ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF THE
NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP 2023
Reporting Period: July 24, 2023 - August 25, 2023
INTRODUCTION
The National Learning Camp (NLC) 2023, undertaken by the Department of Education
(DepEd), aims to provide a comprehensive and standardized fun-filled learning experience
for Grade 7 and Grade 8 students across the country. This accomplishment report highlights
the key activities, achievements, and outcomes of the NLC 2023 in Himaya National High
School during the abovementioned reporting period.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The NLC 2023 focuses on the following key objectives:
1. Ensure equitable access to quality education for Grade 7 and 8 students.
2. Enhance teachers' professional development and capacity-building.
3. Utilize technology for innovative and effective learning methodologies.
4. Foster a conducive and safe learning environment for students.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1. Curriculum Enhancement:
The teachers collaborated with subject matter experts in other schools and
asked assistance from respective Technical Assistance Providers (TAP) on
how to go along with the most essential learning competencies found in the
students’ workbooks.
The teachers developed supplementary learning materials, including digital
resources and printed LRs to support students in learning settings.
2. Teacher Training and Development:
The teachers, headed by the School Head, conducted a series of in-person
collaborative expertise every Monday and Friday focusing on pedagogical
approaches, technology and games integration, and student-centered teaching
methods.
The teachers also established an online platform for continuous collaborative
expertise which allows them to access resources and participate and engage in
peer discussions.
3. Technology Integration:
The school launched a centralized e-learning platform through Google Drive
featuring interactive lessons, videos, and assessments, catering to various
grade levels and subjects.
4. Parent and Community Engagement:
The school organized biweekly meetings for parents and guardians,
educating them about the NLC's objectives, curriculum changes, and ways to
support their children's education.
5. Assessment and Monitoring:
Implemented a teacher-made assessment system for diagnostic tests to gauge
student learning outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Utilized real-time data analytics to track students' progress and tailor
instructional strategies accordingly through crafting a Progress Monitoring
Tool.
IMPACT AND OUTCOMES
1. Increased Student Engagement:
The utilization of students’ workbooks and fun-filled learning experiences
and games led to a noticeable increase in student engagement and
participation in both Grade 7 and Grade 8 learners.

2. Enhanced Teacher Competence:
The collaborative expertise every Monday and Friday indicated significant
improvements in pedagogical skills, resulting in more effective classroom
management and student interaction.
3. Data-Informed Decision-Making:
Real-time data analysis facilitated prompt interventions to address learning
gaps and adapt instructional methods, enhancing overall learning
outcomes.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the National Learning Camp 2023 has been successful in bringing better
education to students, helping teachers become better at teaching, and using technology and
games for learning. Everyone, including teachers, parents, and the community in Himaya
National High School, has worked together to make this program a success. As we move
forward, it is important to keep checking how well the program is doing and making changes
as needed, so that it keeps helping students in the best way possible.
