americans were treated in the US and the Indigenous
people in Australia, because it forced the public to acknowledge the hardships that they had to face
from segregation. The main tactic used by civil rights activists in both Australian and the United
states was non violent protests. This is when the activists would protest with methods that would not
harm anybody. This was done because the civil rights activists did not want to sink down to their
oppressor s level and also so that no legal action could be inflicted on the African American
community. The freedom rides in the United States were perfect examples of non violent protests as
the leaders of these actions would not harm anybody in the course of change. Martin Luther King
was a key aspect of the entire Civil Rights Movement including the Freedom Rides and he believed
that Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon, which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man
who wields it. It is a sword that
Frederick Douglass and Benjamin Franklin
Frederick Douglass and Benjamin Franklin
American success history recognizes the contributions made by two of its renowned leaders. The
two are regarded as heroes despite the obvious differences between them abound. The two figures are
regarded with comparable amounts of reverence even though they lived their lives in different ways.
Nevertheless, both Benjamin Franklin and Fredrick Douglas gained their status through treading
pathway of hard work. This paper, therefore, seeks to discuss the experiences that shaped the lives
of both Franklin and Douglas. It also seeks to analyze the life of Fredrick Douglas as presented by
John Stauffer. In comparing the two personalities, I will lay much emphasis on the role education

He was in early 1817 on one of the plantations of Maryland. The identity of Douglas s father and
exact date of birth is not well known, but it is assumed to be a white man from a family who owned
his mother. Harriet Bailey originally named his son Fredrick Bailey but, unfortunately, he parted
with his mother while still young and was raised by other slaves in the plantation (Douglas 67).
Fredrick Douglas went to the North and was married to Anna Murray, a black woman who
married him in New York City. They then fled to New Bedford where Douglas found work as a
laborer. In around 1841, Douglas had an opportunity of attending the Massachusetts Anti Slavery
society which was held in Nantucket. It was during this time that he got on stage and delivered a
speech which moved the crowd. He delivered his life as a slave with passion such that he was
encouraged to dedicate himself in speaking against slavery (Douglas 45). This marked the beginning
of his activism in northern states. For instance, in 1843, he was nearly killed while giving out a
speech in Indiana.
During the 1850s, Douglas was in the fore front in abolishing slavery, which was threatening, to
tear the country apart. In the beginning, Douglas felt that John Brown s anti slavery ideas and
plans were suicidal and he refused to engage in a raid on Harper Ferry. Brown s activities saw him
captured and hanged, an act which
Importance of Identity in Anglo
J. M. Synge is one of the most prominent Irish writers of the twentieth century; his writing
characterizes a broad, multifaceted range of political, social and religious anxieties shaping
Ireland for the duration of its most remarkable period of change, which transformed the place
from a relatively peaceful country to a more political and aggressive location. The picture Synge
creates shows us that the question of identity relating to Ireland is problematic; however it has
produced and provoked some of the greatest literature of the century. As G. J. Watson has asserted:
However painful the question of identity may be for the Irish in real life, it has functioned, deeply
embedded as it is in the Irish political and literary... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ronan McDonald states: Enter the playboy Christy Mahon. Christy s poetry, like the cultural
flowering of the Ascendancy, is based on a dirty deed that is aestheticized as a gallous story. In
the course of the action it is exposed and then transcended. Christy comes to the Mayoites
carrying a mark of culpability which, in the course of the play, he is privileged to purge. Culture
confronts and expiates its violent origins in the controlled laboratory of the stage. The play
comically, but unnervingly, explores the process by which violence is glorified and
aestheticized. Yet it also, by a theatrical slight of hand, reveals the violence as chimerical, and
allows Christy to pass through and survive the implications of his supposed atrocity. Ireland is
shown for what it is; Synge offers us a critique which is almost satirical. There is a mystical
quality to Ireland which is emphasised by its storytelling and folklore (Shanaitue), in which the
Irish are a `nation of heroes ; a notion which is explored through the figure of Christy who is
himself a `Christ like figure as he almost brings his father back from the dead in a sense. There is a
sub textual reference to the New Testament in this father son relationship; Christy is in conflict with
his father and in a certain respect he is `sacrificed when he is burnt because he did not live up to the
expectations people had of him. Synge treats the conflict between the relations with irony, and it is
Gear Accountability Essay
Mitchell Strohmeyer Lance Corporal Uch 3/4 Kilo 20120811 Importance of Gear Accountability
Gear accountability is very important in the Marine Corp. What would a Marine do in a combat
environment if he left his Kevlar back at the rear? None of his brother s would just happen to pull
out an extra for him to borrow for the patrol. The same fundamentals apply to any other significant
equipment items. In combat environments all the gear issued is issued for a reason, whether it is
something as major as a rifle or something as small as a flashlight. It is even wise to sometimes
bring unrequired gear like an e tool just in case. I will try to explain why Marines need their gear,
what they can do to prevent it, and what could happen... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What also happens is people just lose things and have no idea until later when they need it.
Marines lose things because of a few reasons. Probably the most common is when they are being
hurried, which is pretty much 100% of the time. The other common reason is because a lot of
junior Marines are young, irresponsible, and inexperienced. I m pretty confident that most of the
senior Marines here didn t start at the level of responsibility or leadership that they are currently
at, but have been through what the younger marines are going through and learned from their
mistakes, and now trying to teach us so we don t make them as much as we might without the
seniors. Most junior Marines, no matter their age, haven t lived the experiences that have helped
mold our seniors. These are the reasons that even Marines older than some of the seniors aren t as
mentally mature as the Marines that may be younger but have much more experience. This is the
same reason we do police calls immediately following ranges, to ensure that nothing is overlooked.
They realize that we are deploying with them and that we will be the ones to their left and right
and will be depending on us to make it home to their families, so they need us to be as prepared as
them. Losing a piece of gear is much more serious than an item lost in the rear during training, not
only will a lost piece of gear possibly take time to get

Everyone had believed they weighed nothing whatsoever, But until Takaaki Kajita and Arthur B.
