1.0 PURPOSE

1.1 To ensure all the staff involve in performing the quality activities are trained.

2.0 SCOPE

2.1 Applicable to new staff, staff below performance and promotion / transfer to new
position.

5.0 RESPONSIBILITY

5.1 Training needs for the supervisor & above shall be identified by General Manager
while the General Manager training shall be identified by Managing Director.

5.2 Non technical staff training needs shall be identified by the respective head of
department.

5.3 Training records and staff resumes shall be kept & updated by the Administration.

7.0 PROCEDURE DETAIL

7.1 Recruitment of staff

7.1.1 The head of respective department shall identify their staff requirement and
assisted by Administration Department for sourcing through media.

7.1.2 Shortlisted candidate shall be invited to attend interview with Managing Director.

7.1.3 Successful applicant shall be given a letter of appointment by Administrative


Department specifying the terms and conditions of employment.

7.1.4 Staff recruited for performing the activity that will affect the quality of work shall
be qualified based on the appropriate education, training and / or experience.

7.2 Orientation

7.2.1 Administration shall conduct orientation to brief new staff on the business
process, structure, policies and quality system.

7.2.2 New staff shall be introduced to the existing staff and his immediate superior.

7.2.3 A job specification shall be provided to new staff by Administration Department.

7.3 Quality System Familiarization

7.3.1 The immediate superior shall explain the quality system and leads him through all
the relevant procedures that related to his job.

7.3.2 The staff's superior shall be responsible to guide him through this familiarization
period.

7.3.3 Extend of familiarization period shall depend on the capability to absorb.

7.4 Identification of Training Need


7.4.1 Training need for the supervisor and above shall be identified by General
Manager while the General Manager training shall be identified by Managing
Director

7.4.2 Identifying the training needs for the staff shall carry out on yearly basis by
using the Training Need Identification Form.

7.5 Training

7.5.1 Upon completion of training, the staff shall submit a copy of the course certificate
(if available) to Administration for updating staff training record.

7.5.2 Head of Department is responsible to ensure the new staff undergoes appropriate
on job training conducted by experience staff. Documented procedures shall
be used as a training tool.

7.5.3 Once on job training is completed, the training record shall be updated for
staff by Administration. The head of department shall evaluate the effectiveness
of training in the Training Record. If the effectiveness of training is poor, the
staff shall be retrained.

8.0 RECORDS

8.1 All the quality records shall be retained and controlled according to Control of Quality
Records Procedures. ( AD-05 )
