Event Category ZUMBA (Category A & B)

Objective Develop the skills of students particularly dancing


Theme: FREESTYLE
Time Mechanics 3-5minutes Participants 30 students per entry
EVENT GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
SPECIFIC RULES AND GUIDELINES:
1. Each group shall be complete during the contest. Not complete because of absent
will have 2pts deduction in total score. (30 learners per grade level)
2. Order of Performances will be based on the number they picked prior to the contest.
3. Groups must submit their music two days before the proper contest. Failure to
submit will have 2 pts deduction in total score.
4. Music and Choreography should be wholesome and lively must not contains any
subliminal, sexually suggestive and vulgar lyrics/languages or suggestive act.
5. The group contest should contain at least 60% in modernized/stylized music and is in
fast modern tempo.
6. The Performance must be at least 3 minutes but not more than 5 minutes including
their yells representing their team name. Any excess in time will have three (3) points’
deduction/min total score. However each group will be given 2 minutes to prepare/ set
up any props or equipment’s needed on the stage/ performing area.
7. Use of props will be allow as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and
any harm to the performance of ohter groups.
8. Appropriate clothing should be observed throughout the competition. Attire may
include accessories such hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. Removing pieces
of clothing during the performance is allowed provided that it is not offensive or out of
the character.
9. Appropriate action should be observe during the performance.

Mastery and Execution 30%
Choice of Music and Costumes 20%
Audience Impact 10%
TOTAL 100%
