Technology In Education
Technologies role

We are living in a country that is called a technologically civilized society. The use of the Internet has
not changed the way that we think but it is making unique contributions in classrooms by providing
us with immediate and convenient access to an extraordinary amount of ideas and information. In
the world that we currently live in, technology is a very vital factor . Today most people are more
familiar with the gadget they carry in their backpack or even in their pocket; which is technically
advanced. Every other day a new software device is being brought into the marketplace that helps to
improve our knowledge in and out of school. in one way, the internet provides a much easier
opportunity in education for student everywhere with access to all kinds of books available at any
time. However, it is important to note that despite the fact that technology plays a big role in
making our school lives much easier, it is not the only role it has. The internet seems to be
impairing our ability to focus and to think deeply on any subject. The more technology continues to
grow, the more improvement it provides in education level for certain students while for others it
has a very different effect in the way we read and take in information. Furthermore, I will be
discussing both pros and cons of the way technology is used in and out of our schools today.

Technology is increasingly
The Pros And Cons Of The Palestine-Israel Conflict
BBC, CNN, the Fox News etc. Many ordinary people get news or information from the newspaper,
or from these kinds of TV news, but these medias have the same features. They are famous and have
sponsors. What this means is that if they are famous and have sponsors, the way to tell people about
one incident is the way the sponsors want. For instance, there is PalestineIsraelconflict, which Israel
is occupying the Palestinian land. However, because the Japanese, American and British news is all
for Israel, people almost never hear negative news of Israel. For centuries, there was no such conflict
between them, but this whole conflict grew due to the immigration of the Zionists, the extremist
minority of the Jewish population who colonized to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the reasons why the Palestine Israel conflict was made, was because of the United
Kingdom. That country made a deal with both Palestine and Israel, that the UK would help them
make a new country at a holy land. This was impossible to do, nevertheless, UK still tried to make
it, but failed. If the UK did not make a deal with both countries, this conflict and many incidents
might be not happening. Famous and major media news channel, newspaper, and website, BBC
world news made a news report that says Israeli Palestinian conflict: Is one homeland the
solution? . This page was all about what the Palestinian and the Israeli want to do and what they
should do as a plan. It is understandable that there should be many kinds of news, for instance, a
news just summarizing the fact, or a news interview, but to tell people about the fact, people should
know the background information. If there is no background information, it would be hard for the
readers to understand the deepness of topic or conflict. The reason to hide the background
information from the readers is that the topic is something that has some influence on the major
media company, or the sponsor company. For this case, because the BBC is in the UK, they hide
the background information so that the UK citizens would not think that their country is a bad
country. Moreover, this can be said in a Japanese media, too. Mr. Furuya, a social studies teacher in
TGUISS, stated that Japanese history textbooks are changed to avoid them from thinking that Japan
is a bad country. What this means is that Japanese history has original and abnormal history, but on
the other hand, it sometimes was wrong as a teaching. For instance, the teachings of World War II
are impossible as a society nowadays, so when the teachers teach about this, the children might think

Perks Of Being A Wallflower Movie And Book Comparison Essay
A few days ago, I was finally able to watch the long awaited movie adaptation of Stephan Chbosky
s epistolary novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The movie follows awkward introvert Charlie
Kelmeckis as he copes with the suicide of his best friend, starting high school, his first love, and his
raging mental illness while struggling to find a group of friends with which he belongs. It was
evident from the beginning that the author was heavily influenced by J.D. Salinger s The Catcher in
the Rye. Holden, just like Charlie, is also a troubled teenage boy with many underlying issues that he
struggles to deal with while attempting to understand his own identity. However, while both
storylines seem similar at first, upon closer examination, I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Holden is fixated on individuality and not being phony, while Charlie is infatuated with
happiness. When reading The Catcher in the Rye, it is not difficult to notice Holden s hate for
phoniness. Avoiding that one trait seems to be the deciding factor when making most of his
spontaneous decisions. The way Holden talks about phoniness with such malice made me fully
agree with him. In a world filled with such pretentiousness, people should definitely try to hold on
to whatever integrity they have left, not change to accommodate what others expect from them.
That is where Charlie s character contradicts Holden s the most. Charlie always conforms to the
wishes of others to make them happy. He is willing to be whatever others want him to be and
hardly ever stands by his personal opinions. Charlie firmly believes that by propitiating everyone
around him, it will ultimately lead to his own happiness. I find it quite ironic that a character so
heavily based on Holden Caulfield would so accurately personify everything wrong with the world
in Holden s eyes, but I suppose that is where the similarities in the two characters
Curleys Wife Analysis
Curly s Wife
Curlys Wife is a very powerful and yet powerless character within the novel Of Mice and Men as
Steinbeck uses her to reflect the prejudice against women in the 1930s since they had very little
rights. Just from her title Curlys Wife she has no actual name, this shows that she is just Curlys
property and powerless in the sense that she hasn t got her own individual identity, only an identity
through her husband, also she doesn t have enough power to be called a woman instead she is
discriminated against and is called derogatory terms such as a tart when Slim first speaks of her to
George by saying I think Curly married a tart showing no respect for her

