DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR TAMILNADU, PUDUCHERRY & KARAIKAL AREA

I) SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 0830 HRS IST:

a) Rainfall: Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamilnadu. Dry weather prevailed over
Puducherry and Karaikal area.

Chief amount of rainfall in centimeters:

Chinnakalar (dist Coimbatore) 2, Naduvattam (dist The Nilgiris), Devala (dist The Nilgiris),
Glenmorgan (dist The Nilgiris), Gudalur Bazar (dist The Nilgiris), Upper Gudalur (dist The Nilgiris),
Tiruttani (dist Tiruvallur), Valparai PAP (dist Coimbatore), Barwood (dist The Nilgiris), Valparai PTO
(dist Coimbatore) 1 each.

b) Description of temperature:
No large change in Maximum temperature with slight falling tendency over Tamilnadu,
Puducherry and Karaikal area during the past 24 hrs.

Maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-3°C at a few places over Tamilnadu. Generally
near normal over rest Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.

Madurai Airport recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.0°C over Tamilnadu.
Karur Paramathi recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0°C in the plains of Tamilnadu.
