ABSTRACT.
This report is a compilation of the twelve weeks industrial attachment I had at Rural
Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation, Finance and Accounting department. It
summarizes the work done during this period, problems encountered and includes suggestions
and recommendations on how to counter the problems. It contains highlights of specific tasks
performed, strong and weak points of the attachment as compared to the curriculum. My assessor
NAME requested for a report on DATE.

DEDICATION.
This training report is dedicated to my entire Maroko family for the support, constant
encouragement and also support they offered to ensure that I had all that I required to carry out
my attachment peacefully.
CHAPTER ONE:
1.0 INTRODUCTION.
An industrial attachment is a planned, credit-bearing internship in a setting of professional
employment where students apply and develop their knowledge and abilities. It was created to
provide students with inspiration and practical, technical skills as part of their awards and as an
introduction to the workforce. The training period enables the student to connect the theoretical
concepts they have learned over the years. It equips students with the practical skills and
workplace philosophy they need to put the knowledge they have gained in the classroom to use
in serving organizations and society at large. To give every student the chance to put the skills
and information they have learned in their course into practice, Kabarak University has planned a
12-week industrial attachment in any institution of your choice.

CHAPTER TWO.
2.0 OBJECTIVES OF THE ATTACHMENT.
The attachment program's specific goal is to give students the opportunity to gain the practical
experience they will need to find employment after graduation. Additionally, it gives students the
chance to put the theoretically learned principles and approaches to use in actual problem-
solving scenarios. Additionally, it links training facilities with businesses to place students there
so they can learn practical skills and proper work ethics before entering the workforce. The
student experiences a real working environment as a result of learning practical information and
skills through industrial attachment, which will inspire, develop, and boost their confidence.

3.1.7 RULES AND REGULATIONS.
4.0 ATTACHMENT DETAILS.
4.1 WORK EXPERIENCE.
In this section, I will be writing about my work experience while on attachment at Rural
Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation. It entails my personal contribution towards
corporation and the skills and knowledge acquired at the time of the attachment.

4.1.1 Personal contribution towards the organization.

During the twelve weeks of my attachment period, I contributed to the following areas in the
organization:
i. Achievement of organizational goal.
We managed to go for a stock take where we were doing the physical count of materials used in
the supply of electricity to various areas.
ii. Assisting the organization meet the time.
I managed to assist the employees of the organization to fill their Kenya Revenue Authority
returns in time with the help of other employees in the organization. Through this I managed to
gain different skills.
4.1.2 Relation with the staff.
Through the entire time of my attachment period, the employees of the corporation were so
friendly to me being that I was a social lady hence teamwork. Through good relationship with
my fellow staff, they were always willing to teach me new ideas and later give me tasks to
confirm whether am progressing well or not.
4.1.3 Challenges and their resolutions.
The major challenge I faced during my first few days to the attachment was only catching up
with the environment as I had never before been in a working environment. Attachment is
therefore necessary to all students in order for them to know how to handle different people from
different diversities in the workplace. Interaction later became so well after few days enabling
proper cooperation and commitment.
4.1.4 Advice to future interns.
First, I will advise future attaches to be open-minded and ready to learn. The basis of an
attachment if for one to gain new skills even if they are not in your field of expertise. Secondly,
future attaches should be proactive to say yes for everything. This will show their commitment to
work to ensure the corporation achieve its goals and objectives.
CHAPTER FIVE
5.0 Recommendations.
5.1.1 To the organization.
 More opportunities to students to do intern in their organization; I would recommend the
organization to continue giving attachment placements to as many students as they can
because some miss this experience which is also an important requirement by the
University.
 Serious supervision of the employees and students; the organization should increase and
ensure more supervision over the employees in order to work efficiently and eliminate
workers who relax and work lazily and perform actively after seeing the supervisors.
5.1.2 To the university.
 Constant supervision of students; I recommend the university to carry out constant
supervision and monitoring of the students during their attachment period so as to
encourage them perform their duties accurately and effectively.
 Secure attachment placements for students; the university should assist the students to
seek attachment placements according to their respective programs undertaken in the
university through giving them recommendation in order to ease their training periods
and also to avoid the ache gotten by students in search for attachment placements.
 Should continue with the attachment program; this is because it helps to prepare the
students for their careers in future and also enable them to practice their theoretical
knowledge obtained during class work. It also help develop students understanding of
work ethics, employment demands, responsibilities and opportunities.
CHAPTER SIX.
6.0 CONCLUSION.
In conclusion, I benefited a lot in the field of attachment in a way that I managed to apply the
theoretical knowledge from the university into practice through the many
activities/tasks/assignments that I was always instructed to do.
I improved my skills including interpersonal, listening ,acting freely around people, presentation
skills, typing skills, accounting, recording, presentation to mention but a few.
Finally, attachment was fun and therefore I would encourage Rural Electrification and
Renewable Energy to continue giving students this opportunity to do their academic requirement
of attachment from their organization.