From the beginning of when she is introduced in the novel she ... Show more content on

From the word soft in the sentence The sun streaks were high on the wall by now, and the light
was growing soft we are reminded of Curlys Wife s soft velvet hair that Lennie liked and lost
control with, taking us back to the seriousness of her death and feeling empathy for her character

To conclude, Steinbeck uses Curlys Wife to get the readers awareness of how much women were
discriminated against in the 1930s and how lonely and isolated she was because of her being a
female. She wasn t seen as her own individual person but as a strand of someone else; her husband
Curly. She used her best quality: her beauty to get the attention of the other guys on the ranch
because she doesn t like her husband Curly and had a dream to become a famous actress in the
Movies. She went past the rule of staying away from Lennie because of her desire to be noticed
and be listened to by someone, this then led to her death which added to the part of everyone s

The Sea By Pablo Neruda
When I was a little girl at early of my age, I spent a wonderful time with my grandma near a sea in
my hometown during the last two months of her life. That was the first time we saw the smile
back to her face since we got the news that she got intestine cancer. Back to that time I was deeply
impressed by how being around the sea was capable to change people s emotionin such a positive
way. The poet, Pablo Neruda, in his poem The Sea illustrates how the sea teaches a trapped man a
lesson on how to be released from struggling to find freedom and happiness. The three crucial
poem writing elements, sound, structure, and figurative language make the power of sea more
vivid just like a picture we could see and have physical feelings about. And when we try to get a
deeper understanding of the poem, it is the sound that we hear first.
From a perspective of sound, it is obvious that there is a pattern in the poem that could provide
readers the same feel of the sea just by listening to it. The poet uses two techniques basically to
create that effect in terms of internal rhythm and soft sounds. For example, in the line I love the
sea because it teaches me and what it taught me before, I keep , a consonance syllable ee has been
used by Neruda. Also, there are several words containing the syllables like s , sh , and w playing an
essential role in creating the whole mood of the poem. For example, Neruda writes If it s a single
wave or its vast existence, / or only its
Machiavelli s Film Mr. Smith Goes To Washington
Niccolò Machiavelli was notorious for his actions and writings as a politician and philosopher,
among many other political and humanitarian titles. He lived in a time period during which Italy
was rife with political conflict, with city states battling each other for power. Machiavelli formated
specific opinions based on his experiences and what he witnessed of others whilst being in and out
of the throes of Italian government. He ended up writing one of his most famous works, The Prince,
in an attempt to return back to power. Within this work, he analyzes the complexities of governance
in a sort of how to guide style meant for a would be ruler. The significance of his analysis comes
from his unsentimental and realistic view of human nature... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The politics of our government today have become increasingly corrupted, which plays to
Machiavelli s disbelief in a more benevolent human nature. In the film Mr. Smith Goes to
Washington, a young senator truly possesses the honesty and virtuosity that most politicians exude
and gets completely and utterly chewed up and spit out by the governmental system. When trying to
put a bill into motion, his political comrades fail to support him and betray him in order to maintain
their self interests. Both in films like these and in real life, virtue tends to become a thing of
presentation in order to gain public approval and loyalty. A highly relevant instance of this is our
current presidential election. Both of our candidates have their evident faults, but they have made
appeals to the ethos and pathos of American citizens and tried to come off as virtuous in their own
ways. Social media completely promotes these tactics, and the government s politics and their
connection to appearance over virtue aligns with Machiavelli s principles. It is evident that the
advice he provided to future rulers in The Prince has evolved and ingrained itself within the very
core of America s political
The Founding Fathers Summary
In the book Founding Mothers and Fathers: Gendered Power and the Forming of American Society
by Mary Beth Norton, she explores not only the initial formation of the American colonies, but also
how it related to the family unit, which was quite important to both English society and the one
forming in the colonies. This text, which explores the time period from 1620 to 1670 is written in
three parts, each centered on a familyor individual who defied the traditional societal norms as well
as analyzing the ways in which the colonies dealt with these dissenters from the social norms. The
book begins however with an explanation of the view of the world that the colonists likely lived by
when they first arrived on American shores, as well as its lack of femaleinfluence, and how it would
eventually change to something not unlike what we have in our society today.... Show more content

