ENDURING Animals are part of the living world. They live in different places
UNDERSTANDING on land, water, trees. Some of these animals live in house,
while others live in farms. Animals have different body parts
that are adopted to the place where they live.

UNLOCKING: Motivate / Introduce/ Explore
1. Review of previous lesson: Use the previous lesson of sense
PROCEDURE organs in doing a listening activity.
2. Motivation; Using a YouTube video engage the learners in
listening the different sounds of the animals.
3. Have the students describe it.
4. After listening, let the students name the animals and describe
the various animal sounds.
UNPACKING/ EXPLAINING: Discuss/ Process/ Analyze/ Critique
1. To fully understand the lesson, watch the video about animals
METHODOLOGY in the community.
2. Ask the students to name the various animals that they
typically see in their own community before they watch the
video.
3. After watching, ask questions about the video.
EXPANSION/ DEEPENING: Collaborate/ Practice/ Create /Apply
1. Assign the learners to do an individual activity.
STRATEGY
2. Before doing the activity, Ask the learners if they know the
animals in their community.
3. Individual activity: Students will be given animal cutouts by
the teacher to glue onto paper plates, and they will write
their favorite animal on the opposite side of the plate.
4. After explaining what they need to do give them 5-10
minutes to finish the task.
