The diagram show how cherry jam is produced.

There are 9 major steps in the

process , beginning with collecting cherries and ending with labeling products.
In the preparation phase, the cherry farmers tie the rope around the tree’s body to
shake the tree. The farmers havest the falling cherries by a huge carpet around the tree.
After collecting fresh fruit, the packing workers pack the collected cherries and move it
into the trucks by a lifting vehicle called the folklift. They transport packed cherries to
the processing plant. In the manufacturing phase, the workers put fresh cherries into
sorting machine to remove leaves and stem. This steps help workers pick up qualified
cherries only. The sorted cherries are dropped into washing machine with fresh water to
chean the dirt. The next step is separating cherries’ seed. The workers arrange washed
cherries on a machine line to remove the pits from cherries and press them against the
stone. Next, there is a bartending step. The bartenders prepare sugar, pectin, lemon
juice, seedless cherries and pour everything into a large vessel to mix them together by
a mixing machine. Next in the process is qualifying. An examiner tastes the freshly-
made cherries to make sure the cherry jam is qualified to produce. In the finishing
phase, packing workers pour the well-qualified cherry jam into the jar. The jars are
sealed before they are labeled and ready to sell in the market.