He believed that the central power of the state, as well as the family, centered on the male
influence of the family. It was a power based in scripture, specifically the Fifth Commandment
which ordered each and every believer to honor thy father and mother. If men failed to fulfill their
obligation to keep their families stable in order, which the head of the Pinion clan, as will be later
addressed, failed to do, then both the family and society will fall into disarray. The purpose of this
book as a whole is to explore and analyze the power relationships in society and politics in colonial
America through the analysis of surviving court records, which were abundant in the New England
colonies but less so in
Analysis Of The Film Green Lantern
As one can imagine, being trapped out in the ocean, hundreds of feet from any kind of safety
while an enormous shark is circling you, has to be the most frightening experience one can
endure. Nancy, a young medical student ventures out to a secluded beach in Mexico to enjoy
some time surfing, but little does she know how close to death she will come. The suspense that
builds up as Nancy struggles to escape her predator throughout the film is what keeps the viewers
on their toes, as the entire movie revolves around her plan to make it back to shore. This being the
plot, can seem dull and uninteresting at first, but as the film progresses, it s hard to take your eyes
off the screen. The acting of Blake Lively, who plays Nancy, helps to make the film even better, as
many people know her from her other acting rolls, such as Sarena van der Woodsen from the hit
television show Gossip Girl and Carol Ferris from the film Green Lantern . The director of the
film, Jaume Collet Serra, is known for creating movies with an extensive amount of suspense. He
is able to get an incredible performance from actors, as well as understand all of the scenes from
the perspective of the viewers, thus giving him the ability to know exactly what needs to take place
to keep the film interesting. Because Blake Lively is in every scene, it is obvious that the film is
customized to her and her acting skills. She portrays a protagonist who most overcome her fear and
gain strength throughout the course
High School Football in Texas is Out of Control Essay
Abstract: High school football in the state of Texas has become out of control. The sport is no
longer played for the sake of the school but rather has become a Friday night ritual to these small
towns in Texas. The players are no longer just high school kids inter acting in school sports but have
now become heroes to these small towncommunities. Communities simply no longer support their
local high school team but rally in pride of their hometown rivalry against another team. School
administratorsand coachesno longer are teachers and mentors for the kids but are the equivalent to
what in professional football are team owners and real coaches . Parents have become agents and
sacrifice their jobs and homes so that their child... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to many, the game has become out of control in Texas, but continues to draw crowds
in by the thousands. For as long as most of us can remember, academics and sports have co
existed in the school system. Sports should support the academic program. It should supplement
learning, team playing and enhance life skills. It should be fun, not life threatening, is should be
part of life, not your whole life. In Texas, academics gets swept aside in favor of football, parents
quit their jobs and uproot the family in search of better football schools, and students and players
alike spend most of their high school years in a football crazed state of mind.

Over seventy thousand dollars was spent in 1990 for the Permian Panthers travel budget. The
business community is one of the main reasons this figure is so high, every year the community
fights for who will get certain pages in the Permian program booklets that are sold at each game.
The programs generate over fifty thousand dollars and are about thirty to forty pages long. In 1988
the Permian yearbook alone generated over twenty thousand dollars ...virtually every lawyer,
doctor, insurance firm, car dealer, restaurant, and oil field supply business in town had taken out an
ad. (Bissinger 40) The yearbook ran two hundred and twenty four pages and had over five hundred
business ads. Every year that the Panthers would go to state competition every business would

Targeted Aspects of Consumer Behavior
Consumer behavior is vital for marketers to understand when determining how to market a product

fewer finances. According to an article by Groves (2014), Fitbit was able to produce the right

compete with major fitness gurus.

John Cena Research Paper
If I could be like someone I know I would choose John Cena. John Cena is a professional WWE
wrestler, rapper and actor. John Cena is a well known wrestler, but did you know he also has
granted 500 children s wishes by working with the Make A Wish Foundation. Thanks to John
Cena s efforts of helping children out he has become a well known and respected celebrity as well
as a role model. I am not into wrestling or the WWE but I thought about trying to find someone
outside of my comfort zone and try that out. This is why I choose John Cena.

John Cena s physical traits are one thing that makes him the person he is. He has a huge body
build because he works out to train for wrestling and this has also resulted in him having a square
chin. He typically wears clothing with matching color, these cloths are usually gym shorts, a t
shirt and a baseball cap. As you know his character traits include him being a wrestler, but I didn t
mention much about his rapping and acting careers. He made an album back in 2005 for WWE
that is a bunch of rap songs about his life and wrestling and he has starred in a couple of movies, one

he acts out fights, yes I said it wrestling is fake. John Cena has taught me one thing from all of this,
