INSPECTION
ELECTRICAL
1 Extinguishant Control Panel is in normal condition and fault-free.
2 230v ac Main power supply "On".
3 Extinguishant control panel devices are in good condition
4 Internal and External Sounders are in good condition
5 Back-up batteries in good condition.
6 Extinguishant control panel and devices are free from obstruction.
7 Extinguishant control panel and devices are free from any physical
damages.
8 Extinguishant Remote Status units are free from any damages and
obstructions
9 Check all the ancillary functions of the controller.
Check the installation to ascertain whether structural or occupancy
10 changes have affected the requirements for the siting of INERGEN fire
alarm devices.
Check the fixings for the control panel and all detectors, sounders and
11 ancillary equipment which form part of the INERGEN fire detection
system.
Check the cable fixings at the control panel and all detectors, sounders,
12 ancillary equipment, solenoid actuator,key maintenance switch and
discharge pressure switch for correct connection.
MECHANICAL
1 Check all INERGEN cylinder from any physical damages and
obstruction.
2 Check all manifolds and discharge hoses from any physical damages
and obstruction.
3 Check pipe works for any physical damages.
4 Check nozzles for any physical damages and obstructions.
5 Check solenoid & booster actuators for any physical damages.
6 Check Discharge pressure switch for any physical damages.
7 Check manual release actuators in normal position.
8 Check manual release actuator safety pins in place.
9 Check the discharge pressure switch for any physical damages.
TESTING
1 Remove all solenoid actuators before performing any test in the
INERGEN system
2 Test Automatic and Manual activation of the of the INERGEN system as per design criteria or cause and
effect. Following test should be conducted:
2A All LEDs lighted during Lamp Test.
Activate one detector from any zone and check that the system reponds as follows:
a.The controller's internal buzzer sounds in a continuous tone.
b.The Zone red "FIRE" LED's on the controller front panel light.
c.Check the First Stage Bell operate .

d. Check the tripping/activation of third party interface, example AHU.

e.The alphanumeric display gives the location of the alarm in the main
fire alarm panel.
Activate one detecor from each zone and check that the system reponds as follows:
a. The controller's internal buzzer sounds in a continuous tone.
b. The Zone red "FIRE" LED's on the controller front panel light.
c.The Second stage Flasher sounders operate (intermitent sound).
d. The Alphanumeric display gives the location of the alarm in the main
2C fire alarm panel.
e. Check the action of abort switch to hold the release command
f. Check after 30 sec. Agent Release 'RED LED' on the control panel
light
g. Check activation of the Solenoid & booster actuators of the
INERGEN Cylinder.
h.The second stage sounders operate (continuous sound).
3 Reset the INERGEN Panel.
4 Reset the Main Fire Alarm Panel.
Check fault indicators by simulating a FAULT condition in each loop by either:
a. Removing a detector from its base.
5 b. Disconnecting the loop cable from any device.
c. Removing the end-of-line resistor from the monitor interface modules.
6 Test activation of the key maintenance switch by putting it in
maintenance(indicator activation) and auto mode
7 Test activation of the pressure switch in the System.
8 Repeart the same test procedure in battery supply after disconnecting
the main supply
9 System left in service.
MAINTENANCE
1 Check and repair/replace all damaged components
2 Check hoses dried before the system is put in service
3 Check all INERGEN cylinders Gas pressure
Check the battery & battery charger output voltages.
4 Clean all cylinder and accessories.
Clean the control panel, detectors,remote status unit, Sounders & Flash
5
Light.
6 Check hose exposed to hazardous chemicals is disposed off
7 Check system is put in service
8 Check Engineer Report is prepared and attached with this checklist
