OCSS Events are logged whenever an event or fault occurs.
To access the OCSS Event Log,

3.7 How to Clear Event and Operation Mode Logs?


To clear the Event or Operation Mode Logs you need to be in each
log. Then,
Press Shift(blue) key, then the 5 (SEL OUT) key,
Followed by, Shift(blue), then Clear(ENTER)

3.8 Time and Date Stamp


Every Event and Operation Mode is logged with the time and date it
occurred. To view the time and date when an Event or Operation
Mode happened, you must be in each log. Then,
Press Shift(blue) key, then 2(UP) or 3(DOWN)
To return to the previous screen
Press Shift(blue) key, then 2(UP) or 3(DOWN)again

4.2 LMCSS Switches


4.2.1 SW1 - Push Button reset switch.
q Restarts the LMCSS operating system when a fault
shuts down the elevator.
q Resets 'Runs since Reset/Minutes since Reset' to
zero.
q Will not reset the Error Log.

4.2.2 SW2 - 3-position switch.


q EDG - Enhanced Diagnostics - set to OFF.
q ENA - EEPROM Enable switch - set to OFF, or the
elevator will not run.
q ANSI - Set to OFF for Australian Code.

4.8 Car on Fire Service with Doors Closed


The following procedure can be used to o pen the car doors, from the
SVT, when the car is switched to IN-CAR Fire Service, with the doors
shut.
q Determine Car Operating Mode - press M-1-1-1.
q EFS - Car Fire Service switched on.
q EFO - Hall Fire Service switched on.
q Disconnect the OCSS to MCSS communications by pulling out
Plug P4 from RCBII.
q Plug the SVT into the LMCSS SVT port, J11.
q Access the MCSS Monitor Status/Commands Screen - press
M-2-1-2.

9. Taking Control of the Elevator


During routine maintenance or when attending a callback to the
elevator system it maybe necessary for SAFETY reasons to take the
car out of the group and prevent the doors from opening.

The following steps may be used to take control of the elevator.

NOTE:
THE CAR CAN NOT BE “KICKED” UP OR DOWN BY
MANUALLY PUSHING IN MAIN SWITCH M.

CAUTION
1. When riding on top of the Car the elevator must always be
run on INSPECTION Mode.
2. Be aware that a car switched to INSPECTION Mode may
Run at FAST SPEED if an internal fault develops within
the Control System.

9.1 Placing the Car onto Inspection – Hand Control.


The elevator system is fitted with a;
Ø Top of Car Inspection Station, and
Ø Controller Inspection Station.

The elevator may be placed onto Controller Inspection and run on
slow speed from the machine room;
1. Move the Controller Inspection switch from Normal to Inspection
position.
Inspection relays INA & INB will drop out.
2. Run the Car by pressing the UP or DOWN button on the Controller
Inspection station.
3. The Car will continue to run until the buttons are released, or the
Direction Limits 5LS or 6LS are operated when the Car reaches the
terminal landing.

NOTES:
Ø Top of Car Inspection will always override Controller
Inspection.
Ø 5LS - Bottom Terminal Floor Direction Limit.
Ø 6LS – Top Terminal Floor Direction Limit.

9.2 Running the Car at Contract Speed out of the


Group
The following procedure will take the elevator out of the group. It can
then be run from the machine room using the Service Tool, with the
doors blocked (in software) from opening.
1. Disconnect the OCSS to MCSS communications by pulling out
Plug P4 from RCBII.
2. Plug the SVT into the LMCSS SVT port, J11.
3. Access the MCSS Monitor Status/Commands Screen - press M-
2-1-2.
4. To close the doors (if they have opened), press the GO ON key
until FCLD is displayed. Press the Shift (blue) and Enter keys.
The front doors will close.
Caution
When using the SVT to close the doors through the
LMCSS, the Lambda Door Protection WILL NOT
OPERATE to re-open the doors should a person or an
object be placed within the door entrance.

5. To move the car to another landing, press the GO ON key until


GTN is displayed.
6. Enter a valid landing number with the SVT, then press the Shift
(blue) and Enter keys.
7. The car will run at normal speed to that floor. The doors will
remain closed.
NOTE: The Car will not move unless the Doors and Safety
Circuit are closed.
8. To open the car doors, press the GO ON key until FOPD is
displayed. Then press the Shift (blue) and Enter keys. The
front doors will open if the car is in the door zone and /FSO
signal at the DISS is ON.
9. To return the car to normal service, re-connect the OCSS to
MCSS communications, Plug P4, on RCBII.
